2WW... The longest wait

Hi, I was just feeling a bit down in my 2ww and wanted to share a bit. I'm trying so hard not to symptom spot but it's impossible.

Im around 7 or 8dpo, I couldn't pinpoint the actual day as LH tests were inconclusive, CM got very watery one day and the next seem thicker so I'm hoping that's when I ovulate. I have sore boobs, slight backache, weird ache very low down in my abdomen, almost like an internal bruise. If I stand, sit or bend then I feel it ache.

Cervix is high and soft, creamy CM, little bit of nausea but that's probably because I'm working myself up... I stupidly did a test this morning which was a bfn so feeling even worse now!

I know everyone else feels the same way but I wish I just knew one way or another... I'm 35 so worried that's affecting my fertility too.

Definitely, you have to stay positive. Lots of people have bleeding and/or cramps and go on to have perfectly healthy pregnancies, there's stories all over this site about it.

My friend actually didn't realise she was pregnant until she was about 3 months because she had two full on 'periods'! And the baby was fine xx

Hiya, I’m in and out of this thread but mainly lurking! Just for a bit of a rant and reassurance, my period is late, only by a few days and I have done 2 tests and both are negative... where is my period 😂😂 I either want it to come now so the stupid cycle will start again or just give me a BFP!

I’m a massive symptom spotter too and think I’m inventing some 🙄

Hiya @Avf88, I am new on this thread but also been lurking and driving myself crazy symptom spotting, I have no idea when my AF is due all thanks to my implant I had in/recently removed, tested this morning after lots of ‘symptoms’ and strange things being said/happening from people who don’t know you are TTC which makes your mind go even more but BFN and around 14/15 dpo so think it’s deffo a negative for sure😔, how many dpo are you?and what symptoms are you having?x

@CSB15 I’m around 18 DPO, only done a couple of cheap tests and both in afternoon 🤷‍♀️ I feel sick and really bloated. I’m tired and quite emotional. My boobs and my back ache which can all be PMS I know 😫🙄

@Helensss I don’t really know what to say but I hope it all turns out ok, I guess you can’t really know till tomorrow did they say they would scan you? Xxx

@Avf88 it won’t let me tag you so I hope you see this?lol, I am pretty much having the same symptoms as you minus backache!I have sore boobs, they are enlarged, feeling sick but not being sick, constantly hungry, constantly weeing, tired and everything else really!but feel like getting a negative at day 14/15 dpo is pretty much my answer, but brought first response test to do tomorrow morning as heard they are the best ones!, you testing tomorrow also?

@CSB15 IM STARVING! Yep testing first thing then going to walk away from the sticks. I’ve had some randomly long cycles before and never really thought too much about it and was pretty chilled but since having a miscarriage there is no chill 🙄

Oh @Helensss, it doesn't look great hun but like I said people get this sort of thing sometimes and go on to have perfectly healthy pregnancies. I'm hoping and praying for you. What time is your appointment tomorrow? xxx

@Avf88 I am glad I’m not the only one constantly starving!haha, my OH’s nan asked me the other day if I was eating for two already (she knows we are TTC as we live with her so obviously wanted to make her aware and make sure it was okay), got home yesterday from picking my partner up from work on my way home to find a baby hat soaking wet from the rain on the wall pilar right outside his🤯all of these little things and very vivid dreams the last few nights which is unusual for me just all make me go crazy about it all even more!.

Think I am going to test again in the morning with my first response test as see very bad reviews about the Superdrug own ones that I used this morning, after this as I would be 15/16 dpo I really need to stop symptom watching and get it out of my head this month...then on to TTC next month!

Due to having no AF I have no obvious way of knowing at the moment, depends if AF comes back any time soon but as I didn’t have it the whole time I was on the implant I heard it can take a while so that’s a waiting game also, just carrying on trying to not stress and take it month by month and not symptom watch..easier said than done aye x

@Avf88 oh god why are we having the same symptoms but BFN on our tests😩

@peasando it’s at 11.20 but I feel like I’m wasting their time now? Should I still go or not because I’m pretty sure I know what happened xx

@Helensss I’m sorry lovely ❤️ I had this in April and I didn’t want to go to the scan because I thought it was over. But I guess part of me also still thought everything would be ok... it wasn’t, but I think it helped to get it confirmed. And maybe that’ll help get the ball rolling for further test for you. I’m sorry I haven’t read back very far to know your back story but assuming you’ve had this happen before. I’m sorry this is happening, even if it turns out ok it’s not fair to have all this worry ❤️❤️❤️

@Avf88 thank you for such a nice message! Yeah it took my body 2 years to get back to normal after the pill and this will be my 2nd mc, (I’m telling them it’s 3rd though) positive is that we seem to conceive quite quickly but some tests would be good, even just for reassurance! You spend your whole life trying not to get pregnant but when you want to it isn’t easy eh xxx

@Helensss I thought that to my self last night! How many years have I spent worrying that my period being a day late might mean I’m pregnant?! No one tells you it can actually be quite hard to get pregnant 🙄

@peasando it was ok, but they confirmed a mc. She said it’s most likely just bad luck but I can get a referral from my gp now and they said the waiting list is only a couple of weeks which was good. I’m going to curl up with the dog and order some rubbish food I think xx

I'm so sorry. That's so, so unfair. Just take it easy now and look after yourself - a large glass of wine if you feel up to it. I'm sure it is just bad luck but it's good that the waiting list is short and you'll get seen soon - please keep us updated.

The good thing is (and I HATED when people said this to me, but it's true) that at least you know you can get pregnant. When you see the doctor, ask about progesterone supplements - I'm sure that's what helped me with my son and with this one.

@Helensss - Oh I'm so sorry hun xxx sending you huge hugs and prayers. Look after yourself and have a massive cry - its important to let it all out. At least you have it confirmed and aren't at home wondering. Do you have close friends / family who know?

Feeling so bloated and tired today. Am 6DPO and I dont think symptoms start this early right? Had dull cramps last night and this morning.

@peasando yes they did say that to me today! Yep I’ve researched about that, hope it’s something so simple. I’m off to my best friends now and she has wine waiting for me, husband isn’t back till 9 but she’ll keep me occupied, thanks everyone for your support ❤️ Xx
