Really enjoyed being on the Christmas day testing thread even though I was out before the 25th. I thought it would be good to start another thread for peoplw to join me in the TWW since the January buses are such a long period and some people are 14dpo and some like me are counting down the hours to the TWW. I ovulate on Friday 4th or Saturday 5th. Opks are very low at the moment but hoping to catch a surge. Still trying to DTD everyday (we are newlyweds), keep forgetting to take our vitamins and to use preseed but hoping just to get lucky on our second cycle.

@sal1987 Hey! Fx this is your month! Symptom spotting is hard to avoid! Sorry to hear you've been trying for over a year, I can't even begin to imagine the frustration. Keep positive and here's to a lucky Jan for you and every one else in this thread!

Soexciting · 05/01/2019 18:59

I have just watched the great sperm race on YouTube (was originally on channel 4). I didn't think there was much left for me to learn about TTC I was dead wrong so much new information definitely recommended to anyone interested in sperm!

Ooh my AF is due either 18th or 19th Jan too, glad to have a few buddies on this thread

CrossedToTheDarkSide · 05/01/2019 20:12

Hope I can join guys?
Never been on one of these properly and I’m currently going mad as should be due AF any day and desperately trying to hold out testing!
Age: 25
TTC: #1
Cycle: 4
DPO: around 14! Not sure exactly

Trying not to drive myself crazy. AF has been all over the place since I came off the pill, cycles have gradually been getting more regular- from 50 days down to 36 last cycle and tomorrow is day 36 of this cycle... DH also has very low sperm count but only had one SA so trying to think positively and hope it could happen naturally for us!! Good luck everyone. I’m soooo tempted to test but just know it will be BFN which is crushing.

Soexciting · 06/01/2019 00:27

@crossedtothedarkside hi welcome to the thread. I would be poasing right now if I was 14dpo! Good that your cycle is regulating, some people say that supplements help with that.
Was DHs sperm analysis through the NHS? Will they be repeating it? You only need one sperm to get there!
Hi @lavenderbluedilly, I think we were on the same cycle last month too, I ovulated early so will be testing on the 17th I think. Well I am not sure I ovulated at all but I had my surge early.

Officially lost the plot... Went to Target (I live in USA but originally from Ireland) and they had the cutest baby clothes in the clearnce section. I may or may not have 9 gender neutral outfits in the drawer in the spare room... Grin ha! DH was surprisingly fine with it too haha, one of the sleep suits said dad's little buddy ($3.98!!) So he was fully on board with my insane purchases. On another note, I have literally no clue when I ov'd this month! My opks have been confusing the last few days. CM is white and creamy like lotion which I have no idea is typical for me or not. Here I go symptom spotting already Hmm

CrossedToTheDarkSide · 06/01/2019 15:04

@soexciting I would but i’m currently on holiday and nowhere is open today to get a test from!! Local pharmacy is open tomorrow and keep praying I don’t get AF. I’m so sure it will be BNF though and that’s so hard to stomach so that’s why I haven’t bought a test yet. Felt so nauseous today but know it’s all in my head. Will pop out and get a test tomorrow if still no AF and will report back but I already know it’ll be negative and trying not to get my hopes up. I don’t know how you ladies stay so positive. TTC is so torturous!!

glowingtwigs · 06/01/2019 20:30

How are you all getting on ladies? I'm finding it hard to not compare any (probably imagined) symptoms to August when I was pregnant.
I've bought some ClearBlue ovulation tests for next month as the cheap ones I got from Wilco were confusing this month. Has anyone used them before? They are the ones with the smiley face.
I agree- ttc is absolutely torturous! DPO about 4 for me!

Explorers10 · 06/01/2019 23:17

TTC: #2
Cycle: w2
Age: 33

Period is due 14th Jan, not had much symptoms apart from cramps which have now stopped. Going to try and hold out a few days before doing pregnancy test if does not come. 1st conceived on 1st cycle so immediately fearing the worst that I can't have anymore and that I left having kids too late. Wishing everyone babydust for the new year

ChocChip01 · 07/01/2019 16:28

Hi there I’m also due AF on the 18th. First cycle of TTC #2. I was lucky with #1 and conceived first time. Trying not to think about it too much but it’s already becoming an obsession. 2 weeks is such a long wait... good luck to everyone TTC.

CrossedToTheDarkSide · 07/01/2019 16:46

Still haven’t got AF although I was expecting to by now so I bought a Clear Blue early test this morning and got a BFN. Sad Feeling sad and also silly for even getting the thought in my head that it might be positive. I know you have to stay optimistic but also I hate feeling disappointed so I try not to get too hopeful. Anyway, onwards and upwards to next month!! Still waiting for AF anyway before I can get onto the next cycle but sending everyone lots of baby dust and really hoping to see some BFPs coming our way soon!!

Explorers10 · 07/01/2019 19:22

@ crossedtothedarkside

I know the feeling it’s so frustrating getting that negative test as you keep thinking why didn’t it work. I also was in denial as AF was 3 days late and I thought I had tested too early so I was gutted when AF arrived after I did the test

sal1987 · 07/01/2019 21:52

I'm so sorry to hear you a bfn @CrossedToTheDarkSide. Trust me when I say it's the worst feeling in the world but you will get through it and be stronger when you come through the other side!! Just be kind to yourself and stay strong. Your BFP is coming!!

