Two week wait...again

BabyB19 · 22/10/2019 15:28

Hi mums/mumstobe, I’m currently in the two week wait after having a MMC (missed miscarriage) in June at 12 weeks. After a 10 week bleed I have settled into what seems to be a normal cycle again appx27/28 days. I’m saying I’m in the two week wait but I’m unsure if I’ve even OV. Anyone want to keep me company as I’m going out of my mind and feel like I’m boring the real people in my life 🤦🏽‍♀️

Well I’ve had no more bleeding since spotting but plenty of dull aches almost constant which is normally like me but reading posts lots of people said cramps before bfp. So confusing when AF symptoms are so similar. Two days more before AF

SallyCinnamon3009 · 29/10/2019 20:12

Fingers crossed for you @Jonesbabynumber1 x

BabyB19 · 29/10/2019 20:14

@Jonesbabynumber1 I think we're pretty much neck and neck I am exactly the same, I feel very premenstrual, I've got a constant dull ache, keep going the loo thinking I will have come on but nope, I've got a horrible taste in my mouth and my lower back is killing, all symptoms of both PG and AF? So confusing 🤷🏽‍♀️

Wow @BabyB19 that’s scary how similar we are dull ache and back ache, I’ve also got a bit of a sore throat but so glad we’re experiencing the same. Have you seen the thread that lots of people experienced cramps that made me feel a little more positive. I’m excited and nervous all at same time but trying not to get too hopeful as every time I go to toilet I expect AF. I haven’t had any BFg lines on the IC. I’ll use IC again tomorrow and keep other for days of AF if it doesn’t come. I’ve only used 3 tests which compared to last month is a vast improvement. I haven’t told DH cause don’t want to get his hopes up

BabyB19 · 29/10/2019 20:55

I haven't told mine either, I don't want him to be let down if AF comes it's bad enough one of us feeling down about it. I haven't really looked at other threads with people having dull aches I'll have a look for some. I've been a maniac this month so if it's not my month I'm going to put it out of my mind next month and go with the flow...but I recall saying that last month too 🤔🤣

For anyone hat asked about my sis she got brilliant results today at the specialist, she is ovulating as and when she should be and all her levels are as they should be ☺️ the only down side is at the hospital they segregated people into grey or blue seats for pregnant or not pregnant which I think is diabolical!

Don’t think I’ll ever be that relaxed it’s too important not that it’s not important to other people it’s just my main focus so have plenty of energy and time to give to TTC which i know isn’t helpful sometimes as relaxing is bound to help. I put it off for so long career house marriage and now that’s all in place I’m just ready and inpatient lol. Fantastic news about your sister fingers crossed for positives news To keep coming. Yes that is not helpful and just degrading separate waiting rooms for dignity but not coloured chairs I bet it was a man who thought of that.

siaa · 30/10/2019 06:03

@Jonesbabynumber1 I am feeling okay, I have been continuing with tests which have been getting darker and a digital CB said 2-3 weeks so I've got my reassurance scan booked in for next Thursday. I am super nervous as I've got to this point before and they've seen nothing 😫 how are you?

@BabyB19 I can see a faint line definitely 😊 exciting times, fingers crossed for you!! Let us know how you get on with the test today. That's great news for your sister but hospitals can be so insensitive sometimes can't they. I hate the way mine has the people going through problems walking in and out the same door as those excitedly in labour or coming out with a baby in their arms!!

Jonesbabynumber1 · 30/10/2019 06:51

@siaa great to hear your getting the positives and I think it’s a great idea to do the reassurance scan. Well I didn’t need to test this morning as the witch has arrived a day early. So into the next cycle which will be officially cycle number 3. I’m going to try the temperature taking as my mum said this worked for her

Tbug · 30/10/2019 07:56

Oh no :( stupid AF, think mine is coming too :(

BabyB19 · 30/10/2019 07:57

Morning ladies @siaa that's amazing news I'm so glad! At least we have some good news in the group 🥰
@Jonesbabynumber1 I think I'm following you, she's not arrived yet but I've just done another FRER and there's a lighter than yesterday line so I don't know if they're evap lines or if it's a CP maybe but I don't think it's been a success this month, just want my period now so I can crack on again. Sorry that you're out for the month but please stick around x

