Two week wait...again

BabyB19 · 22/10/2019 15:28

Hi mums/mumstobe, I’m currently in the two week wait after having a MMC (missed miscarriage) in June at 12 weeks. After a 10 week bleed I have settled into what seems to be a normal cycle again appx27/28 days. I’m saying I’m in the two week wait but I’m unsure if I’ve even OV. Anyone want to keep me company as I’m going out of my mind and feel like I’m boring the real people in my life 🤦🏽‍♀️

Hang in there @Tbug I think we see people who get caught first time and put so much pressure on wanting that for ourselves but it's just not real life is it. We all need to just practice a little patience don't we maybe. We will be here to support eachother regardless. I hope you enjoy your chocolate and feel better soon ❤️
You're welcome @Jonesbabynumber1 we need to pick eachother up on our down days don't we as we will all have them.

I'm 31 and from the Wirral btw everyone, it's crazy how we know the most personal details about eachother and not a lot else isn't it 🤔🤣

That’s so true @BabyB19 I’m 29 and from Newport Wales. I was speaking to my mum for first time about TTC yesterday and with 4 girls 2 years apart expect the last I thought she found it easy to catch but she said her first took longer than she thought it would and she was 24. I wish more people would talk about their journey through pregnancy including conceiving as I find it helps knowing everyone is different

Tbug · 30/10/2019 18:50

I'm from Dorset and 24 🥰😘

BabyB19 · 30/10/2019 19:24

I think more people struggle than we realise don't they 🙁 I don't know what happened when I seen that bfn this morning something just clicked in my head and I thought what the hell am I doing to myself. People have babies well into their 40's there's plenty of time yet, especially for you @Tbug I think you're the baby of the group! We'll be cursing ourselves when we haven't slept for 6 months and it takes 3 hours just to leave the house 🤣🤣🤣

So true, I am just so impatient it’s unreal. I’m 26 from Surrey xx

SallyCinnamon3009 · 30/10/2019 19:49

Week think I'm the eldest here just turned 36!

FRER arrived this morning and really trying hard to resist the urge to test! I'm gonna try hold out until Friday! Defo wasn't like this with DS just came off the pill and hoped for the best. If it's BFN this month next month I am deleting all apps and staying away from OPKs.

It's a funny place Mumsnet I know the most personal information about people but don't know their names 😂😂

SallyCinnamon3009 · 30/10/2019 19:49

*eeek not week 😂😂

BabyB19 · 30/10/2019 20:09

It has made me laugh @SallyCinnamon3009 knowing about everything down to peoples discharge but don't even know what we're all called hahah! 36 is nothing these days is it, we've all still got time yet! We're saying this but you know we'll be back resting like lunatics in a couple of weeks 🙄🤣🤦🏽‍♀️

25 and from Sussex!

At least we all have each other to keep ourselfs sane as it can sometimes feel a bit of a lonely experience when others don't know your TTC!

Let's hope there's some good news over the next coming weeks! X

BabyB19 · 30/10/2019 20:35

Let's hope so @Gee1235 I think there's only @siaa with a positive at the minute isn't there? X

Lovely to see a real mix of ages shows age is just a number when it comes to TTC. Just been on a ghost tour was lovely not think about TTC for a few hours. How you feeling @BabyB19 and @Tbug. Strange question how does calculating ovulation work now I’ve had a shorter cycle?

SallyCinnamon3009 · 31/10/2019 07:17

Just caved and did a FRER - pure white and no sign of a line so looks like I am out. At least I can get pissed at the wedding on Saturday now and not have to worry

BabyB19 · 31/10/2019 07:37

I'm sorry @SallyCinnamon3009 but always a silver lining you can enjoy yourself guilt free!
I was thinking the same @Jonesbabynumber1 I'm not going to think about it this month though I've decided I'm just going to have loads of sex and not think about dates and see what happens, it worked for us the first time, I didn't have a clue I just came off the pill and bonked away and was pregnant in a couple of weeks. I think it might be the stress that's stopping it so I'm relaxing now ❤️

My best friend midwife said every 2-3 days sex cos too much can make the sperm not as powerful 🙊

cassidy001 · 31/10/2019 08:36

I'm.at 7dpo atm and feeling like it's not my month :( I've pretty much lost hope. I have been mildly cranky the last few days. Gassy, Moody, slightly sore boobs but that all normal before af anyway. Lightheaded and sleepy and hungry all the time, but that could be me being greedy hehe. I had a bfn this morning so I've been a bit down. I know it's early to test but I read so many women get a strong line at 8dpo, and they have excruciating pains in the uterus and breasts so much so that some say they collapse while shopping. None of this has happened to me :( I'm looking hope already :(

BabyB19 · 31/10/2019 09:03

@Tbug that's pretty much what we do anyway so I'm going to just be 'normal' this month and see what happens!
@cassidy001 try not to worry too much about what other people say because everyone is completely different. Your story will be different to anyone else's, try to hang In There a few more days before you start testing to avoid disappointment xx

SallyCinnamon3009 · 31/10/2019 10:04

@cassidy001 with my DS the first symptom was no AF. So don't panic if no symptoms!

I'm defo relaxing next month and trying to not give it any thought (so much easier said then done). I'm also ordering some Evening Primrose oil. I've felt like shite all week so going to see if it helps with PMS next month. Thank You @BabyB19 very much looking forward to a wine or 5 on Saturday, was stressing about how I was going to get around not drinking so at least that worries gone too. Fingers crossed for everyone else xx

ceebee21 · 31/10/2019 10:47

@SallyCinnamon3009 you’re in the same boat as me....wedding tomorrow. When is AF due for you? X

SallyCinnamon3009 · 31/10/2019 11:41

@ceebee21 she's due on Monday. But I've a feeling she's gonna show up early 😂 probs on Saturday in the middle of the wedding 😂

BabyB19 · 31/10/2019 17:27

How are we all doing today ladies? I can honestly say I feel so much better today for not peeing on anything this morning! I'm due today or tomorrow but I've had a bit of brownish discharge and nothing else so far, I'm assuming she will turn up tomorrow though. I feel so much more relaxed I don't know what happened over night 🤷🏽‍♀️

@BabyB19 currently laid on the sofa with my OH fighting off a cold but on my days off from work and feeling a lot more positive than yesterday!

Sometimes it does you the world of good to have a day off from poas or opking, let's hope the positivity continues 🤞🏽 x

Jonesbabynumber1 · 31/10/2019 18:13

@BabyB19 glad your feeling better. I agree I actually slept all night without waking up in the middle Of night thinking about peeing on a stick. Mind bit of a blow today seems to be a day for people announcing pregnancy’s with the use of pumpkins. Trying not to be be a grouch and happily answering the door to tick or treaters. Looking forward to a weekend enjoying alcohol without any guilt. My new thermometer arrived today going to give up on OPKs and try that as curious as to why my period came early. My mum said she didn’t even need pregnancy test as her temp just stayed high so may reduce the need for POS. My husband asked when I plan on jumping on him so eager to start again lol. Friday tomorrow What’s your plans for weekend. How is everyone else.

BabyB19 · 31/10/2019 18:16

This cold has got us two this week as well @Gee1235 hope it doesn't linger for you!
I might try temping next month if nothing happens this month.
I told my partner I'm not pregnant this month so that next month we should try and aim for every other day ish having sex and he suggested every day to be sure, so it's going to be a busy month for me by the sound of it 🤣🤷🏽‍♀️
