Hello ladies, thank you so much for all your kind messages it really touched me, I won’t tag individuals because you all said so many kind words and it resonated with me so much so that I had another chat with DP last night and we are going to see this through. We are going to give SMEP the recommended 3 months at least.
I can’t thank you ladies enough because without your kind words I’d still be a set no with continuing. However I won’t be posting again until AF arrives and I’m on cycle 2 of SMEP as the wait is horrendous enough as you all know.

It might be a bit dramatic 😂 but I’ve also messaged deanna Roy the lady that started the plan to see if she has any advice. She got back to my initial message so now just waiting for her reply and anything she says I will post here for you all to.

Btw for those of you who knew about my odour, I had thrush and it was caused by the preseed. Do with that as you will 😂

@Carastarchild I use the cheaply ones of amazon it’s about £4 for like 50 of them or something like that. I will send a pic now.
I’ve seen the monitors around but they are so expensive I wasn’t sure weather to invest in one 🤔

@Skyla01 I hope yours does to. The bloody pill has a lot to answer for. I never realised it could mess with your natural cycles so

I’m also quite slight (not through exercise but just petite) so I worry that my bum could affect it too.

@whatsthecraic91 I will be dtd every other day, then once you get the static that = LH surge so approx 24hr until ovulation. So once you have static DTD each night for 3 nights, have a day off, then once more for good luck! I had to endure 9 days of flashing before static last month, but my cycles are long.

@Carastarchild good to know! I guess it's cheaper than "fertility lube" too? We were using saliva until I realised it can kill sperm! So avoiding it this month. I've already ordered the pricey lube but will think about your suggestion if we get through this stuff.

@Carley321 your long cycles must be really frustrating, especially so long after stopping the pill. Any sign of then regulating? I'm just on to cycle 4 since stopping pop in March. Last cycle was my shortest at 37days. Quite excited this time I might hit "normal" i.e.

@Skyla01 well your already better than me. My first cycle when stopping was 90 days. Then they went to around 40 and the last 3 cycles have been 29-32 so 🤞 this is them finally regulating. Yours is sounding positive 🤞.

So each month I use my cheaply opks and there is always a really dark line around CD 10 -15 then goes and then I get another later on which is what I assume ovulation. Does this happen to anyone else... thought I’d ask my bodies so weird though I expect not lol.

@Skyla01 thank you, I ordered 20 incase I have a long cycle like this one, it was 35 days and I’m usually about 29/30

@Carley321 yes I have heard of that happening to other people. I haven't used the cheapie opk but my last 2 cycles I have noticed I get two lots of ewcm, first around cd20 and then again a week or so later when I ovulate. That might be something similar? Hoping if I'm nice to my ovaries this cycle they might ovulate the first time round. I'm glad your cycles finally seem back on track.

@whatsthecraic91 me too I've just ordered more of the 20s. My cycles are getting shorter so I'm not sure when to start testing, I don't want to miss anything. But it's probably wishful thinking to imagine my cycle magically snapping back to 28 days. I think I'll start testing on cd15 like last cycle. Do you know when you'll start?

We cuddled up last night watching TV, so I wasn't on my phone. Will read back now. AF arrived this morning, so I am officially Cd1... New beginning 🤞

@Skyla01 I’m just going to start on CD10 to follow the SMEP! Just to be sure I don’t miss it! My cycles are different every month ranging from 28-39 days!

I'm 25 and this is our first month TTC. Currently on CD 3 so waiting for CD 8 to roll around.

Well I'm CD5 now and from tomorrow onwards my CLearblue fertility monitor will be asking me to POAS every day until I get a Peak. My cycles can be irregular so the endless POAS can be frustrating! If this is a normal(ish) cycle I should O around 20th. Life is v busy at the moment though and my body has been known to delay O/AF when I'm busy, so hope that doesn't happen this time!

Sounds like there are lots of long and irregular cycles out there! Hopefully by using smep & opk we'll all be dtd at the right time. Fingers crossed for nice early ovulation!

@catsandkid does the monitor work just like opks? Do you still need to buy sticks for it?

@Skyla01 yeah it works similar to the digital OPKs but i found it far more reliable than the normal digital ones. Got a BFP first month with it last time (DS is now 3). You buy stick packs online and use them in the monitor.

I have my monitor set up as well. I was just hoping boots would have an offer on the sticks as they are pretty expensive. Saying that though I get two cycles out of a pack usually. The pregnancy sticks only have a sensitivity of 50miu I think.

I have been taking it easy all day...period cramps aren't as bad as I expected but they could potentially get worse.

I actually also take New Era tissue salts no. 1 calcfluor, as they help circulation which is needed for successful implantation.

How is everyone feeling? My issue has basically cleared up now.

I’m gearing up for cycle 2 of SMEP. I’ve had mild cramps very mild and lower back ache and I was sort of half convinced that it was implantation (too much reading on google) but now I have white discharge so that’s a pretty good indicator AF is on the way I think.

Where is everyone at this cycle? I’m not doing the whole TWW thing as I’m sure I’m out because of the discharge so I’m just going to continue waiting for AF

Yes I’ve decided to stop moping around and just get on with it. I’m 5dpo but I’ve had mild cramps, mild back ache and like I say white sticky discharge so I’m already banking on AF showing her ugly face.

Are you still on dtd EOD? I’m guessing you haven’t hit your peak yet?

Thanks @Skyla01 you’re still in the fun bit at least. I just want my stupid body to hurry up and get on with it so I can start again. I’ve never wanted AF so badly 😂. Are you feeling hopeful for this month and did you decide to use preseed?
