Af is rearing 🤦‍♀️ Well just spotting gunk for now. But it’s defo on the way 😢. Not yet out of my sulk but hopefully I’ll get there in time for FW

Well done for staying strong @DGirl35 keeping my 🤞 crossed for you.

Hello @itssquidstella it’s a tough time. But I’m sure you will get there soon. Cycle 2 is so early 😊.

It’s crazy that it can get high and low throughout the day @AllHopeAndNoResults do you think dtd at certain times would make a difference?

AllHopeAndNoResults · 28/08/2019 09:30

@carley you are not out until she arrives so fingers crossed she stays away. What do you mean gunk? Is that normal for you?

Tbh I have no idea about anything anymore but we do always tend to dtd at night. Funnily enough I was reading another thread about old wives tales ect for conceiving a girl and apparently doing it in the morning is a sure sign of a dd 🤷🏻‍♀️ I know with ds it was night time.
That was a totally useless piece of information and not relevant to what you asked 😂😂😂 but it’s there anyway lol

What dpo are you now?

firsttimemum55 · 28/08/2019 11:34

Morning ladies hope you're doing well
@AllHopeAndNoResults I just looked at your opk results and I wanted to say the quality of the picture effects the result.
The one you have that says 0 is blurry so I imagine it couldn't read it well. If you're not sure just keep repeating the picture until you get the same result each time. I've had to do that before because my pictures weren't coming out well. Good luck!

AllHopeAndNoResults · 28/08/2019 11:36

@firsttimemum55 hey, thanks for the tips but that was from my last cycle and It was my first time tracking so still getting used to it 😂 but I’ll bare that in mind thank you 😊

firsttimemum55 · 28/08/2019 11:37

@Carley321 hold out you're not out till you're 3 tampons deep!!! when are you due? I thought AF was coming as my boobs usually start to get sore and they did just that so just wait and see what happens. Fingers crossed and baby dust for you XX

firsttimemum55 · 28/08/2019 11:38

By the way it's tinyole I changed my username out of excitement 😂😂

Carley321 · 28/08/2019 11:48

@AllHopeAndNoResults yes completely useless but it did make me smile, and after being a total spoilt brat and crying all morning. I really needed a chuckle 😊.

I am CD 29 11DPO and gunk is brown funk when wiping, yes it’s normal for me a day or 2 before af 😢.

@firsttimemum55 I wondered who you were 🤣. It’s strange actually because I’ve had really sore boobs since ovulation. It just hasn’t gone. But I’m pretty well I am sure that af is on her way. The gunk is normal for me at this point in my cycle and I’ve googled implantation bleeding and it ain’t that lol. It’s hit me hard this time around. But I’m eager to try again.

Carley321 · 28/08/2019 11:49

Did you have implantation bleeding @firsttimemum55 (I know that’s not what’s happening but just wondered).

AllHopeAndNoResults · 28/08/2019 11:54

@firsttimemum55 😂😂 I love the excitement! But I replied to you as though you didn’t know my cycle 😂😂 how are you getting??

@carley ahh I see BUT you still don’t know. If last month taught me anything it’s that our bodies will act as they like pregnant or not and it can have so many signs pointing to one way and it being the other. I hope it’s a good sign for you 🤞 it’s mad how when ttc that’s when our cycles suddenly become all out of sync isn’t it? Or maybe we are just noticing it more

Skyla01 · 28/08/2019 12:48

@DGirl35 well done you! The wait it almost over for you. Fingers crossed.

@Carley321 I hope this isn't your AF arriving.

@firsttimemum55 hello! Hope you can give us some of your luck!

I'm 3 or 4 dpo just now. Patiently waiting. Re: everyone we know having babies / being pregnant. It is hard not to feel jealous. I kinda had my feelings brought in to perspective recently when a close friend had a traumatic late pregnancy loss. So awful for them. Made me feel stupid and horrible for feeling jealous in the first place. Not a nice story I know but made me realise that getting that BFP isn't everything, and to keep the bigger picture in mind. We'll all get are beautiful babies when the time is right x

firsttimemum55 · 28/08/2019 13:44

@Carley321 you know yourself best but I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
I didn't have any implantation bleeding, just a bit of spotting on ovulation day. I thought it was because we'd BD so much but I think it was ovulation. Oh and I had really mild nausea and and off from about 3dpo but that's pretty much gone now.
I will say this month I had the least symptoms. All my other cycles I was certain I was pregnant with tingly nipples and all sorts but now nothing.

firsttimemum55 · 28/08/2019 13:44

@AllHopeAndNoResults I'm doing great hun! Doing my best to keep it a secret and spending most of my time scrolling through mothercare. How are you? What cd are you on?

firsttimemum55 · 28/08/2019 13:49

@Skyla01 that's such a sad story hope your friends are doing ok. Well as much as can be expected at such a difficult time. You're right it puts everything in perspective. When I was down about it a couple cycles ago I got a reality check from one of my friends who is older than me (over 35) and not in a position to even try and she would love to have a baby. Reminded me that we're all so fortunate to have found someone we want to have children with and that want to have children with us!

