@Carley321 yes quite, I’m actually starting to think it’s a mind over matter thing....who knows how it all works as long as we all get our BFPs

@cara aw bless, so the age gap will be quite a difference. I agree with you about losing count. DS was 7 last week and we’ve been trying since he was a few months old so that’s quite a long time but I am saying this is my 2nd cycle because this is the first time we’ve actually tried with tracking ovulation, dtd at the right time, using preseed etc. I’m actually starting to think it will never happen.
If AC actually works for us then I’ll be using it again, if I manage to have another I don’t think there will be any stopping me in case I can’t do it again for ages 😂😂

My cheap OPK tests have been at 0 since CD8, now on CD11. Yesterday I got a 0.9 but today it's back to 0. Am I doing something wrong?? Am testing between 6-8pm (depends on my plans) and not drinking an hour beforehand.

Ooh, I think I did have the light on yesterday! Will see if that makes a difference tomorrow!

@Carley321 I'm not surprised that you found hitting the 12 month mark difficult, it must be hard to pass milestones. All I can advise is to keep positive, and somehow try to relax about ttc and make sure you're still enjoying the little things in life. So much easier said than done.

I've just completed our 3 days in a row. Will see if we can see the plan through on Wednesday. Now have to wait. Last cycle my luteal phase was only 11 days long so might not have too long to wait!

@Carastarchild that is a long time I hope we can all get our bfp soon. It would be amazing to have some more on the thread.

@AllHopeAndNoResults wow that long? That’s crazy. Have you gone to see about it? It gets to you doesn’t it. It’s just like constant rejection isn’t it.

Not knowing is just the worst thing for me right now. It’s driving me nuts!

@Skyla01 cross post. Thank you. It is hard. I wish I could have the type of personality that is a little easier going. I’m so uptight and such a worrier (which probably doesn’t help). I just literally have no idea how to manage ttc and not thinking about it 🙈

@carley only now I am going through my GP but even that is a long haul. I was thinking about this the other day actually, it’s annoying, they say you have to be trying for one year before you go to the GP right? So anyway after a year you get to your first appointment and they want to run loads of tests and then repeat them for a few months and then refer you to gynae which can take weeks for an appointment and then the gynae might want to run their own tests so actually waiting a year turns into nothing happening for just short of another year after that!
I’m waiting for one more blood test and an internal and then I’ll be referred. It’s such a long process!!

@AllHopeAndNoResults I completely understand. I have pushed for tests soon because of my irregular periods. I’ve had bloods an internal an ultrasound. All fine. Now I’ve been referred to gynae because of my pelvic pain that was 10 weeks ago and still no appointment. It’s crazy. I’m so scared of running out of time.
We actually paid private for a consultation which is where I had the internal and DP had a sperm analysis so I’m glad we did that at least.

@Carley321 10 weeks??!! That is crazy!! I must say, my GP surgery have been really good with appointments ect it’s just the wait for doing specifically timed things. Bloods ect. The ultrasound appointment came through very quickly on both occasions. I’m currently waiting for an appointment for an internal, this one is taking the longest to come but it’s not by far as long as you are waiting.
I don’t know however, if the gynae appointment will take a long time.

@Carley321 in Ireland you would be waiting years and @DGirl35 and @whatsthecraic91 would totally agree with me on this. The waiting lists here are shocking. Even if you go private you could be waiting 6 months. Ring them and see how long more you will be waiting.

@AllHopeAndNoResults a big gap I know, but that's the way life worked out for us. My DS would love a sibling and the thought of him growing up alone upsets me.

@catsandkid how are you feeling today? 💚 You were spot on regarding the cbfm and FF. My temp rose this morning... Phew ☺️

I agree with @Carastarchild waiting lists are shocking for anything over here. I remember reading an article recently that there were 30,000 women waiting on appointments with a gynecologist.

On another note, i think i'm going to test in the morning. I'll be 11 DPO tomorrow! Not due AF until Sat but i don't think i can handle the waiting anymore. Am i mad? Someone convince me to wait!!

Well I was beginning to feel a little better today until yet another friend has announced their pregnancy. As happy as I am for them, I’m feeling completely frustrated that it just isn’t happening for us 🙈.

This is so bloody hard. I’m such a moans cow lately. So sorry ladies!

@Dgirl35 don’t do it. I’m due Sat too. I tested yesterday at 9DPO BFN and it felt worse than when af shows up 😢.

@Carley321 don't be sorry, i feel exactly the same. Two of my friends are pregnant and 2 of them have had babies in the last month so as much as I'm so happy for them, i just desperately want it to me be too!!

I'll try my best not to test!! I really want to but then again i don't want to be disappointed either! This morning i got up and went to the toilet straight away before I could test!! I thought to myself there's no point in testing if its not FMU so just get on the loo and the decision will be made! I think i'm losing it!

Yes try and wait (says me 🙈). I tested I. The afternoon at 9dpo because I just had the urge to poas. I don’t know what the hell is wrong with me this month. I’ve turned into an absolute mental nutter.

@Carastarchild I get that, and sometimes it works out best that way. My ds wants a sibling also and I feel sad I can’t give it to him yet.

I feel good this month though.

@AllHopeAndNoResults You were right! I did another test today with the lights on and it came out at 0.24 so going up.

What levels count as high and peak?

@GoodCow fabulous! So now you know to take it in the same light. I think once it goes 1.whatever it goes into high. It will tell you anyway. Shall I attach a pic of mine last month for you to have a look at?

Stay strong @DGirl35! Wait for a few more days and you'll be able to rely on the result! I find seeing a bfn so demoralizing, I'd rather wait for AF. Good luck!

Thanks @Skyla01 I managed to stay strong and didn't POAS. Actually quite proud of my willpower, usually I have zero!!

Sympathies to everyone who's been driven mad ttc. I'm only on cycle 2 so early days, but loads of my friends and colleagues have either recently had babies or are pregnant, so I'm finding it hard - obviously I'm really happy for them all but insanely jealous at the same time!
