Hello ladies, thanks for asking about little old me 😊

I’m doing ok thank you, went out for a meal for my birthday last night and had one and a half strawberry daiquiris, I felt all weird with it and the alcohol tasted rank to me (I think maybe because I haven’t drank for a while) then when I came home I had a raging headache and was dry heaving and felt really sick and dizzy it was honestly as though I had a hangover I was in bed by 10:30!! Still felt weird and dizzy this morning.
And my boobs are really sore!
What I’ve learnt from this month and last that it is totally useless to symptom spot! Because our bodies naturally act as though we are pregnant until AF arrives obviously because of the progesterone so next month I will try my hardest to not look out for anything!!

How is everyone else getting on?

RachRainbow · 15/08/2019 12:59

Hi @Skyla01 I usually get positive opk day 19-21 really hoping it's sooner as well this month (it was day 19 last month) we are going every other day until then even though I am getting 'low' I'm determined to give this plan a proper go. Annoyingly we will have to have next month off trying as i couldn't risk catching next month it would mean missing my sisters wedding as I would have to have a c section (how annoying is it trying not to plan round things but this is kind of a big deal so I have to).
@AllHopeAndNoResults wow that sounds a bit strange off such a small amount but you are right I have felt pregnant every month since the start of the year lol 😂 hope you enjoyed your birthday we have to try and live in the moment don't we x

AllHopeAndNoResults · 15/08/2019 13:03

@RachRainbow thank you! And yeah I know it does seem strange but I’m thinking perhaps I ate too much that’s why I felt sick and because I haven’t drank for ages it got to me different.
With DS I just knew I was and you know you hear stories about women just knowing....well I’ve just ‘known’ for the last 2 months and I haven’t been 😂 I’m starting to not trust my own instincts lol

Carastarchild · 15/08/2019 13:21

@tinyole this is the clearblue advanced fertility monitor.

@AllHopeAndNoResults it all sounds really promising 🤞🤞🤞how many dpo are you now! Eeeek!

@fallingasleeprightnow use some coconut oil to help soothe and ease the discomfor I find canestan actually makes me more irritated.

Carastarchild · 15/08/2019 13:24

Discomfort 🙄 predictive text

AllHopeAndNoResults · 15/08/2019 13:35

@carastarchild I know but I’m starting to think my mind is making me think and feel like it. I’m 9dpo today. If I was reading this about someone else I’d say it sounds promising but I think I’ve got a reason for all of these things that are not pregnancy related lol. Today all I have is sore boobs and I did last month too. No cramps, backache gone and I have a spot on my face 😭😭 so I just think I’m waiting for AF

How are you getting on?

AllHopeAndNoResults · 15/08/2019 13:38

@fallingasleeprightnow I’ve just seen that conceive plus gave you thrush. Preseed did this to me this month but it was really mild. I used Canesten cream but it basically disappeared before I used it. I’m still deciding whether to chance it again this month because I actually really liked it and I’m convinced it gives me the best chance to get them swimmers up there!
Will you use it again?

Makingawish · 15/08/2019 14:05

Hi everyone, just popping on to see how everyone is 🤗

@Skyla01 I used conceive+ for 2/3 months before using PreSeed last month and not once have I had even an inkling of getting any type of thrush nor have I read that in the hundreds of reviews I've read so I think it might be more the constant DTD that's causing others that problem or being super sensitive down there! Give it a go anyway 😊

Carastarchild · 15/08/2019 15:16

@RachRainbow thanks 🤗 I am okay to be honest sometimes I feel very sad about it, but I am really trying to move forward. Cd 10 oh, exciting stuff! My opk changed really fast again last month, so keep an eye out for it 😉

Sophieb15 · 15/08/2019 15:33

Hi Everyone,

I'm on another thread too and I've spoken to a few of you on different threads. I like the SMEP method and I have shared it to others on other threads. My OH works nights and I work days so very hard for us to do it but he had a few days off this time and we DTD more than normal. CD 6,9,13,14,15,16. Positive OPK on CD 15. Hope its ok that I join here too. I also tried Preseed for 2 months I didn't really like it it made everything too slippery. Used it only on CD 9 this month because I was quite dry.
Here are my Stats:
TTC no 2
Cycle 7
AF/BFP 26th Aug
Currently 3 DPO

