2WW... The longest wait

Hi, I was just feeling a bit down in my 2ww and wanted to share a bit. I'm trying so hard not to symptom spot but it's impossible.

Im around 7 or 8dpo, I couldn't pinpoint the actual day as LH tests were inconclusive, CM got very watery one day and the next seem thicker so I'm hoping that's when I ovulate. I have sore boobs, slight backache, weird ache very low down in my abdomen, almost like an internal bruise. If I stand, sit or bend then I feel it ache.

Cervix is high and soft, creamy CM, little bit of nausea but that's probably because I'm working myself up... I stupidly did a test this morning which was a bfn so feeling even worse now!

I know everyone else feels the same way but I wish I just knew one way or another... I'm 35 so worried that's affecting my fertility too.

Thanks, just needed to vent a bit x

I hope so @autismfamily. I called my dr and she said someone will call me back today so will see what they say, I have read that it’s
Old blood but also could be a sign of impending mc. Thank you for your support xxx

Chops14 · 30/07/2019 15:34

@helensss - sending love, it will be ok, from what I've heard it is normal to have some blood but obviously understand you are worried - anyone would be!

Hope you have someone there looking after you. xx

AutismFamily · 30/07/2019 15:37

@helensss only 2% of women have a more than one miscarriage in a row hunni xxx

Helensss · 30/07/2019 16:25

Thank you guys, wow is it really only 2%? I’m actually at work but haven’t done much of it today! Husband is at home though so he will look after me when I get back, fingers crossed tomorrow it’ll have stopped xx

peasando · 30/07/2019 16:59

@Helensss just seen this hun. Like @AutismFamily says brown blood is probably old blood but I know it's frightening. Thinking of you. Have you heard back from the doctor? Do you have an early pregnancy unit in your area you could contact and ask for a scan, just to reassure you? xx

Helensss · 30/07/2019 17:24

@peasando no they haven’t called me back yet, I wonder if they even will! I think there is one at the local hospital yes, are you able to phone up directly? Xx

peasando · 30/07/2019 17:56

I think it varies - I've phoned mine directly before and they got me in. No harm in trying? If you tell them about the blood and what happened last time hopefully they'll see you and scan you (although it might be tomorrow now I suppose)

Helensss · 30/07/2019 18:10

I think I’ll phone the dr 1st thing and try and get an appt tomorrow, then see what they say. It hasn’t got any worse, just a bit of spotting so I’m hoping it’s ok! xx

peasando · 30/07/2019 19:59

I'm sure it will be fine. Fingers crossed for you, let us know ho you get on tomorrow xx

Helensss · 31/07/2019 07:05

I’ve had really bad cramps all night, convinced was a mc but this morning just a tiny bit of brown again and my boobs are still sore, what’s going on! cramps are pretty bad though xx

peasando · 31/07/2019 07:19

Cramps can be normal, just things shifting about, baby getting properly implanted etc. Not a very technical explanation but that's how I looked at it! I had cramps at the start too, it is scary but doesn't necessarily mean anything bad. Are you going to phone the doctor this morning? x

Helensss · 31/07/2019 08:22

Have some red now 😞 Yeah I have an appointment at 9.50, do you think they’ll refer me? Couldn’t deal with them telling me to wait and see x

Good Morning Ladies!, Newbie here and hoping for some advice☺️

I have been following this thread for the last few days but finally decided to create an account and post myself, after driving myself crazy for the last few days!

Myself and my OH have been TTC since I had my implant removed at the end of June (very early days still I know), I tracked my ovulation and my clear blue solid smiley finally happened on the 17th July after what felt like forever of flashing smileys. I could tell I was definitely ovulating due to my discharge (TMI sorry) and slight cramps.

Following this the last week or so I have had sore breasts, felt sicky but not actually been sick, exhausted and constantly hungry!my OH actually said the other evening that it looked like my breasts had enlarged and that I was bursting out of my bra, explained that my breast felt fuller but that it might just be a good bra (we all have them), tried on multiple bras and everyone I was bursting out of..not that I am complaining!haha.

Took a Superdrug own test this morning as I couldn’t wait any longer but it was negative, although I thought it would be positive as the dye went funny for a while and I could of sworn I see the other line (test eyes probably), I have been reading your thread as I said and I can see people have had negative results with some tests but positives with others?, I can see you all seem to recommend first response, do you think I should purchase a few of these to try?.

Or am I going crazy, and symptom spotting?, surely any test should pick it up if I ovulated around the 17/18th July?.

Sorry for the long message just wanted to make sure I covered it all haha, I just know if I said any of this to friends/family they would think I’ve lost it.

Thank you!x

CSB15 · 31/07/2019 08:29

Sorry thought I would add due to having no AF while on the implant I have no idea when I should get it/if I should get it any time soon, which is a pain as missing AF is usually people’s first sign!😔

peasando · 31/07/2019 09:46

@Helensss I'm sure they will hun, explain to them what happened last time and your concerns now and demand a scan xx

peasando · 31/07/2019 09:49

Hi and welcome @CSB15. First response does seem to be the best, I would definitely get a couple of those if I were you. By my reckoning you're about 14/15dpo? So a FRER should definitely show something if you are, although if your cycles are a bit wonky following the implant I'm not sure if that would make a difference.

CSB15 · 31/07/2019 09:58

@peasando thank you for your response!, yes I thought that due to how many dpo I am then any test would show by now, I may get a first response one to test with possibly tomorrow just in case, if not then on to the next month to try!☺️So hard to not be disheartened by the negatives and trying to keep false hope even after the negative, researching to see if it’s possible to get a ‘false negative’ after 14/15 dpo which doesn’t seem very likely, just all these ‘symptoms’ seem to leave me convinced that something is going on but I suppose it could be AF symptoms without the actual AF just yet.

peasando · 31/07/2019 10:23

@CSB15 it's so hard, I think the worst bit of the 2ww is that so many symptoms of pregnancy are just there same as pre-menstrual/pregnancy symptoms. It messes with your head. Good luck and let us know how you get on with the FRERs.

peasando · 31/07/2019 11:05

How did you get on @Helensss? Hope you're ok xxx

Helensss · 31/07/2019 11:24

@peasando I have been referred to epu but haven’t got an appt till tomorrow morning. Having contraction like pain in waves, I also lied and said if this is a mc then it’s my 3rd so they said they’d refer for tests if it’s a confirmed one tomorrow xx

Helensss · 31/07/2019 11:28

Only tiny positive thing is I still have boob pain, last
Time it disappeared straight away

peasando · 31/07/2019 13:04

Ok well that's good that you've been referred. Good for you lying too, I would have done the same! Can you just go and put your feet up and try to relax today? xx

Helensss · 31/07/2019 14:31

Yeah I’m just at home, I’m friends with my boss so she understands, my husband booked day off too xx

peasando · 31/07/2019 14:39

That's good, glad he's looking after you. How are you feeling now, has bleeding got any worse? xx

Helensss · 31/07/2019 14:58

No not really, I’ve had two big bits when I wiped that’s like rusty coloured but no clots or anything yet. But bad cramps, can’t help but feel a bit hopeful xx
