Hi girls! I know we wanted to start a thread for the ones who didn't get their BFP this month.

Anyone else welcome to join us on our conception journey and looking to test around 2nd week in December.

AF due around 9th September

This is my 1st month using OPKs - anyone got any advice on when to start testing?

I found my cervix I think but not sure if it’s high or low.. I mean how low does it usually go lol.. I done it sitting on the toilet.. it had mucus around it and felt quite firm? Freaked me out a little though x

Although it could of been soft as not sure how it meant to feel? Xx

@katie1109 😂😂😂 it's all going off!! Well I've been checking my cervix for a few months now so I have a pattern I know I can follow. For example, my cervix normally comes down lower in a few days and is really hard so I know I haven't conceived. But you won't know the first month or so because you don't know what's normal for you any given month yet.

Well girls basically this book says tracking your temperature for ovulation is crap because most of the time you don't get the barely noticeable rise in temperature and if you do it's too late because the egg has been released. It says you should track your temperature and if it has been elevated for 18 days or more it means your pregnant! It also says the last day of your ewcm is your most fertile and the best way to track when to dtd is by ewcm! It says if you haven't gotten pregnant by tracking (dtd every time you see ewcm) in 4-6 cycles you shouldn't wait to get checked as there is obviously an issue somewhere with the man or woman that is.

You lot are hilarious.....glad I've been following for a while otherwise would have thought you'd all lost it!

Well I'm out this month....after promising myself I wouldn't test early, I did 2 days before AF due and BFN. Felt ok about it as didn't feel out of the game until AF arrived which was today....half expecting it so the blow not too hard. Plus me and DH had a night away on Sunday, didn't realise how much we needed it until we were there and actually spent some quality time together. Just lovely.

Now going into month 5 of TTC. DH suggested I book a Drs appointment as he hates to see me getting so worked up and occasionally sad about it all so booked in for the 17th. May say we've been trying slightly longer but I'm also a midwife so can be hard at times seeing so many pregnant people and new babies all the time. Even if they just get the ball rolling on maybe bloods or something in January (as assume you need them at certain times in your cycle).

I really have my fingers crossed for you all and looking forward to some BFPs! Xx

I couldn’t find my cervix... or I did and I don’t know. Who knows haha. Defo lots of cm - you’d think I’d been on a date with Tom Hardy. Mix of watery and milky white. Not sure if that’s promising or not.

@ellsbells112 that’s interesting on the temp. I noticed a good drop the day before I think I ovulated, I think it looked more obvious in Fahrenheit as that’s what one of my apps uses

@MrsA2019 welcome to the mad house! Sorry on the BFN. Doctors sounds a good idea even to put your mind at ease. Must be hard with your job - you won’t be able to escape babies

Hahahaha this is cracking me up. I have no fricking idea about this cervix business either and how to tell what CM is right or wrong. When they say egg whites is this egg whites cooked or when you first crack an egg??

Well I tell you guys what mate after reading that I told my partner he best get checked!! I've been bloody BDING every time I see ewcm!!! Haha but every other month I have cycles where I have no ewcm so fuuuuuuuck knows. I'm totally done with this crap honestly 🤣
I've bought a thermometer and I'm going to do every thing possible! Temps opks and bloody fingerings myself to see if I have ewcm!!!! 🤣🤣

My DH husband has just asked what I’m in hysterics laughing about. He’s now horrified.

@Quiffy I daren't tell my OH anything. He already thinks I'm weird.

He also has no idea about how female body parts function and would probably be quite jealous he wasn't witness to my fingering myself in the works loos.

Every night my DH whinges about taking his Pregnacare Conception vitamin as “it tastes weird” and “why do boys need these”. Tonight he chimes up with “I’m not taking it and you can’t make me”. So I nipped him. Worked a charm. He’s laughing but I think he’s realises you don’t mess with a woman TTC 🤪🤪

@quiffy men moan too much! I'm taking like 100 vitamins lol and he forgets to take 2 🙄 they're just crap at this stuff!

My OH is taking zinc and folic acid. When I asked him why he's taking lady vitamins he said it's to help with hair loss. And said it in a way like I was totally stupid for not knowing. Yeah okay babes.

@Beau2019 haha no don't feel mean it is a fair point. I just get confused between the "creamy white" and the "egg white" and what bloody consistency is should be and when. I'd be pretty worried too if I had hard boiled egg whites coming out me every morning hahahahaha

@Symptomspotter86 so the egg white stuff starts a few days before ovulation. Some women only get it a day or 2 others get it for 4-5 days. Then it stops once you've ovulated. Some women don't notice it at all. I get shit loads of the stuff 😂 then you usually go a little dryer like white creamy after ovulation. Google image search cervical mucus during cycle and it explains all

@MrsA2019 sorry to hear this month hasn't worked for you :( I think if you do have bloods taken they do it quite early on so you might end up waiting another month but that would take you the 6 months. Hopefully you won't end up needing them :)

You lot have kept me thoroughly entertained today, thank you! I've had a little bit of spotting today at 6/7DPO (I got my static on Wed am last week) so I'm trying not to get too excited at the possibility of implantation bleeding but I am deep down very excited. Now my plan of testing on Monday might be brought forward.... but only if the FRERs arrive and they're due between Fri and Mon.
