Dec/Jan Bus - Testing New Year

Hi ladiessss.

I thought about having some time away from MN but you get so much support here (and I need it at the moment!) so I thought I'd start a new thread for all those who are due to test end December/NY time.

Short LP (boo)
Chemical in October
AF due 30th December

So I had my implant out a few months ago, since then my cycles have been VERY short but regular (23-24 days). My luteal phase is very short 8-9 days which I think is what causing me issues. I conceived very quickly 3 years ago with typical 28-29 day cycles and I didn't track a thing (only CM). Last month got my positive OPK CD14. I'm not sure if I am going to track ovulation this month...

AF due 30th based on a 25 day cycle

@Flossie333 watery is fertile mucus so that’s perfect at the time you’re ovulating. Another indicator that you’re getting the timing right. It’s the dry sticky stuff or none at all when you’re not fertile.

@MrsERH yes keep testing! Have you been overly stressed at all this month as that can sometimes have an impact on your cycle?

I know it’s really really early but I want to test tomorrow morning. Trying to resist the urge

Morning All - Happy New Year and best wishes for baby dust for everyone in 2020!

Got back yesterday from the grand tour of visits to all the relatives which has taken up most of the 2WW which has been a good distraction. Currently DPO10 and itching to test but I promised myself after the CP last cycle that I wouldn't before an actual missed period in the future. But oh my I've got so many symptoms (I'm not typically a symptom spotter either) but my boobs have just been on FIRE for days now and I've got this weird sour acid taste in my mouth plus achy hips and very vivid dreams. Not typical for me.

How is everyone else doing?

Can I join I won't be on this bus as I'm going to the doctors for high strength folic acid today so I'll need to take it for 6 weeks but I need some baby chat and I also haven't been tracking my periods so I might need some tips

We conceived quickly last two times but I'm 39 this year so not as confident about fertility

I have two girls already hoping to have my last baby before I'm 40

My Ovia app I've just checked says I'm fertile but only been using it a month but I think it's accurate as I had egg white mucus yesterday

@Talcott2007 those symptoms sound v promising! I am going to be 12dpo tomorrow and have said that I will test tomorrow morning- it's been so so hard to hold off. I am so nervous about it. I've had no symptoms except pretty intense cramping that woke me up on the morning of 9dpo. I've not had cramping a week before my af before so holding onto that a bit. Boobs feel a tiny bit tender but that's normal for me 5 days before af starts.

@Flossie333 you’ve done so well to not test! Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

I forgot to take the OPKs to my parents after Christmas and haven’t started since we got home but just been trying to DTD every other day. Getting AF type cramps and backache now and it’s due in 7th so we’ll see!

Saw the gp this morning said just take the folic acid now and I didn't need to take it for a month beforehand got a big two lines on an ovulation stick today??

@MrsERH I'm due on 7th too! Well done for dtd every other day- that's tricky over Christmas haha 😂

Well I was away for Christmas and there wasn't a pharmacy close by so it was easier not to (that's the only reason ha). I'm going to buy a FRER now to use in the morning, it's going to be impossible to wait until tomorrow morning though...

@MrsERH I woke up at 3 am desperate for a pee and so fumbled around with a test- couldn't quite believe it to be honest...! Apart from the weird cramping I've had no symptoms whatsoever. I was so sure the other months I've been TTC I felt more 'pregnant'. Feeling very cautiously happy 😊. Crossing everything that this is your month too xxxxx

Your OH yet? Unfortunately I’m getting normal AF symptoms I think. Time will tell

@MrsERH thank you! yep I woke him up and then neither of us went back to sleep haha. I've having quite intense cramps today which makes me nervous but trying to be positive about it and hope it's normal. Crossing fingers that your af doesn't turn up, but if she does, here's to an October baby! ❤️

How are we all doing ladies? AF due tomorrow but have a suspicion it will be late but a BFN (which just means by cycles are getting longer ahrhrh)

@Flossie333 - wish I had your guts to have tested early! Might do one in the morning if no sign of AF

@MrsERH heya 👋🏼- have you got any symptoms at all? You've done so well not to test. Maybe test tomorrow morning to put your mind at ease? It's gut wrenching but I think will enable you to move forward whatever the outcome xxxxxxx

@Flossie333 yeah I think I will if AF doesn't turn up tonight. I've got really bad lower back pain and sore boobs. Sore boobs pretty common for me before AF and not sure if I've pulled my back moving a washing machine about (don't ask haha)

On the back end of the horrendous cold I had over Christmas but apart from that I feel fine.

How are you feeling?

AF has made an appearance today - so much for all the wild symptoms this month! Good luck for those still waiting to test!

@MrsERH really crossing everything for you! It's so cruel how symptoms are the same as pms. Hope your back is ok!! I'm all ok- trying not to get ahead of myself as I am having very period like cramps a lot and due tomorrow - just hoping it sticks Xxx
