Hi there
Hope it’s ok to join
I had MMC Nov 29th at 10 weeks and erpc
Thought I had AF but not sure if retained product bleeding??
Hcg Friday was still 3,6 (why won’t it just all goooo???)

Using the clearblue FM and got highs all month (cd16 since bleed) and Ic’s Very negative :(

Was taking pregnacare and vitb6 but yesterday been told pregnacare can delay Ov and ness up cycles so I’m wondering if that’s it?? So dropping everything but folic acid and hoping Ov shows it’s face soon.

I have been temping but it’s all over the bloody place!! πŸ˜‚
Ordered a refurbished lady-comp baby which I’m hoping may be more accrurate and easy to use (I love a gadget!) Lol xx

Felinewoman · 08/01/2019 09:05

Hello,
I hope it's OK to join this thread.
I'm 35 and decided that it might be a good idea to stop preventing a pregnancy as I am not getting any younger.
I had the first unprotected intercourse of my life this month and I am imagining symptoms Confused
I know it is highly unlikely to have conceived the first time round but I was ovulating then after all.
I promised to myself to wait until my period is overdue before testing...but it seems like a long wait. After reading through Mumsnet I discovered I am not alone haha.

BambiOnIce80 · 08/01/2019 11:21

Thanks for the reality check (and success story ❀️) @Blueberry1 πŸ™‚ I find it really easy to get sucked into the symptom spotting (probably because I've been TTC for so damn long!), so hearing from someone that's had their BFP that they didn't notice any difference is a well needed reminder that there's no point driving myself nuts! πŸ€ͺ

Welcome @tigsyboo and so sorry to hear about your MC πŸ˜” I use the pregnacare conception vits and don't see any change to my cycles, but I have read a few accounts that it messed with some people (but I do wonder if those people are iron/B12/folate deficient πŸ€”). It's my first cycle temping and things are looking clearer since I started dry January πŸ˜„ Not heard of the lady comp baby, so I'll have to give it a Google πŸ‘

Welcome too @Felinewoman πŸ‘‹ You're definitely not alone πŸ™‚ What CD are you on/when will you be testing if you're late?

8dpo here and not much to report except boobs still aren't tender like they usually are (has my progesterone taken the month off?!) and I had a much better sleep last month 😴😁 It's amazing what a difference a good night's sleep makes!

How's everyone today? How're you feeling 9dpo @Amanda81?x

@BambiOnIce80 we were using condoms for the past year or so after I stopped taking the pill. Since then my cycle was quite regular, 29 days on average. I usually get really horny when I ovulate and this sort of coincides with the app I am using to track my periods (Flo). This month my predicted ovulation was over new year but I was sex crazy 2-4th of January. We decided to not use condoms this time....anyway, I am expected to have my period on Saturday...but obviously I just did a test as I had one of the cheap Tesco ones lying around....and I am imagining a very, very faint blue line...so, there I am. Silly me. Now I am even more paranoid and symptom checking. This is truly nerve wrecking.
Aaaaah! How are you guys dealing with this anxiety? I always though I am one of the cool ones hahaha

umpteennamechanges · 08/01/2019 11:55

@Amanda81 I didn't have any nausea after my MC, other than some extra bleeding my cycles went back to normal. That being said my cycles seem to be pretty bomb proof so may be different for other people.

Last time I was pregnant I had nausea from about 10dpo. I had a little wave of sickness that nearly put me off my dinner in a restaurant. I'm never off my food so that was a clear sign.

I'm going to Mallorca in Sept so no issues with Zika but if I got upduffed in the first couple of cycles I'd be too far gone to travel. I know this seems unlikely but I have tended to get pregnant quite quickly before (when I had my MC it was the only instance of unprotected sex all year) so it's possible Blush

tigsyboo · 08/01/2019 12:11

@bambi
It's basically just a Bbt machine with some extras as I got one with a 'baby-conp' upgrade ... it's Β£400 new but won an eBay auction for Β£50!!

BambiOnIce80 · 08/01/2019 13:49

Oooh, that sounds very promising @Felinewoman!🀩 Might be worth picking up a FRER to use first thing tomorrow morning to get a clearer result (if your get a faint line on a blue dye test then you should hopefully get a clearer result on a high sensitivity test πŸ€žπŸ»πŸ€)?

Just Googled it @tigsyboo - you did well to pick one up at Β£50! πŸ‘ The new ones on the website are Β£475! 😱 I think I'll be sticking with my Β£12 thermometer for the foreseeable πŸ˜„

Welcome to the thread @tigsyboo and @felinewoman.

@BambiOnIce80, how’s your sleep been? Any better last night?

Amanda81 · 08/01/2019 15:07

Hi @tigsyboo. So sorry to hear about your loss. I had a MMC slightly before you on 9/11 (found out at the 12 wk scan that the bean measured 10+1), I also had an ERPC. You are almost there! I stopped taking all vitamins apart from folic acid after the scan. The lady at the EPU advised it due to the possibility of messing up cycles. I didn't decide to temp until I got my first period after MC and am still finding my feet with it all. But it does give an insight and this forum is great for getting advice!

Hi @Felinewoman. I found it so hard to make a decision about when I should start trying! I always put my career first...Congratulations on making the decision!

