TTC after miscarriage - January 2020

Hello all (and late Merry Christmas!)

Looking for TTC buddies in a similar situation! 👋

In September I accidentally became pregnant. We had planned to begin TTC in Jan 2020 anyway, so we were really excited. Sadly, at my 12 week scan on 25th Nov, I found out I had had a missed miscarriage and the baby had stopped growing at about 9 weeks. The week that followed was one of the most traumatic in my life, having failed medical management and then an ERPC. All this happened whilst I was in another country.

Since then my recovery has been okay but all I can think about is wanting to be pregnant again and have been hoping and praying that my period returns soon so that we can officially start trying.

This morning I have had brown discharge and cramping, so it does feel like AF is on the way. So I guess I am going to count today as CD1 of my first official TTC cycle?

I wondered if anyone had been through anything similar and if so I am so sorry for your loss and what you had to go through. It really is a horrendous time. 💐

Aw no 😔 @Ejb86 any chance it’s implantation bleeding? Or was it too heavy for that?

Wow @ChampooPapi !! 20 times is impressive 😮 I think we’ve done it around 10 times over the last week so I’m also hoping that will have done the trick!! But with this BV I think that will have affected me this month so pretty much expecting a BFN.

@Ejb86 sorry to hear that lovely. Are your sure it’s AF if only in CD26? 😘

We've been very busy BD too, for some reason since MC I'm very horny keen.
I presume its my body telling me to get back onto it!

it has been pretty crazy, but also completely fantastical as well. Had some great sex, so very boring sex, some mind blowing sex, some truly awful sex, some hilarious sex, and everything in-between.

January just had to be like this for us, we knew it was coming after af came after Christmas. My partners words were 'go hard or go home' (so many puns 😆).

I'm not exaggerating either, I just counted back and it's exactly twenty times including today. Bloody hell women, Im going to go the other way for February if not successful, just do it once a week and hope for the best 🤔

I guess having two other children we know exactly how much sex one has when pregnant or with a small baby (read zero for us!). So easier to get down knowing it will be in short supply once I've got a bun in the oven 😁

Ladies I am cramping quite a lot today and had a temp dip, I am reaaaaaaly hoping its implantation but trying not to get Hope's up

@BecsterG I am 5/6dpo (bit early for implantation but the cycle I was pregnant I think I implanted early then!

@Anny27 definitely could be as too early for AF cramps. I had cramps from about 4DPO this time.

I have no idea where I’m at in terms of DPO because I’m not sure when I ovulated, but as it’s CD23 I’m assuming I have... but I have a very weird taste in my mouth similar to what I had last time before I got my BFP. Can’t tell if I’m imagining it though!! 😕

@Anny27 @MilsCookie sounds really positive 👍🏼 I’m cramping on and off for 3 days now, I’m also exhausted and so small amounts of nausea! Praying it’s not all in my head

@BecsterG it’s so difficult! I feel a bit odd at the moment but feel like I’m just thinking too much into it. No idea when I ovulated. I used to think it was around CD18 in previous cycles but I’ve just looked through my notes on the Flo app and it was CD15 when I started feeling ovulation type cramps. So it could be that I’m already 8dpo! But I really have no idea. I went to brush my teeth and I still have that weird taste!! 😖

@Cruiser1 sounds promising lovely! How many dpo are you?

I’m 7/8 DPO I think. But I had lots of positive positive OPKs after the MC but I think It’s 7/8 days
My nerves are gone, I guess it’s because there’s so much pressure. If I get AF I know I’m gonna be so devastated!

After the first MC I had AF twice and on both of them it was like all the devastation of the MC hit me again 😔 I really don’t wanna feel that again!

@Cruiser1 we did it twice a day often but he is away Monday morning untill Thursday so I basically spent Tuesday and Wednesdays luxuriating alone in bed with pants & pyjamas on 🙄 , usually sleep with nothing on the bottom half even when I'm alone. Mentally needed to be fully clothed in bed on those delicious solo snooze times.

He was around over new year's during that week though so had to make the most of his time off.

Waves @Ejb86, sorry to see af turned up your end. Wallowing needs to happen and Chocolate is a good start. Treat yourself over the next few days and remember you'll be in front of everyone who's in their two week wait right now who don't catch so we'll be rooting for you this time next month.

@MilsCookie I'm getting the gid for you! Trying to remain calm and sensible but I really think you've got a good chance this month and everything sounds really good, eeekk!

@ChampooPapi haha thank you... I really feel like I’m just imagining all the symptoms. With the one I miscarried it was an accident so wasn’t looking out for symptoms or anything in the TWW. But I definitely remember thinking around the time my period was due that I had a weird taste in my mouth and lack of sore boobs (after ALWAYS getting sore boobs 7 days before af) so I knew something was up.

I haven’t felt anything up until today where I’ve had this awful taste, some cramping and twinges on both sides of my abdomen (at first I thought it was just my right side but then tonight I’ve been feeling it on the left! 🤔) and also very slight nausea. I want it so bad I feel like I’ve wished the symptoms there if you know what I mean! It’s so frustrating having to wait to test 😩 I’m also away with DP’s family this weekend where I know alcohol is going to be involved and don’t want to drink any just in case 😬

Happy Saturday to all. AF is due today and I've woken up this morning with cramps .... I'm crossing everything but despite the tests, I am not 100% I'm convinced I'm PG.

@StephyRose Ekk fingers crossed. Did you test again today? Could just be pregnancy cramps though and you’re just nervous as AF is officially due today?

I’m due tomorrow and I too don’t believe it despite the positive tests although I do feel it. AF due tomorrow for me. I’m going to take my last FRER this morning. So nervous. I guess this is the problem with testing early.
