New thread for July- Clomid takers, Clomid queries, Clomid successes.....

NOW, WHERE ARE YOU?

OP posts:
tigerschick · 14/08/2007 14:42

Thanks lulu - I was getting worried that dh wouldn't last that much longer

Hope you are OK today. I can't imagine how you feel, but I like the idea of buying a nice plant. I think you just need to what works for you and hang everyone else.

Flosspot - hope you get some answers soon. This whole process has really brought it home to me how much treatment varies, not only area to area but gp to gp! It's ridiculous. Good luck.

flosspot · 14/08/2007 18:11

What a lovely idea Lulu- I hope it brings you comfort.

Thanks for thoughts Tigerschick....it is indeed a mad world. Have been looking at hfea website and thinking about the long road ahead!!!

Hopefully will feel more positive tomorrow.

lulu That's a lovely idea with the plant, a friend of mine did the same with for s childhood friend who had died years ago, she had a photo that she'd kept, but had finally reached the point of letting go and buried the photo in the plant pot. She says it reminds her of her friend, but in a positive way, whereas the photo always made her sad. HTH
I'm back at cd1 now, start 2nd clomid cycle tomorrow. Off to bed now.

Hi everyone else - I'm coming up to 'the crucial time' so dh is doing his exercises and getting plenty of sleep

lulu1414 · 17/08/2007 13:14

Congrats, Awen. Very exciting news.

Hope everyone is doing well. Nothing to report here. On CD11 so it is BDing time. DH goes away today for a couple of days, though.

nh101 · 17/08/2007 18:01

Hi guys, haven't been able to catch up with everyone cos well busy at work, but just thought I'd pop by to let you know I will be joining you in just over a week.

It has been ten weeks and two days since my last period so I went to see a consultant and he has put me on Clomid. I have to take progesterone first to make my period come and then I am there!

I had a mc in March and have had just one proper period since then so my attempts at ttc'ing have been frustrating to say the least!

lulu1414 · 17/08/2007 18:15

Well, welcome to clomid, nh101. Sounds good news to me. I also had to wait 6 months before they would do anything.

tigerschick · 17/08/2007 18:30

Hi nh101 - you are on the same 'drugs' as me. I had provera (progesterone) followed by clomifene - which is the same as clomid. The consultant nurse told me to wait until the beginning of August as I had a period in June and she wanted to be sure that I wouldn't have another 'natural' one before I started the provera - that was painful, knowing that I had the pills but wasn't allowed to take them!!! But here we are, provera taken, period come, clomifene taken, period gone ... bring on the ovulation

flosspot · 20/08/2007 15:14

So say all of us, tiger lady!

Welcome nh...get to cha to you twice as often now!

Hey Lulu- how are you feeling?

Fingers crossed for all that bding.....

OP posts:
flosspot · 20/08/2007 15:15

Nothing to report here, though af due shortly and no symptoms as yet. DH and I had big conflab over the weekend re: babies. He says he's not at all worried, and neither should I be. We are being seen by specialists and we did conceive on Clomid, even if it didn't work out. He is confident that it will happen again, but if it doesn't, he will do whatever it takes.....We will give ourselves until Feb when we will have been being seen for a year then look at our options, and consider knocking on mr Taranissi's door!

nh101 · 20/08/2007 16:41

What happened last time flosspot? I am sure your DH is right that if you got PG on Clomid before and then had a mc, it's just bad luck, like anyone having a mc.

How many months for you on Clomid now?

I am still waiting for Thursday when I stop taking the progesterone and then wait for my period to come (hooray! CD76 now). I assume my period will come in a couple of days and I can at last hope for a "normal" cycle.

Trying not to get too hopeful...

lulu1414 · 20/08/2007 17:34

Hi all,

Floss- I think your DH is totally right and my DH is the same. It is nice to have them so positive as we are spinning out! I have all the doubts and he keeps me sane.

As for me nothing to report. Have definitely not had EWCM at all. Feel rather dry. Last month when I was off clomid I felt like I had tons... Have not really felt any ovulation symptoms this time, but should have OV already or today. I'm slightly irritated as some critters are eating the plant we loving planted for our lost little one. Anyone with green thumbs out there? I think ants are the culrpit. Yeesh- bed bugs and now this.

I've updated the list. Well done nh101 for trying to get us all on roll call! (Floss I updated you, but not sure if it right)

Morning

I have a question - I have a scan to make sure the Clomid has stimulated my ovaries enough, but not too much. I rather stupidly forgot to ask if I need a full bladder or if it'll be internal. Does anyone know? It's in less than 2 hours and I can't get thru on the phone!!

buttercupbabe · 21/08/2007 10:30

When i had mine it was internal and they made me go and have a wee just before they did the scan. Probably don't need a full bladder as they are looking to the sides (I think if gcse biology serves me right!) Good luck.

tigerschick · 21/08/2007 10:37

Thanks. I wasn't sure as when I went for the scan to diagnose me I had to have a full bladder, but it ended up being internal anyway so I had to go for a wee anyway! Think I may just not go for a wee until I get there and ask, but not going to sit drinking loads of water now - too uncomfortable!
