sallie - agree with the others to go and see doc. I had two very early mcs (31 days and 36 days) and they were just as upsetting as the 10 week one. However, I didn't go the GP - just didn't want to talk to anyone about it really. But in retrospect I should have - because technically I have 3 mcs in a row and that's what most specialists require before they'll start helping you.

alterego · 16/09/2004 14:04

Thanks becki and tania - you were quick

Hulababy · 16/09/2004 14:08

Welcome CP3. Happy Birthday to your DS (posted on other thread). I guess you are nw feeling more than just broody! Good luck

MrsWednesday · 16/09/2004 15:00

Sallie, I'm so sorry to read your news ((((hugs)))). It is a horrible thing to happen, no matter how far along you are, because as soon as you see that BFP you start dreaming and planning.

The same thing happened to me two months ago (got positive test, then a week later started bleeding). I didn't go to the doctors but also think perhaps I should have done as it was my second this year (had a missed m/c in April).

Congratulations Alterego . After everything you've been through this must be a very nervous time. Have you had an early scan?

Minnie1 - have you done a test yet today?! The month just gone, I felt really sick and really tired for a few days but either it was a strange pre-AF symptom or my body playing cruel tricks on me because AF arrived just on time. I've got my fingers crossed that this isn't the case with you.

MrsWednesday,
I havent done a test yet today as i just can't bare another BFN.. I'm all confused with all the signs (is it AF or am i PG) eventhough the test monday was a BFN. Do you think i should test today?? Its a cruel game this TTC..
where are you on your cycle?

runtus · 16/09/2004 15:58

Sorry to hear your news Sallie, take it easy love and better luck for the future.

Congratulations Alterego - great news!

Bit of an update - I just had my review and managed to get my potentil Maternity Package increased from SMP to 6 months on full pay! I am soooo happy I can't quite express it

All I have to do now is get sodding pg......

MrsWednesday · 16/09/2004 16:02

Minnie1, I'm just about to start bd season. About CD10 or 11, something like that. Have warned DH that he has got a lot of work to do this weekend .

It's so difficult to know what to do about testing, isn't it? If you do and it's BFN it is so bloody depressing. Do you have any idea when you actually ovulated this cycle? If it was quite late on in your cycle that might be why you got a BFN on Monday.

Pamina3, you did better than me, I worked my way through a bottle of wine! Am suffering a bit today so it serves me right. No more after this weekend...

I can really sympathise with you pamina. Last time around I told a group of my friends quite early on, then I had the mc, then a little later on one of the group became pregnant - and I had to watch and smile and be pleased for her (which I am but it's difficult to get the emotions straight) as she "overtook" me.

My GP has referred me to the EPDU for a scan so hopefully I'll get an appointment soon - whether it'll put my mind at rest I don't know.

Hulababy · 16/09/2004 16:27

Wow Runtus - that is fab mat package!!! And I thought the teaching was good, but no where near that.

alterego · 16/09/2004 16:28

I got to the stage where I couldn't bear to test because I was worried it would be another bfp .... and then fail. I left it until about CD42 this time before testing so it really was a bfp

Hulababy · 16/09/2004 16:31

I did that when I was pg with DD. After all those months of nothing, it was about 6 weeks when I did test. I think the pink line took about 10 seconds to show up by then!

Geordie · 16/09/2004 16:35

me too...I refused to believe that I could be pg with ds.....I took the test just to prove that af was late..and I was over stressed.

ran the bath nipped to the loo and ..+++++++ nearly flooded the bathroom!!

Hulababy · 16/09/2004 16:37

I was supposed to wait to test until DH got home from work, but couldn't wait any longer. Was being sick daily by then. I tested and got BFP. Phoned DH who was so lovely. He brought the biggest bunch of flowers home woth him that night!
