TTC #2 September

Hello!

So after breastfeeding for 10months and not having a period since beau fell pregnant with my first baby (11.5months old) my period finally came back 16th Aug...11months after my daughter was born.
We had been trying for baby number 2 for a while but honestly it was so hard not knowing where I stood re ovulation and period. So I couldn't properly get into the swing of it lol.
Since my period returned, I have kept tracked using the ovia app, and we gave it a good jolly go all of last week when it said I should be ovulating (poor hubby didn't know what hit him hahahahah)!
I'm not expecting to be one of those lucky few (you know the ones who fall preg the first time!) but, thought it'd be nice to have some support from women going through the same journeys.

Ps, i don't know what all the abbreviations are in other threads I've seen so I may need help!

I see a line whambam ! Are you going to do another test today?

@wrigleys123 I need to go and buy a more expensive one because apparently these are known for false positives but I've also heard people say that the line would probably not be that clear if it was a false positive 🤷‍♀️

FRER is a BFN so god knows what's going on 🤷‍♀️

@whambam89 how frustrating that your cycles are acting up. That line looked strong aswell, what brand is it? Do you have any symptoms?

I'm out for this month, AF arrived on Sunday. It's so frustrating but not as down about it this month thankfully. I'm ordering some pre seed to see if that'll help.

@sprintfinish the brand was freedom. I actually said to OH last week that if I didn't know better I would say I'm pregnant, I've been quite nauseous and very tired but a FRER should definitely show up by now so I'm obviously not x

Late period.... no idea when I ovulated but had sex in fertile period. Can anyone see this line ?

I was due af at weekend. Usually have a 29/30day cycle and now day 33.

BFN yesterday at dr on her test.

I did one this morning and don't think I saw anything so I have just done one again and it's similar but I can see it better!

@littlepeaegg you need to get one of those "pregnant" "not pregnant" sticks just to put your mind at rest! That would drive me crazy! I can see a faint line but I have a tendency to see things I want to see, fingers crossed for you 😘

I had an overwhelming taste of metallic in my mouth today whilst shopping in asda. It was so weird, it was like I'd literally been sucking the trolley bars 😆 however I've had a swollen gum above my front/side tooth so assuming it came from that. It was so strong I had to have a polo to get rid of the taste 😖

Not pregnant though now. Just because the last time I had sex was 28th and 29th sept! I have no idea on ovulation though. But from the last two times I had sex, I'm sure I'd have a bfp now xx

My blood test was negative.

But I had brown spotting last night.

Nothing today!!

What is going on.

Could be a chemical pregnancy littlepea? Hope you are alright anyhow, it's so frustrating being stuck in limbo!

Cycle #3 coming up, fertile window starts this week. I've bought my preseed and I'm ready to go 😁

Can anyone tell me what SMEG involves as I keep seeing it mentioned in posts? I neeeed to know!

I'm in the one week wait camp now ha! Think I'm out as got AF symptoms already.

I can't remember who has a BFP and who doesn't so sorry if I can't keep up!

@sprintfinish I think it is have sex every other day from CD8 until you get a positive OPK and then once more. So just loads of sex basically haha. I tried it this month but then got ill so failed massively!

@vialarooski what cd are you on now?

@Wrigleys123 what is CD? God I'm so bad at these abbreviations! Cycle day? I'm due AF tomorrow and I'm already feeling like I've got the period cramps. I knew It wasn't gonna be a successful cycle this month as we only DTD twice in our fertile window and I always discount the first "session"! It's ok though, I've got my hubby's bday in a couple weeks and I've organised a big night out with some friends for it so I'm gonna enjoy that and get cracking in the next cycle!

@vialarooski think I'm in the tww now but I'm also not 100% as I had that weird mid cycle bleed and have had ovulation symptoms the last couple of days so who knows! Think I'm out this cycle just because of the uncertainty of when I actually ovulated. So on to cycle 4 😴

I feel like it's never going to happen but at the same time we haven't really been giving it our best shot

@sprintfinish it's every other day in your fertile window then every day for 3 days once you get a positive opk I think ... might try it next month as we're getting too close to having another December baby for my liking 😂

What's preseed and how does it work?

I avoid OPK as I've never had a positive result from one and they just demotivate me. So I'll just go with as much DTD as we can muster around my suspected ovulation date.

Preseed is fertility friendly lubricant. Amusingly on the box it says compatible with condoms 😂 around £11 on Amazon and very handy for romantic TTC so we have to do it tonight quickies 😜

My expectations are confirmed, AF arrived this morning. Roll on the next cycle, I'm on my 3rd month of trying. But feels like so much longer 😔 I'm trying to keep positive though. It WILL happen, just not this month clearly.
How long has everyone else been trying?

@vialarooski sorry to hear AF got you, although it sounds like you were expecting it at least! Have been trying for a year now, if it doesn't happen this month then going to have some further tests I think!

@Vialarooski it's such a disappointment isn't it? This is my 3rd month too and also feels like forever! I somehow thought it would happen straight away 2nd time round.
