Such amazing news @tinyole was this your second smep cycle? Do you think you can wait until Tuesday to tell DP?

I don’t know... I am feeling so down that I want to test just to get an actual chance to test before af rocks up. How weird does that sound?

I have af niggles all over the shop especially lower mini cramps on either side, so pretty sure it’s coming but so fuffed of with it being here before I even get to get my hopes up lol. The only thing I am holding on to is that I’ve had a tiny bit of nausea in the mornings hardly anything to shout about though. And that’s not completely abnormal for me.

Gosh sorry about that rant... I’m feeling a little weird today about it all 🙈.

@Carley321 no need to apologise. You know I mentioned my best friend got pregnant first try this cycle. That was really tough for me to hear. I was sooooo happy for her but bummed out for myself and needed to rant so I do know how it feels when you're down about not being there yet.

I'd say do what ever makes you feel better. If you want to test, go ahead. If you want to wait. Do it. If you want to scream and rant go ahead. It's an emotional rollercoaster and there's no right or wrong way to deal with it.

@tinyole congratulations ✨💜 🎉 💜✨ are you going by the Ava bracelet in terms of how many dpo you are? I am only asking because Ava told me that today is ovulation day, but the cbfm, opks and FF have all pinpointed ovulation as 3 days ago. I think perhaps you are further along if you are going by Ava 😁could you share a pic of your ava chart. Here is mine so far

@Carley321 remember that AF symptoms and early pregnancy symptoms are very alike! I hear you. Look test if you feel you need to, but I actually think 12dpo is a good enough time to test, as you will have a greater chance to see a more accurate result. I have everything crossed for you 🤞💜🤞

@Carastarchild thank you!! Still so shocked. To be honest I don't really trust Ava. It says my temps went up when temping says it went down and vice versa. It also says I ovulated 2 days later than natural cycles says and I stopped bd on the last day natural cycles stated.

However saying that I will admit it says it takes at least 3 months to get to know you and I've only used it for 2 months so I may be unduly harsh. I've attached my chart.

Aw thank you ladies. It really does help so much having this chat. I know symptoms can be the same, but what I’ve read (I know I shouldn’t) the lower cramps are only a sign of one thing 🤬. But I’ll keep hope. 🤞🤞.

I know I have turned into an absolute nutter this month but after trying for a year and trying something new I had high hopes. X

update:
Two days ago... tested at 15DPO as AF hadn’t made an appearance and I’d promised myself I wouldn’t test early (so proud of my own will power this month!)
We’d been trying for 6 cycles, cycle 5 we sort of did SMEP. Cycle 6 we did follow SMEP and used preseed for first time too. I’m so relieved to see a strong line, now to try and relax and not spend the next 8 weeks worrying about things going wrong!

Sorry to not have replied but I needed a little break. @tinyole congratulations! Absolutely fantastic news! I’m made up for you and I just knew it would be you soon.

I’m cd3 and waiting to get started again. I feel positive for the next few months and I’m oddly sure it will happen soon. I get so pleased when I see your BFPs but I get so disappointed for myself too so I just needed a little break. As I say I’m feeling confident going forward and I started AC from day 1 of my cycle so 🤞 it will make a difference.

@tinyole did you continue using AC? Do you think it helped?

@tinyole big congratulations! Really nice to see your bfp. And so exciting you can share pregnancy with your friend!

@Jen306 congratulations for you too! It seems the time away from all things conception really helped for you. It’s fantastic news. It seems to be a lot of BFPs are made on the 2nd cycle of SMEP.
It’s probably that going into the 2nd try you sort of know it better. So 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞 we all get ours by our 2nd cycle too!!

@tinyole and @jen306 congratulations!! That's lovely news. Hope some of us will be next! I'm very nauseus today but could be all the heat! I've had more spotting too 😭 but it's very light and I'm still holding out hope. I'm 13dpo... Determined to wait until tomorrow before I test but af may get me first 😬 anyone else testing this week? 🙏

@AllHopeAndNoResults so glad to hear from you! Sucks to be in a new cycle but I have such great feelings about SMEP I believe it's going to happen for you too!!
And regarding AC I stopped taking it last cycle. I had a really odd cycle and brown bleeding 3 days before my period that stopped and started and I think it was because of AC. It delayed my period and I thought it was implantation bleeding but the way my temperature had dropped I knew it couldn't be but didn't want to admit it to myself. However I'm different and it may work completely different for you so fingers crossed 🤞🏾 🤞🏾🤞🏾

@Vio112 I know our bodies can be so cruel. I’m not sure when I ovulated but my bfp OPK was last Friday so guessing sometime around there.... which makes me 9dpo at most tomoz... do you think it’s to soon?

@carley321 aw yes maybe that's a little early. You'd probably get bfn and then feel really despondent even if it was a bfp a few days later! I'm nervous about tomorrow. Sorry tmi alert but I keep running to the loo thinking I've bled and then nothing is there!

@Carley321 to be honest I was trying to keep my mind off it so wasn't really thinking of anything. My best friend though said she had a really good feeling for both of us and she turned out to be right.

@tinyole I remember you saying actually that you wasn’t really getting on with it. It’s strange how it can affect people differently. For me I can say that it’s helped in terms of my cycle, for the first time ever I came on bang on one of my apps predictions and I had the shortest cycle I’ve had in months (35 days) and my progesterone has risen so I do think it’s doing something for me.
I’m obviously yet to find out if it helps to conceive but if I do I think I will put it down to AC.

It’s good though that you actually didn’t need intervention of any kind to get your BFP and at least you tried it so now if you ever want another on future you know what works for you and what doesn’t.

@Jen306 have you been using anything else?

I currently only take Folic Acid, AC and vitamin D do you think it’s worth me taking anything else? Oh and obviously we use preseed.
