@Makingawish oh dear! You’re just going to be a massive panic ball until baby arrives! I can imagine you’re in that ‘everything in the world feels fantastic’ stage 🤗🤗 it’s such a good feeling. I know you’re feeling like it’s all too good to be true at the moment but it’s happening so try to enjoy every minute of it. The ups and the downs because pregnancy goes so quickly and it’s the most amazing feeling as a woman. I wish I could go back and tell myself to enjoy it all! I can’t do that so I’m telling you 😂😂
Have your moment, take advantage of it and try not too worry, you will know if something is wrong so don’t panic if you don’t need to ❤️

I have been following this thread and SMEP for the last two cycles and i just wanted to boost the feeling of positivity of SMEP. I apologise for not being 'active' on the threads, sometimes MN causes me to spiral but i wanted to thank you all for being so inspiring and for the amazing encouragement and positivity.

Last month - SMEP for the first time (2nd Cycle trying), followed to a T. BFP at 10DPO, but wasn't meant to be and was a chemical.
This month - SMEP 2nd time (3rd Cycle), followed to a T. BFP today at 12 DPO.

SMEP really does work! Even if this one doesn't stick (I had an ectopic in April and lost a tube and the chemical last month makes me v cautious) I am super positive and big fan of SMEP as it really does work and will continue to follow the plan.

I guess i just wanted to say a) thank you and b) keep it up ladies! I think SMEP can be a bit of a slog at times but i think its a wonderful way to gain just a little bit of control over something completely left to fate and you lovely ladies have helped me keep my head in the game and stick with it.

@TizzyTess morning and congratulations on your BFP! The ladies on here certainly are very supportive p.s I think I found the best bunch around 😉
Can I ask? Was you doing anything else alongside SMEP preseed, vitamins? And how long were you ttc.
I am sorry to hear about your first BFP but I am glad you got your positive in the end.
I’m not feeling all that hopeful this cycle if I’m honest and I followed it to a t too (one for luck tonight) I think it works for some and not for others.
Can I ask as well, did you have any diagnosed fertility problems or was it just a case of not sticking?

Glad to hear there is on this thread alone at least 4 (is it now) BFPs I suppose the evidence speaks for it self ❤️

A cautious thank you for the congratulations. Haven't told DH, so its currently our* little secret!

To be honest, I have just followed SMEP and based it around my Flo app. I work really long hours and travel all over the country so temping won't work for me, so have been tracking on Flo and DTD according the that.
DTD CD 8, every other day, DTD 3 days in a row CD14-16, then rest and one for luck (I have a 28-29 cycle length). Thats all we've done but i have caught 2 months running, so it must be lining up with OV.
I have also been tracking my RHR with my FitBit and i seem to have a huge dip the day before predicted OV day which has lined up each cycle so far.
I have been taking superdrug folic acid and vit D since January when I came off the pill in preparation to TTC this year.

I don't have any symptoms or signs and haven't in the TWW at all, but then I didn't back in March nor last month so i can't really symptom spot. I only tested today because i am off to london for the weekend, and was wondering if i could have a few too many drinks :D

Try to stay hopeful, the positive stories of SMEP definitely outweigh the negative from what i have been reading and seeing online. And the confidence in knowing you have done everything you can each cycle i think is just the best reassurance. And this certainly makes me positive that our time will come, the pg will stick (in the right place!) and we will get our little'n.

So my positivity has completely gone down the pan.... so eager to start smep yesterday (CD8) and DP came home with a huge minging cold. He was still up for it of course (I told him about smep by the way) but I couldn’t let him infest me with all those germs 🙈.

Have I ruined my chances? 😢

@TizzyTess your secret is safe with us.
You seem to be the same routine as me in terms of following the app (Ovia) and using folic acid and Agnus Castus. I just don’t feel too hopeful.
But thank you for sharing your story it gives me some hope 😊

@Carley321 I’m feeling ok. My good luck dtd is today but I just don’t feel like I caught this month 😭 I can’t explain it something is just telling me it’s not my month.

I don’t think you’ve ruined your chances just try and start from today. You haven’t ovulated yet so you’re still in with a chance 🤞

Can i join you. I've been lurking on your previous thread for a while and have decided to do SMEP this cycle. We have been TTC for over a year now but only properly trying for the past 3 months. I'm on Cycle day 7 today so preparing to DTD tomorrow, however, I am away tomorrow night and was wondering would be ok to DTD in the morning and then the other days DTD in the evening? Does it matter what time of the day it is? Thats probably a stupid question!!

I've just ordered some Preseed after hearing about it from all of you, i doubt it will be here before tomorrow but hopefully Monday.

Congrats to you all who have had a BFP. Such exciting times ahead.

@DGirl35 hey course you can join I’m pleased our threads are being noticed in a positive light!

Tbh I don’t think it matters day or night. In the SMEP plan she says you can do a quickie during your lunch break so from that I took it as aslong as you’re dtd! Makes me doubt myself though because sometimes on our days we dtd just after midnight 🤔

Also I think the preseed will be better used on your ovulation days anyway, I’m sure that the every other day build up is just to keep sperm healthy and fresh, I could be wrong!

@AllHopeAndNoResults Yes, i've been tracking using OPK's. I ordered a new batch last week and they came today so i'm all set to start on CD 10. I find sometimes I don't get a positive result at all but i've been only POAS in the morning time. This cycle i'm going to do it twice a day and hopefully i'll get a strong positive. What cycle day are you on?

What app do you guys use to upload the pics of ovulation sticks?

Sorry to dampen the positivity, but my test was fainter this morning. My husband and I got an awful shock. I honestly woke up happy as my temp rose again. The doctor agreed that it looks like it's a chemical pregnancy. She took a blood test to check for hcg levels and I will have my results tomorrow.

@AllHopeAndNoResults aw you are not out until AF shows up. I’m keeping everything 🤞 for you. And even if you are out.... which is a massive IF look at all the positives from smep, you have learnt a lot about your body this month and next month will be a new start and a new chance. We are all in it together. You aren’t alone and this is why this group is so good. You will get your bfp! We all will 🤞😊.

Yea I hope so, I had quite a dark OPK yesterday (the Internet cheapies) haven’t started Cb yet. But I doubt it meant anything at CD8? Not much CM yet either.

Hi @Carley321 It's a very long slog and very frustrating every month but we have to keep positive otherwise we'll drive ourselves mad. I'm just using ones I ordered off Ebay. Which ones do you use? I might try the CB ones next month if i don't get the BFP. They're just very expensive.

@DGirl35 yeah it’s best to test twice a day. I would have missed my surge this month if I didn’t. I’m 2dpo and I think a few of us use Premom to upload the OPKs.

@Carastarchild I’m so sorry to hear that I really feel for you. Fingers crossed everything will be fine 🤞

@carley321 I know and I do agree, I have learnt so much an since it is great to have all the support. I just feel a bit down because despite what the gp says I’m convinced I have bv so I’ve done another swab and waiting on the results. It’s kust annoying because it’s getting in the way of me being able to track discharge etc. It also gives me a few similar symptoms so I’m just getting really annoyed at my body. It plays tricks with me every month.
I think I’m just going to give up for a bit, it’s all too stressful and disheartening for me. I wish you all the best of luck and I really do hope you all get your BFPs. X

I use the Cheapie ones off amazon. I asked because the ones I have sais not to use FMU. So maybe it’s just that your not catching your peak if your only doing it then. This month I have bought CB to give a go. Hopefully they’ll do the trick lol. They are so expensive though. It’s a bloody expensive habit this ttc lol. We do have to stay positive 🤞.
