TTC #2 September

Hello!

So after breastfeeding for 10months and not having a period since beau fell pregnant with my first baby (11.5months old) my period finally came back 16th Aug...11months after my daughter was born.
We had been trying for baby number 2 for a while but honestly it was so hard not knowing where I stood re ovulation and period. So I couldn't properly get into the swing of it lol.
Since my period returned, I have kept tracked using the ovia app, and we gave it a good jolly go all of last week when it said I should be ovulating (poor hubby didn't know what hit him hahahahah)!
I'm not expecting to be one of those lucky few (you know the ones who fall preg the first time!) but, thought it'd be nice to have some support from women going through the same journeys.

Ps, i don't know what all the abbreviations are in other threads I've seen so I may need help!

@whambam89 I'm also more relaxed this time, hopefully stays that way as the disappointment lingered too long last month. Really wanted to be a one hit wonder!

Welcome littlepea , how old is your little one? Did you try for another last year and then stop?

I don't have a plan with my OH really @allezallezallez just doing the deed whenever we both have the energy which isn't much

A twenty week wait I meant 2 week wait. Not able to keep up with these acronyms

@sprintfinish I think that was the thing last month, I felt like I'd get some kind of medal if it worked first time 😂🤦‍♀️

@vialarooski two week wait (I.e. the time from when you ovulate to when AF is due / you can test)

Morning all! Cd29 today I think I might test to put myself out of my misery, plus AF usually comes as soon as I do a test

No! Started getting cramps so thought AF was on its way but no sign yet!

I'm out now AF showed her face! How is everyone getting on? Do I have to leave the thread now?

I am torturing myself with symptom spotting as usual even though I know it’s really unlikely to happen this month. Feels too early for pms but I know it is. Am beginning to believe the thing of no symptoms being the best sign

@allezallezallez I feel a lot more relaxed this month because I think it's much more unlikely that it will have happened just because of timings etc but we will see! Fingers cross for you.

I was convinced I'd gone off my food last few days like previous pregnancy but was obviously just my cooking!

Hi guys - bit of a lurker, saying hi. TTC number 2 since Jan, with 2 suspected chemical pregnancies and 1 miscarriage since then. My son turns 3 in December. I fell pregnant first time with him so was totally expecting this would be the same, and that I'd be giving birth end of this year... idiot! Am 36 soon so need to get a move on.

Lucky with a 28 day regular cycle so am meant to have OV yesterday... if nothing happens this month I think I'll start the OV sticks (prob need to DTD a bit more too). My rule is never to test until 1-2 days post missed period to ensure I don't go too nuts.

Welcome Rosa hope this will be your month! Good that you have regular cycles too must make life easier.

I'm thinking about getting ovusense but not sure if it will work or not. Never got on with ovulation sticks the time I tried them.

I'm realllllly trying to not symptom spot because I don't want to become obsessed!!! Anyone else?!

Bought a bbt thermometer a few weeks ago but haven’t started tracking yet

So last time we ttc I was so obsessed, it was quite unhealthy mentally for me actually! I used OPKs, thermometer etc so this time just being quite casual and only have my period/fertility tracker app!

Had sex twice in this last fertile window...

Had cramping yesterday and lots of watery fluid this evening with a shooting pain! And
It's soooo hard to not over think isn't it!! I mean I'm still 10 days (ish) away from period turning up so it's so early!!! So I know I'm being ridiculous !!

I'm totally the same @littlepeaegg - I was super unhealthy in my approach the first half of this year, drives you slightly insane hence the restraint in testing. Feeling my boobs every 2 mins at the mo convinced they're bigger and I only ovulated 2/3 days ago. Need to distract myself !

@allezallezallez yep they worked, used the clearblue digital one that differentiates between 'high fertility' and 'peak fertility' (and then I subsequently had fertility testing at a clinic due to 6 months trying and not conceiving panic - and it backed up the predicted ovulation of the sticks). When I've conceived, it's always been sex 1 or 2 days prior to OV however (ie, when the stick flashes 'high fertility').

Need some help and advice. I missed my period for the month of September. It is now October 2nd and my period still haven't came. I didn't have any pregnancy tests so I took a ovulation test as a pregnancy test which came out positive twice. Every since my period been late I haven't had any symptoms of pregnancy at all. is that normal?? Im scared to take a pregnancy test because I don't want to get my hopes up if its not positive. Have anyone else experienced something like this before??

Hi @dezzytc1 I think the only way to confirm is to get a pregnancy test, but with a missed period and 2 positive ovulation tests it sounds good for you! Let us know how you go on 🤞
