TTC after miscarriage - January 2020

Hello all (and late Merry Christmas!)

Looking for TTC buddies in a similar situation! 👋

In September I accidentally became pregnant. We had planned to begin TTC in Jan 2020 anyway, so we were really excited. Sadly, at my 12 week scan on 25th Nov, I found out I had had a missed miscarriage and the baby had stopped growing at about 9 weeks. The week that followed was one of the most traumatic in my life, having failed medical management and then an ERPC. All this happened whilst I was in another country.

Since then my recovery has been okay but all I can think about is wanting to be pregnant again and have been hoping and praying that my period returns soon so that we can officially start trying.

This morning I have had brown discharge and cramping, so it does feel like AF is on the way. So I guess I am going to count today as CD1 of my first official TTC cycle?

I wondered if anyone had been through anything similar and if so I am so sorry for your loss and what you had to go through. It really is a horrendous time. 💐

@StephyRose and @didslysquiddlydoo Yeay for the line progression. I too thought the lines would get darker stronger but I’m new to tests with lines. I’ve always used digital before. Here’s my 11DPO line.

@BS9790 I had a UTI in December although wasn’t 100% sure it wasn’t thrush and they gave me antibiotics too, once’s that we’re safe for pregnancy even though I wasn’t pregnant. Hope it passes quickly.

I’ve got one digital so just trying to hold out. Would rather take it on the day I’m due or Monday as a missed period. Think I’d feel more confident about it then. X

@StephyRose any chance you ovulated later? P.smy tests were always darker in afternoon which seems weird....

5dpo, temp dip and having cramps so 🤞🤞implantation and not Af haha

Not at all love. I did an afternoon one on Wednesday and it was darker than the morning one 💗 well I got a positive opk on the 4th, so I think I could have ovulated Sunday 5th or Monday 6th ...just hoping it's late implantation.

No AF symptoms yet and due tomorrow so keeping everything crossed. 🤞🤞

Everything crossed for you my lovely and that is a great sign. I always think mid cycle cramps is a good sign because if its def not AF, it must be implantation... that's my theory anyway! 🤞💗🤣

All these positive tests are amazing. Congratulations ladies! No one deserves a positive test more than the people in this group. Keeping my fingers crossed for you all for a happy healthy pregnancy 🤞🏻🌈🤰🏼

Congratulations all! I've tried to post the last few days but my phone is being a bit iffy. I had my BFP on Monday. Totally unexpected as didn't think I had ovulated as missed a few days using OPK sticks. I'm roughly 5+1 and nervous as hell. I'm symptom spotting like mad.

Lovely to see these lines @BecsterG @StephyRose. Just to offer a word of caution about digital pregnancy tests. I had three chemical pregnancies before I got pregnant with my daughter, each time I got 1-2 on a test on the day af was due and then got af a few days late. I know it's nice to see the words but getting a line that darkens is much more reliable

My opks are getting fainter, so I'm going to count tomorrow as 1dpo. Symptom spotting will start next Friday

I think I'm out. Been to the loo and had bleeding when I wiped. Had been hopeful that it might just be a little bit that came out when having a #2, but I dont think it is. This means my cycle has been 26 days. Had 28 last month so thought I'd settled back into my normal rhythm, but it appears not. Have to say, I'm gutted.

I'm done with sex, dtd yesterday and today at cd21 and cd22, I've had sex about 20 times now so I think I'm covered! And if I don't catch it's just the way the toast falls this month 🙏

As a serial tester I have just done my first of MANY tests over the next 2 weeks.
Honestly I've no idea what makes me do it so early. ICs arrived today so I saw it as a sign. Obviously bfn because I've probably not even implanted yet.

@ChampooPapi I would be very surprised if you don't!!!!!! I've got my fingers and toes crossed for you.

I've still no sign of my AF, and taken a pregnancy test and it is negative unfortunately. Clearly my cycles haven't gone back to normal 😅

@mlax what a nightmare, it's just one of those really stressful things isn't it, no denying it. You must be feeling absolutely crazy today! I would, I mean when your period arrives it is a good sign in the fact your cycles are happening and you can look forward to the next, but no AF, no positive test either. I really feel for you, this is not a good situation , please update us, one glimmer of hope is much later ovulation so will keep the faith for you lovely 💪♀️♥️

@ChampooPapi 20 times!!! Wow don’t think we could have done that years ago before my son was born! Ha ha Fingers and toes crossed.

@mlax how frustrating. Fingers crossed something shows soon whether it be positive test or AF!
