The Hut of Gl/Doom Part V- for the unapologetically despondent

The new hut. Ta-da!

This one is a snug little basement World War 2 type nightclub, with dim lighting, snug velvet sofas, red walls and certainly no politically correct smoking bans. Occasionally certain selected men may be admitted at our convenience.

Sit down, make yourselves at home, and never, ever apologise for feeling like shit. That's about it.

just spoken to DH and he is almost starting to see the funny side...

what would I do without you ronny?

wheelybug · 14/01/2008 14:44

Aw Popsy - big hugs here too. Don't feel bad about seeking help - its got to be the best thing really (and I really don't think you can be classed as a nutcase if you're/have been depressed as a result of a) your father dying b) 'this' whole malarky. I think thats only natural).
Make sure you tell your DH though once he's in a better frame of mind (poor him, psyching himself up for it and then to not be able to do it)...

Congrats Becaroo.

HSG, injecting dye into your tubes, is fairly painful but not horrendous, suggest you take full dose of nurofen and paracetamol a good hour before the appointment. It does make you super fertile afterwards (if tubes clear) as it blows anything that may be in the way through. You can only have this test before you ov and after your period v complicated, so if you get a date for it take it as sometimes it is really hard to do the timing esp if your hospital only does them one day a week like mine did. good Luck

Asgoodas · 14/01/2008 21:43

Is there room in here for a little overweight one? I have been trying for many a year for another little one,(nearly 7 years to be exact)but have so far failed to get one which sticks. I need some company in my misery, can I join you?

duchesse · 14/01/2008 23:01

ladylush · 15/01/2008 11:11

duchesse, my room is padded as well as sound proof - don't do things by half you see

duchesse · 15/01/2008 11:31

What's more, I am 40 today.

OP posts:
ladylush · 15/01/2008 11:57

Hmm, well my fellow Capricorn birthday greetings to you (or condolences - if that is your preference). 40 is not old of course..........................says I who will be 36 on Thursday and not far behind you at all.

OK ENOUGH...........January is a shitty month and I defy anyone to disagree. Duchesse, may I suggest lots of alcohol (expensive, cos it's your birthday)- that will help hugely I suspect. My grammar is atrocious and terribly affected. I'm going back to my padded room.

OracleInaCoracle · 15/01/2008 11:59

happy birthday duchesse x

ladylush · 15/01/2008 13:34

wheelybug · 15/01/2008 13:35

Happy birthday duchesse.

ronshar · 15/01/2008 16:47

cantbearit · 15/01/2008 17:06

How come everyone bloody joins the ttc thread just days before they get their bfp but I'm bloody stuck there?!

ARRRGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH

Happy Birthday Duchesse, here's some champagne, I even got you vintage as its a special birthday.

duchesse · 15/01/2008 17:10

And how come everyone starts a thread about how to conceive a girl/boy, rather than reading the other five hundred on the same subject. FFS.

Happy Birthday Duchesse. I found being 40 was a lot better than the anticipation - it was a relief not to have to worry about it any more!

I'm in that ridiculous part of the cycle - cd21, sore boobs, twingy belly, bloating, etc, - when the devil on one shoulder is saying 'well, could be...' and the angel on the other's saying 'for god's sake, get a grip. It's like this every month'. I've even managed to convince myself that I don't care either way. Yeah. RIGHT.

duchesse · 15/01/2008 17:12

Hang on- I have those angels! Maybe they do the rounds...

OP posts:
duchesse · 15/01/2008 17:14

What about the "OMG I'm expecting y but wanted x" threads? How many times before everybody dies of boredom reading them?

OP posts:
Asgoodas · 15/01/2008 17:19

Duchesse and Herbaceous - I agree, would be very happy with either. Am due AF today. Not a sign - of anything. I just know I'm not but the angels are flapping...

duchesse · 15/01/2008 17:24

And I am on Flood Day, so definitely not. But then, I "stopped trying" four months ago, so that shouldn't worry me, should it?

OP posts:
ClairePO · 15/01/2008 17:25

That was me before, sorry I was hiding as I was being mean and unkind. My particular favourite lately was 'I'm pregnant but didn't want a baby born in....' posts

duchesse · 15/01/2008 17:26

...January? ;)

OP posts:
OracleInaCoracle · 15/01/2008 17:56
