TTC after miscarriage - January 2020

Hello all (and late Merry Christmas!)

Looking for TTC buddies in a similar situation! 👋

In September I accidentally became pregnant. We had planned to begin TTC in Jan 2020 anyway, so we were really excited. Sadly, at my 12 week scan on 25th Nov, I found out I had had a missed miscarriage and the baby had stopped growing at about 9 weeks. The week that followed was one of the most traumatic in my life, having failed medical management and then an ERPC. All this happened whilst I was in another country.

Since then my recovery has been okay but all I can think about is wanting to be pregnant again and have been hoping and praying that my period returns soon so that we can officially start trying.

This morning I have had brown discharge and cramping, so it does feel like AF is on the way. So I guess I am going to count today as CD1 of my first official TTC cycle?

I wondered if anyone had been through anything similar and if so I am so sorry for your loss and what you had to go through. It really is a horrendous time. 💐

Hi love, hmm dunno. I feel like I know the difference between pregnancy cramps and period cramps and this feels like period.

I went to the loo for the first time this morning and my discharge was yellowy-pink so I assume AF is on its way. Just not sure my darling, but I really hope not.

Why would I get a positive if I wasnt? I know CP but I didn't think life would be that cruel. 😥

You can see I have a tendency to always assume the worst! 🤣

@Stephyrose I had lots of AF cramps at the start of pregnancy. Really hope this is what it is for you!!

I woke up today with temp rise, fuller boobs and back pain . Sometimes I get fuller boobs with AF though so you never know 😅 I am making a not of symptoms so that if I dont catch this month, I know what's normal for next month

@MilsCookie yeah you may have ovulated earlier! The symptoms sound promissing. I never had the weird taste when I was pregnant but I know a lot of women do

I am in awe of your dedication, @ChampooPapi . We've DTD 8 times in 10 days, and I thought we'd done well! Some of it has been just 'getting the job done', though.

@StephyRose I also had a little spotting with my son. It’s definitely not over until the fat lady sings. That’s what I say anyway.

@FIreflyGirl the test is defo positive but only a little darker than yesterday I think. Might not test for a few days now. AF due tomorrow.

@SweetpeaOrMarigold how many dpo are you now?

The wait is torture!! I'm already 100% convinced it hasnt happened for me this month. I had so many signs last time from so early...nothing at all this time.

@BS9790 I have no idea 🙄
MC was 3rd Jan so I'm day 16 of cycle if thats a cycle. Have had cramps and nausea and sore boobs since 15th (D13) and with recent pg I was like that from 3dpo. I know my boobs were massive and sore by d9po so will be looking out for that.

I’ve brushed my teeth this morning and still have that weird taste. 😖 had some weird twinges in the night as well. Probably nothing but just noting anything I feel here!

@SweetpeaOrMarigold I'm cd20, taking mc bleeding as day 1 of cycle. I think I ovulated around sat/sun/mon as sat/sun were my strongest lines on opks. So we're around a similar place, fingers crossed you get good news xx

@BS9790 how many dpo are you now? I’m on CD24 but not entirely sure how many dpo I am as no idea when I ovulated. Before my mmc my cycles were every 33/34 days so I’m going to test around 28th Jan if I can last that long! I have no idea if how I feel at the mo is anything related to pregnancy but today I’ve continued to have the weird taste in my mouth and feel a bit nauseous. No noticeable twinges today compared with the last two days so who knows. Could all just be progesterone related and AF still due!! We will see. Feels like so long to wait! 😩

This TWW is driving me crazy!!! One week down one to go.

Last time I didn’t think about symptoms before hand until about the day before AF was due and manage to wait a couple of days after AF before I tested. Now all I want to do is test but it’s too early and also scared that I’ll get a BFN but also scared if I get the BFP because what if it all goes wrong again. It’s all just such a headfuck (sorry for the language)

@ELM7 exactly right though, I started crying today because I felt sick and I didn't know why. DP thinks I'm losing the plot. One half of me is saying I'm pregnant and the other half is saying 'that will be last nights chinese takeaway'. Then even if I am pregnant, a positive doesn't mean anything anymore. Because I had lovely positives a month ago and it went back to negative in a week. Wish I could be one of those people that only realises they are pregnant at 20 weeks!

@MilsCookie I'm not sure, either 6/7/8 dpo I think. I didn't ever get a raging positive in opks, they gradually got darker and were darkest last Saturday & Sunday, they then went back to barely visible. I had some pains on Monday, so wondered if that could be ovulation. But tbh I haven't got a clue.
Worried I've relied on the opks rather than my usual dates
My pre mc was a 33 day cycle, with me ovulating on day 19... This month according to the opks would of been ovulation around day 14.

Would of just carried on DTD to cover my back, lol, but it was quite painful on Monday, then diagnosed with uti later in week so there's been no more BD since Mon!

@ELM7 yes thats how I feel! 6dpo atm and really want to know if I am pregnant but really testing early will mean I worry for a few days more than if I waited till after period

And I still get the excitement of wondering if I am pregnant or not! Just gotta try and get through these next 7/8 days 😭😭

Currently sitting back with a glass of lemonade in a gin glass because as much as I’d like to make it a very large gin best not just in case 😂
