Hi ladiessss.

I thought about having some time away from MN but you get so much support here (and I need it at the moment!) so I thought I'd start a new thread for all those who are due to test end December/NY time.

Short LP (boo)
Chemical in October
AF due 30th December

So I had my implant out a few months ago, since then my cycles have been VERY short but regular (23-24 days). My luteal phase is very short 8-9 days which I think is what causing me issues. I conceived very quickly 3 years ago with typical 28-29 day cycles and I didn't track a thing (only CM). Last month got my positive OPK CD14. I'm not sure if I am going to track ovulation this month...

AF due 30th based on a 25 day cycle

Possibly had a chemical in October. Line was so faint it could have been an evap though. Found out around the same time that I had hyperthyroidism. It’s being treated but it’s likely to affect my fertility.
Cd 9 today and a small amount of fertile mucus so I will hopefully ovulate in the next few days. If I ovulate. Af due 4th January.

Iv not been temping as technically iv only actually ovulated 2, possibly 3 times in the past 14 months and it just seemed like such hard work. I just keep an eye on CM and check cervix positioning every now and again ( if im being honest, I really dont know what I'm checking for despite reading up about it haha. It always feels the same!)

But please let me know how you find temping and how you get on. Maybe you can sway me! I just find poas and checking for ovulation time consuming enough in the morning when I'm half asleep and thats without checking temp too hehe. X

Best of luck @LockThatFridge. Are you pretty regular or are you using opk? Its a blessing that you've been diagnosed with U/A thyroid now rather then finding out your already expecting or having it left undiagnosed. Hopefully your be under an amazing Dr/ consultant who can help and plan your care accordingly if they know your already ttc x x x

@Flossie333 Yeah I have for a few months but I’m terrible at remembering to do it at the weekend (actually I just need the lie in!)
Have a busy weekend this weekend which is before ovulation so hopefully will be fairly accurate. We’ll see 🤷🏻‍♀️

@Snowberry4 I will do! It's so strange what we will do when TTC - I have always found it impossible to wake up in the mornings, but now my body is naturally waking me up at 6 every morning when I temp 😂 bizarre. Really hoping to see a temperature rise this week as I've read that that proves you have ovulated 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 xxxxx

@MrsERH oooo we are close in our cycles I think. How long is yours generally? My app says I should ovulate on Sunday and I'm currently on day 15 of my cycle. Have you seen a clear temp jump in the past few months? Xxxxx

@Flossie333 - ooo yes we are super similar! I'm on CD 14 and my app is saying due to ovulate on Monday. My cycles are between 33-34 days at the moment but did have one a couple of months ago that was 25 days !!
I've seen some spikes but I'm not fully convinced that wasn't due to some hangovers haha (my app seems to show two confirmed spikes out of last 3 months). I've not had a hangover this month so hoping the temping is a bit more accurate.
Also doing clear blue OPK this month and so far just a solid circle.

Would be amazing to have a September baby. Just glad that Christmas for the TWW distraction!

@Snowberry4 I’m usually reasonably regular. My cycles have been 28 days recently but very light periods which worries me with implantation.
I’m cd 11 today and I have absolutely loads of ewcm and a bit of cramping. I’m assuming that means ovulation is imminent. I will be dragging Dh upstairs tonight
It concerns me that it’s early in the cycle. I read that if eggs are released too early then they’re not mature enough. If my body holds off until tomorrow it will be cd 12 though and I think that’s reasonably ok. My main problem is going to be with implantation which apparently is an issue with thyroid problems. Just got to hope my medication levels are right (it’s not an exact science).

@MrsERH yes we are the same! Mine have averaged 33-34 over the last year (I came off the pill in jan to try to regulate my cycle before TTC) except I had one cycle in June which went on for 49 days 🤔🥴. I've also not had a hangover this month and so am hoping my temps are all accurate. I've got a work Christmas party this evening which is going to be tricky to navigate. Fingers crossed we both see temp spikes! I have a house full of family this weekend which is going to be interesting....😬 xxxxx

@Flossie333 good luck. Luckily my work is rubbish so we only go out for a non drinking lunch and I’m performing in a concert on Saturday so will be too shattered to drink much after that.
Starting to DTD every other day as of last night so that will be Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Ovulation due for Monday so should we go for it then as well?

I think I am @notetaker. Pretty sure I ovulated yesterday. Dtd on Sunday and yesterday so hopefully that covered it. I don’t hold out a lot of hope but we’ll see. Really glad it’s Christmas so it will distract me from thinking about it for a few days.

Hi ladies can I join? Currently on cycle 8, using the clear blue digital OPT at the moment. For the last cycles I’ve been using cheapies from eBay but thought I’d change it up a bit. Should be ovulating this weekend so hopefully will get a BFP for the new year. I’ve been tracking my cycle for two years now without the use of hormonal contraceptives and thought I’d get pregnant as soon as we started trying. How naive of me!

Im in the 2ww😀. Got my static smiley last night. Dtd sunday tuesday and today so fingers crossed. Thats me done for this month. Ive told DH no sticks next month cos i think the pressure is too much. Although ill do them on the sly. I kind of know my ovulation day is between day 16 and 18 xx

@Sophj19 - well my app says I'm due to ovulate on Monday but I had another circle today (no smiley). However I'm still planning to DTD every other day from now, really until AF arrives just to cover all bases. Plan this week to the DTD on Wednesday (done haha), tonight, Sunday, Christmas Eve and maybe a morning Christmas Day to mix it up

Also CM is still dry so going to try and go on that a bit this month as well as I've never really taken much notice

@notetaker - hope you're finding ways to distract yourself during the TWW

@LockThatFridge @MrsERH well... I had ovulation pains on Sunday/Monday so I thought I ovulated then, but this morning I got a pretty strong line on the opk (still using them to double check as I ovulated late last month). So I not really sure now!
Just going to carry on DTD as much as we can to cover all bases - poor DH is working 7 days straight this week but somehow he's still finding the energy!

@MrsERH I find cm quite a reliable indicator. I get the most 1-2 days before ov based on observations for the last few months. Mine dries up straight after ovulation.
I thought I had ovulated on Wednesday because of light cramping but I’m fairly sure it was this morning now. I had a lot more ecwm yesterday and a bit this morning plus low down pain on my left hand side and bad stomach cramps which passed after about an hour. Hopefully dtd on Wednesday night would have covered that. Means I ovulated cd 13. Definitely in the tww now.

@notetaker early ovulation cramps fooled me this month too. I think what’s happening for me is that I get cramping a couple of days before and then actual pain when the egg’s released.

Thanks @LockThatFridge - I will monitor more closely this month. Just going to keep baby dancing until we get there. Poor husband haha

@LockThatFridge Yeah I think that's what's happening with me too. So glad I came on here for some support this month, it really is helpful to compare experiences!

Think I've been having ovulation pains this morning (never really noticed them before!) So will be pouncing on DH this evening! App says I'm not due to O until 23rd but after the CP last cycle I'm guessing things could be out of sync! So glad that we are here there and everywhere over Xmas and New Year so hoping that the 2WW whenever is starts won't feel as long as usual!

How is everyone's Xmas prep going? - I'm procrastinating on MN to avoid packing the cases to head to ILS at the weekend!