Tbug · 30/10/2019 08:03

Yeah congratulations @siaa ❤️❤️🥰 defo don't think I'm gunna use OPKs again this month, did you say you were going too @BabyB19? I found the Femometer ones of Amazon along with their app were amazing, so accurate x

Jonesbabynumber1 · 30/10/2019 08:17

Thanks everyone, yes it’s relief that it’s finally here as I can relax I've got A Busy few ahead so that’s good keep my mind of it and plan for a few glasses of wine on the weekend. @tbug stay positive @BabyB19 maybe give the tests a rest if you can I know it’s hard but it’s so disheartening trying to work out what’s a line and what’s not a line. I’m not going anywhere girls praying for baby dust for you all. Glad you’ll be there ready for next TWW

BabyB19 · 30/10/2019 08:25

Thanks @Tbug @Jonesbabynumber1 I think I'm going to lay off now for a while. I want a month of not being a nutcase so I'm not buying any, I've got a few things coming up to do I'm going to enjoy my birthday period and then see what's happened in the meantime ☺️ x

OP posts:
Tbug · 30/10/2019 09:00

Yeah good plan :) I'm relaxing from now on, it'll happen when it happens! X

ceebee21 · 30/10/2019 09:20

Girls what do I do.... I am 8dpo I think and it is my sisters wedding on Friday... do I take an FRER now and if negative carry on with the drinking, positive obv not drink... or do I just not test, and wait until after the wedding.

Our families obviously know we are trying as we suffered a MMC and I had to have an ERPC, so wouldn't really be something I am hiding from them etc.

xx

Jonesbabynumber1 · 30/10/2019 09:38

Keep me posted @BabyB19 and @tbug stay positive. @ceebee would you be 10dpo on Friday maybe worth doing a test as I know people do find out early. I went to a party Saturday at 10 dpo negative bfp and still with that result I was conscious of not drinking too much so had wine but with a lot more lemonade so still felt I was drinking just not to the extent I normally would. Everyone is different some keep life as normal as possible until the bfp and some drink without to many units other don’t drink at all in the TWW. It has to something you decide but no wrong or right answer

BabyB19 · 30/10/2019 09:54

A midwife friend said it really doesn't affect the process for the first few weeks as it's not taking nutrients from you so I don't think it's an issue, I think it's more of a moral pressure we put on ourselves. Maybe try and put it out of your mind until Monday when you know an FRER would definitely pick up a pregnancy? X

OP posts:
ceebee21 · 30/10/2019 10:03

I think I may just take an FRER and if BFN just go and drink as normal... if AF then doesn't come next week I will take another one.

It's too difficult to hold off.... thought I would be able to do it x

Gee1235 · 30/10/2019 13:34

Does anyone ever get them days where you just feel like it's never gunna happen for you?! For no apparent reason I am feeling a bit sorry for myself today 😣

Tbug · 30/10/2019 14:06

Yeah im like that today, feel like I'm never gunna see a positive pregnancy test :( currently sat eating chocolate with a hot water bottle 😂

ceebee21 · 30/10/2019 14:59

Caved and took an FRER - BFN, but then guess that is expected at 8DPO... still not holding out a lot of hope!!!

xx

BabyB19 · 30/10/2019 15:06

I feel in a rather upbeat mood today, even though I got a bfn this morning so I'm almost certainly out this month, it's like a relief that I'm not having to think about it for a few weeks. We've arranged to have a date night on Friday where we will drink lots of lovely red wine and then have sex because we want to and not because I'm ovulating and I'm giving myself a bit of headspace away from it all. I hope I can pass on some positive vibes to you all, it will happen for us all, maybe not this month, but it will one day ❤️😘🤩🥰 xxx

Gee1235 · 30/10/2019 15:27

@Tbug some days just need to be spent that way think I'm going to do similar when I get in from work!

@BabyB19 although being out is so annoying at least then it does give you just a little while where you don't have to think about it all the time, deffo does feel like TTC consumes my life sometimes! Enjoy your date night Friday! 😘 xx

Jonesbabynumber1 · 30/10/2019 15:27

@BabyB19 just the words I needed to read. Its been a manic day in work and haven’t had time to think about it. Im so ready for a few wines and love the idea of sex without any pressure or and thoughts of hoping it works and questions like have i ovulated. Life is good and I’m positive it will happen to us all just in our own time. Thank you for all your support ❤️😘🤩