Carastarchild · 15/08/2019 18:31

@AllHopeAndNoResults I know what you mean. I was feeling the same way last cycle and I got a BFP, temporarily, but a BFP all the same. Fx for you 💜 When are you going to test 🤞

Carastarchild · 15/08/2019 18:33

Welcome @Sophieb15 this truly is a lovely and supportive thread. I hope you get a BFP this cycle 🤞

AllHopeAndNoResults · 15/08/2019 18:44

@carastarchild I don’t want to think it’s possible right now because I convinced myself I was a few days back and now not so much. It’s all taking over my head! This isn’t healthy lol. Tbh I’d be really surprised if I did because this month was defo more of a trial and error month and I only started taking AC mid cycle so I’m really not thinking it could be my month and I feel like this is the longest two weeks I’ve ever had in my life.
I sort of just want AF to arrive so I can say alright that was all AF but on to the next try.

Skyla01 · 15/08/2019 18:52

@AllHopeAndNoResults it really is hard not knowing and just having to wait it out! I guess we all need to find a strategy to cope with it all that works best for each individual's sanity. I found going on holiday during the tww was a great distraction! But unfortunately we can't do that every month!

AllHopeAndNoResults · 15/08/2019 18:55

@Skyla01 I don’t think it’s the not knowing as such I think it’s more like thinking you are and then it being that you’re not! And you then feel a bit silly thinking there was a chance when it was nowhere near. Does that make sense? I wish I could go on holiday every TWW 😂😂😂

Skyla01 · 15/08/2019 19:01

@AllHopeAndNoResults last tww I was feeling pretty optimistic until I read you shouldn't use saliva to help DTD. And with that one fact I decided we had 0 chance last cycle. Although I'm sure millions of babies are born after using saliva as lube. It was illogical thinking flipping from positive to negative so quickly.

It's probably best not to think about it too much. Not sure how I'll distract myself at the end of this cycle :(

AllHopeAndNoResults · 15/08/2019 19:08

@Skyla01 exactly that! One little thing can sway you 100% mine had the opposite and when I see that tiny weeny bit of blood I was like right this is IB I’m pregnant I’ve done it and then the reality sets in and I felt so silly to even get excited about that!
It really is best not to think about it but when you’re actively ttc that’s pretty much all that’s on your mind. I was saying the other day I wish there was a way to know for definite (without a test obviously) for example a spot on your big toe or something stupid so you can be like right I’ve defo conceived 😂😂

Carastarchild · 15/08/2019 19:23

All we can do is hope that it will happen. I am just heading out the door to head to my homeopathy appointment. I hope she can help 🤞✨🤞

AllHopeAndNoResults · 15/08/2019 19:46

@carastarchild good luck, let us know how it goes 🤞

Carastarchild · 15/08/2019 19:56

Just got here 😊 my consultation will be between 1 hr and 1 1/2 hrs. Hopefully I will come out feeling better 😊

AllHopeAndNoResults · 15/08/2019 20:49

@carastarchild you got this 👊🏻

Skyla01 · 15/08/2019 21:46

@Carastarchild let us know how you get on?

@AllHopeAndNoResults how do people keep chilled out?! It's all-consuming! Agree pretty much impossible not to think about it all the time. Gotta keep the faith and hope it happens soon!

Carastarchild · 15/08/2019 23:41

I was in with her for more than 2 hours! Omg! Mortified I was so long. She said that she will get back to me with a remedy in the next week or so, as she has to examine her case notes and decide what I need. It was great to be able to speak to someone on the same wavelength as me.

Skyla01 · 16/08/2019 07:50

@Carastarchild so glad you had a good experience! I'm trying to keep the positive vibes flowing here too. There's no point in being overly negative, going to try and keep my chin up from now on.
