2WW... The longest wait

Hi, I was just feeling a bit down in my 2ww and wanted to share a bit. I'm trying so hard not to symptom spot but it's impossible.

Im around 7 or 8dpo, I couldn't pinpoint the actual day as LH tests were inconclusive, CM got very watery one day and the next seem thicker so I'm hoping that's when I ovulate. I have sore boobs, slight backache, weird ache very low down in my abdomen, almost like an internal bruise. If I stand, sit or bend then I feel it ache.

Cervix is high and soft, creamy CM, little bit of nausea but that's probably because I'm working myself up... I stupidly did a test this morning which was a bfn so feeling even worse now!

I know everyone else feels the same way but I wish I just knew one way or another... I'm 35 so worried that's affecting my fertility too.

Thanks, just needed to vent a bit x

peasando · 25/07/2019 15:45

@Helensss Aaaaahhhhh!!! That's the best news ever, I'm so so delighted for you. Congratulations!! 😃😃😃💖💖💖

Helensss · 25/07/2019 16:27

Thanks so much!!! I’m feeling very happy but very nervous xxx

peasando · 25/07/2019 17:20

That's totally understandable but you just need to try and stay positive - there's no reason this won't be a happy and healthy pregnancy. Eek! All my fingers and toes crossed for you xxx

Helensss · 26/07/2019 09:17

Yeah I will try! I feel completely different this time round so I’m going to think of that as a good thing, how are you getting on? Xx

AutismFamily · 26/07/2019 09:52

I get u feeling nervous but as pessando said just enjoy everything xxx

peasando · 26/07/2019 10:26

Absolutely, every pregnancy is different and there's no reason this one shouldn't be successful. Oh I am so happy for you!

I am doing fine, feeling very fat and not enjoying the heat! 20w scan next week, really looking forward to that but terrified at the same time! If all is ok at that one then I might let myself start looking at girls clothes...we don't really need anything else as we still have everything from my son, but I am looking forward to a bit of pink!

Helensss · 27/07/2019 09:41

I think you’ve got far enough for things to be fine, I feel positive for you! Yes I keep getting bursts of excitement, then fear. My poor husband and friends will probably have a lot on their hands 😂 so the 1st day of my last period was 17 June which would make me 5 weeks 5 days, which is 4 days further than last time, looking at that as a positive too xx

Helensss · 29/07/2019 15:37

I handed my form in for midwife today, do you know when they normally see you for first appt? I don’t know what to expect! X

peasando · 29/07/2019 15:53

It varies from area to area but I think I had my booking in appointment at 8 weeks. Seemed like forever to wait at the time! x

Helensss · 30/07/2019 07:18

Woke up with a tiny bit of really light brown spotting this morning 😭 panicking xx

AutismFamily · 30/07/2019 09:03

Light brown is fine it will be old blood Hun. Xxx

Chops14 · 30/07/2019 09:40

Hey ladies Smile Newbie here hoping to join for some moral support!

Congrats to those with their BFP's!!

We've been married since May this year and we started trying just after the wedding. So third cycle in.

I'd say this cycle was the best shot so far, in that I tracked everything to the letter on Ovia - got a positive OPK, and I know we've done it on the right days and really gave it our all (have to say, this TTC lark is tiring!!! Grin )

Now im in the always frustrating TWW and trying not to get too excited and symptom spot. I've promised myself not to test early either...easier said that done!

x

Helensss · 30/07/2019 09:50

Really @AutismFamily thank you! I burst into tears this morning, hormones too I guess
Xx hi @Chops14 how exciting, anticipation is hard I know, how many days past ov are you? X

Chops14 · 30/07/2019 09:53

@helensss - Congrats firstly!! Smile

I'm only 3dpo. When did you test and get your wonderful news? Any tips?
x

Helensss · 30/07/2019 10:00

Thank you! My first one ended in mc at 5 weeks so I’m a bit fearful this time but keeping fingers crossed! First time I got a positive on a first response at 11dpo, this time I did one 11dpo, came up very faint I wasn’t sure it was there or not, waited 4 days and got a strong positive after I knew my af was definitely late! Hard as it is it’s best to wait as long as you can so you can be sure I would say, even though I didn’t stick to that rule and used to test all the time 😂Xx

Chops14 · 30/07/2019 10:23

Helensss i'm sorry luv, try to think positive - I'm keeping everything crossed for you.

I'm going to try not to early test! Luckily I'm on a course for a few days next week so that should lower my chances of opportunities to test plus I'll be distracted!

So exciting to think this could be the month... hard to get carried away! I've been looking up and thinking "I could have an April baby" -- argh! stop!!!

x

AutismFamily · 30/07/2019 10:23

@helensss would Ur period be due around now? XXX
Welcome @Chops14 well my one bit of advice would be don't symptom spot (easier said than done we know) but from the months of different symptoms I'm sure we will all agree every month our symptoms have been different xxx

Helensss · 30/07/2019 10:31

@autismfamily no It was due last Tuesday, have had nothing since one wipe of very light brown 6.30am so I’m hoping it’s ok? @Chops14 you aren’t alone there, I think we’re all guilty of working due dates out! Xx

Chops14 · 30/07/2019 10:35

@AustimFamily - hey Smile - very good advice, and I will try that this month for sure.

Its all in the hands of fate I guess...

x

AutismFamily · 30/07/2019 10:53

@helensss I would book a doctor appointment tell them about the blood and Ur previous history and say u want a early scan which u are entitled to due to your high risk factors. XXX
@Chops14 I had one month where I had no symptoms or should I say opposite to pregnancy symptoms and I was pregnant that time xxx

Helensss · 30/07/2019 11:41

@autismfamily do you think I should be worried? Ok I’ll phone in the morning, should be able to get one same day xx

AutismFamily · 30/07/2019 12:14

@helensss no I don't think u should at all but I know what u will be doing u won't stop worrying anyway Hun so do it and put Ur mind at ease xxx

Helensss · 30/07/2019 13:16

@AutismFamily ok I’ll phone first thing, it was a bit darker when I last when to the loo but still brown, I’m freaking out it’s happening again 😢

AutismFamily · 30/07/2019 14:37

@helensss I'm sure it's not Hun keep calm and think positive. Brown blood is normally old blood so could have been in your system for a while as the oxygen has got to it hence the colour. But u can always call and get a emergency appointment as it is classed as that too with your history. But please sweetie don't stress all will be fine xxx