CrossedToTheDarkSide · 07/01/2019 23:07

@sal1987 and @explorer10 thank you! Still no sign of AF so that is making me feel a bit bit positive. Stupid I know. I am trying to be brave and just look forward to trying again. Wink On holiday atm so making the most of my time away and thoroughly spoiling myself with lovely food and long hot baths and lots of reading and chilling with DH. I am trying to be grateful and feel lucky for what I do have. Sending you lot positive thoughts and someone has to get that BFP soon ladies!! Grin

Soexciting · 08/01/2019 17:11

How is everyone today? I have been trying not to go mad obsessing during the TWW but it's going so slowly. Last month I was full of symptoms this month I don't feel pregnant at all. I think I might of missed ovulation I wanted to keep trying all month but DH has been poorly.
I am 4dpo no symptoms apart from some random stomach cramps/flutters what about everyone else?

OP posts:
sal1987 · 08/01/2019 18:19

@Soexciting I agree it's going to be a long TWW. I'm 3dpo and the only thing I have really is bloating, but I don't know if that's because I started doing slimming world again yesterday so put it down to all the fruit and veg I'm eating. Also I still have some discharge but I've read it can be either because you're pregnant or because you're not so not taking that as a symptom.
They do say it's 6dpo before you get any symptoms so maybe we are just looking too early, just stay positive!!

glowingtwigs · 08/01/2019 18:37

Think I'm 6 or 7 DPO today, hmm not sure if any symptoms... still got the sore boobs but used to anyway back before mc. A few bits of ewcm here and there which is possibly a bit odd. Oh and was so tired after work I nearly fell asleep in the car. Probably too early for any symptoms though I guess!

ChocChip01 · 08/01/2019 20:25

I am 3 DPO today too (according to my app so not completey sure if it is correct!)... and no sign of any symptoms yet. I seem to remember when I got pregnant last time it wasn’t until the week leading up to when AF was due. I started getting symptoms which were sore boobs and lower back and abdo aches which are also similar to what you get before your AF anyway. So until you do a test or get your AF it is difficult to tell. Keep busy ladies to keep your mind off it!

LillianFullStop · 08/01/2019 20:35

Hello joining here!

Age: 39
TTC #2
Cycle 2 (or 2.5 because cycle 1 AF came 12 days early so maybe I didn’t ovulate that month or something)
CD 24 (4dpo)

JingleAllTheQuack · 08/01/2019 21:28

Glad everyone else is finding it as slow as I am. Can't believe I'm only 4DPO - it feels like ages ago!

ohio91 · 08/01/2019 23:24

Hey everyone! CD21, I think I'm between 6-8 dpo... But I really don't have a clue because I have no idea when I actually ovulated due to confusing opks Hmm may have even missed ovulation and stopped DTD too early lol No symptoms yet. Slight twinge today, lil bit crampy last two days but nothing much. Trying not to over think anything! Been tired but then again I'm always tired! I always know when af is coming because I sleep LOADS a day or two before it arrives for some reason haha, but then again I'm a 1 nap per day kinda gal on any other normal day! So tiredness may not be something I can count on.

Fx for everyone. The tww goes slooooowww.

Soexciting · 08/01/2019 23:29

It's nearly midnight which means nearly another day past ovulation!
I promised myself no googling symptoms this month. So far I have checked earache+early pregnancy, toothache + early pregnancy and vivid dreams+ early pregnancy as usual Dr Google has two diagnoses pregnant or dying Grin

How are you doing @crossedtothedarkside?

OP posts:
CrossedToTheDarkSide · 08/01/2019 23:50

@Soexciting after I tested and got BFN I have been really good and not googled/ symptom spotted at all really!! Still absolutely no sign of AF though and don’t feel like it will appear but that’s just me being too optimistic I know!! On holiday atm til the weekend so enjoying every minute of it I can with DH before back to work next week and i’ll test again once I’m home if still no AF. Not allowing myself to think I might be pregnant yet but very grateful for no AF too!! I went mad googling symptoms and laying awake “feeling” pregnant last month and this month so after BFN I’m being really strict with myself and focusing on other stuff so I enjoy the last of my holiday before I go back to crazy baby-maybe brain! Sending love. Dr Google is your friend because everything can somehow mean you’re pregnant. Don’t worry you are definitely not alone there (and 99% sure you aren’t dying!!) Grin

User258 · 08/01/2019 23:59

Ttc, cycle 1.

AF due 18th of Jan.

The wait is driving me mad, I am wishing my days away and googling non stop. Urghhh.

KC88 · 09/01/2019 00:22

Hello Everyone,
I’ve not joined one of these before, but I’m going mad obsessing, and now see it’s not so unusual..!

Age: 30
TTC #1
Cycle 12 :( (my cycles alternate from 32-42 days though...so this one would be expected to be around 42 days if the pattern continues)
CD 21

This waiting is awful, fingers crossed for everyone!