AllHopeAndNoResults · 28/08/2019 13:51

@Skyla01 that’s awful for your friend. I hope she’s doing ok, well the best she can. I do agree though the BFP is just the start of it all. It’s constant worry regardless isn’t it? How are you feeling? Anything going on?

@firsttimemum55 oh I bet you are just twitching with wanting to tell everyone...it’s the best bit looking for baby stuff, have you told dh yet? Sorry if I missed that bit.
I’m on CD6 and I’m looking forward to starting this cycle, a lot of positive things have happened for me this month so I hope this will be the cherry on top!!

Have we got any testers coming up??

AllHopeAndNoResults · 28/08/2019 13:53

@Carley321 you’re not being a brat lol you are just as anxious as the rest of us to get a BFP and want to know straight away. Sometimes though it is good to have a laugh and try to relax just so it doesn’t go to our head. I failed that last cycle and was constantly googling and scrolling through the conception board 😂😂
I think I googled how long does SMEP take to work on average and how long does it take Agnus Castus to kick in, about once a day every day 😂😂 oh the joys!!

Carley321 · 28/08/2019 16:46

@AllHopeAndNoResults I know our bodies are such a minefield. I just think that when it actually happens, it’s not going to be a month where I’m completely obsessive with it 🙈. But thank you for you positivity. Your so kind. And yes I’m a loony too I’ve literally googled absolutely everything pregnancy related you can think of... I’m banning myself next month. No google. I hope you all help me too!
How are you getting on?

@skyla01 your right. It’s just one mission after another to work through isn’t it.

@firsttimemum55 glad your doing well. I’ve had very little symptoms this month. Just sore boobs and nausea which also built my hopes up (as any bloody thing would) lol. But this just wasn’t me month.

I have my shakes stones to keep me positive and hopefully bring me some luck this month, so let’s hope something changes.
I’m also debating weather to completely cut out alcohol this month? What’s everyone’s thoughts?

firsttimemum55 · 28/08/2019 21:52

@AllHopeAndNoResults I told DH on Monday and he was over joyed. Telling my mum this weekend because I just can't not tell her but everyone else I'll wait till 12 weeks.

Sending lots of baby dust to you this cycle 💫💫💫

firsttimemum55 · 28/08/2019 21:56

@Carley321 what are you doing at the moment regard alcohol? I would drink between AF and the next time we started trying so would stop around cycle CD8. And frankly I needed those drinks to have something to look forward to if AF came. I would stop after that because it messed up my temperature so much it made it difficult to follow.

They do say for best chances you need to be in optimum health so no drinking would be best but think about all the babies that are conceived on drunken nights!! I

Carley321 · 28/08/2019 22:07

@firsttimemum55 I’m not a heavy drinker anyway but I do have a few glasses of wine at weekends or a few cocktails if I’m out with company. But don’t drink in ttw.

You are right about having something to look forward to, the onmy thing keeping me going is those cocktails on Sat. 🤷‍♀️ But thinking of completely giving it up in September.... but then does it add stress because there is nothing to look forward too, plus there’s nothing to keep you calm after a stressful week (made more stressful by ttc). It’s so hard to know what to do.

So you tempted too? I don’t temp 🤔

DGirl35 · 29/08/2019 07:24

Caved and POAS this morning....BFN! So I’m out this month. 😭😭 Can feel AF on her nasty way too!!

Best of luck to everyone else, baby dust to you all! xx

GoodCow · 29/08/2019 07:36

Whhhhhhy is it not going up?? Thought I'd try testing this morning to see if it made a difference and it was lower than before! My app said Tuesday should have been my day but nothing is happening! Temp is staying around the 36.5 mark too. Cycles are pretty regular, between 25-28 day cycle

Sperm Meets Egg #2
firsttimemum55 · 29/08/2019 08:27

@GoodCow hi hun. I'm not sure if you've been told this already but the best time to take an opk test is between 10am and 6pm and you need to not drink anything for at least 2 hrs before you take the test as it could dilute the hormone a lot. I would take them at lunch time at work so 1pm then as soon as I got home around 5.30pm

Hope that helps! Xx

firsttimemum55 · 29/08/2019 08:32

@Carley321 temping really helped actually I just knew where I was and if I'd ovulated yet. I didn't really trust Ava got either because it definitely got my ovulation date wrong as I stopped BD before the date it said. But like I said it was still early days with it. I'm still using it to track my pregnancy but it only records heart rate variance, sleep and breathing rate in the pregnancy mode. I thought of selling it but the weekly pictures and info on what's happening in pregnancy are really good so hanging on to it for that really!

GoodCow · 29/08/2019 08:42

@firsttimemum55 ah ok, I thought it was up to 8pm. I don't get in from work until past 6pm. Will have to do it at work. Even more glamorous than normal!

firsttimemum55 · 29/08/2019 09:24

@GoodCow I know everything about ttc is so glamorous 😂😂
Also definitely worth testing twice a day as you can miss hour peak if you don't as it only lasts for 12hrs xx