@Blueberry1 - so hard not to symptom spot (honestly I'm terrible!), but thank for for the heads up. In August when I conceived, I didn't even know until I missed my period, but looking back all the signs where there. Weirdly I had really sore nostrils (build up of buggies everyday - soz tmi), which was something I continued to have all of the 12 weeks that I was pregnant. So pleased to hear your story, gives me hope.

Well I am 9dpo today. My temperature went down today, not by much. I have also got a stinking headache, which I think I got from being out on site. I've also had a breakout of spots on my neck and lower chin...damn it. It's so fricking hard not to register every little twinge.

Attaching my chart. To the BBT peeps, any reason for a drop?

Amanda81 · 08/01/2019 15:08

and here's my chart...

Felinewoman · 08/01/2019 16:02

@Bambi, yes I ordered some first response tests which should arrive tomorrow. This forces me to wait a bit longer.
@Amanda81 yes, I convinced myself that there's never a right time. I always out my career first and then went back to uni and I am a poor 4th year student now Grin ah well...if I wait until I am working and have time I will be post menopausal...so now or never haha.

Felinewoman · 08/01/2019 16:03

@Amanda these temperature drops are always quite miniscule no?

BambiOnIce80 · 08/01/2019 16:16

Much better last night, thank you @Kescilly ❀️😴😁 It seems to have been DP's turn to suffer from the insomnia because he gave up with trying to sleep and got up and pottered at 3am! Does make me wonder if his snoring was the cause of my crap nights sleep the night before, given that I slept much better last night when he wasn't there for half of it! πŸ˜‚ Off on a slightly related tangent - I know previously we've talked about how sex dreams seem to coincide with fertile week (and be with entirely inappropriate/fugly work colleagues! πŸ˜³πŸ˜‚), but I had a particularly steamy one last night (CD25/8dpo) involving DP! 😯 Highly unusual!! Absolutely no idea what's going on with my inner psyche! πŸ˜‚

@Amanda81 I was reading that the temp drop during the luteal phase (if you see one) can be due to one of 2 things. 1) because oestrogen starts to kick in again as this phase progresses and that has the opposite effect to progesterone, thus it drops your temperature or 2) implantation occurs and your progesterone momentarily drops as your endometrium picks up producing progesterone where the corpus luteum left off... Soooo it's basically either a normal sign of the luteal phase or potential implementation. Not much difference, eh?! πŸ™„

OP posts:
Felinewoman · 08/01/2019 16:21

What I meant is that it could be an implantation dip? From what I know implantation does occur between 6-12 dpo right?

Amanda81 · 08/01/2019 17:02

@Felinewoman @BambiOnIce80 - my money is on AF making an appearance at the weekend 😬 well I've got a busy week ahead of me, so should stop with the silly symptom spotting. If the cow-bag doesn't appear at the weekend (which I am sure she will) i will test on Monday morning.

@Felinewoman - exciting! Fx for you! Are you testing again tomorrow?

@BambiOnIce80 - those dreams πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. I had one about my brother-in-law a while back, couldn't look him in the eye for a while! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ good news about the better night sleep, sounds like the DP might need a few nights in the spare room so that you can get some shut-eye and truly know if his purring is the cause 🀣.

Felinewoman · 08/01/2019 17:14

@Amanda I agree, symptom spotting is useless...but hard to avoid. Do I have cramping? Do I pee more frequently? What is this strange twitching in my vagina? Am I nauseated or just hungry? Etc etc....annoying. I am meeting friends later so won't sit here squinting at a potential blue line. I think I might wait with the next test as HCG only doubles every 48h...so for a clearer result it's better to wait a bit.
I wish you all a nice evening :-)

TheNewbieStep · 08/01/2019 18:51

Happy new year fellow TTCers!

I'm still lurking and sending you all positive vibes! Going to have a good scroll to catch up!

I'm on dry January.... it's ruddy miserable... but my golly am I making sure we DTD on my peak days!!!

Love to all!

tigsyboo · 08/01/2019 19:16

Thanks for the welcome!
I’m hoping my monitor isn’t a peace of trash when it arrives!! Lol!
I’m off all supplements apart from folic acid until my cycles get back to normal!!

CNizzle · 08/01/2019 23:32

Hey everyone, sounds like there's lots going on, the pages are flying by, it was a struggle to keep up. @tigsyboo that monitor sounds interesting. I bought my clearblue adv monitor on ebay. It was less than half price. When it arrived it was still in the cellophane, just a bit of a bashed box! Bargain!
Speaking of which, got my "Peak" reading today. Did a cheapo opk after work which looked positive too, then OH came in, and promptly went straight to bed, shivering and coughing. I guess that means this month's a right-off as we havent exactly been taking advantage of pre-ov. Im a bit raging, but hes properly poorly, and isnt a typical man-flu kinda guy.

wheresthehope · 09/01/2019 01:43

Im still here..
Im due to O any day now
I am 9 days from my due date so that's getting a little tough..I should be getting ready for a baby not still trying to get my bfp
Bd last night and will again tonight and tomorrow and hopefully the day after

BambiOnIce80 · 09/01/2019 07:55

Happy New year @TheNewbieStep! πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰ I'm attempting dry January too (sort of - we're cheating on Friday for a gin tasting that was pre-booked🍸😬). Hope everything is good at your end?

Ah, that sucks that DP is proper poorly @CNizzle πŸ˜” There's so much of it flying about at the moment. I know the hospitals in my neck of the woods are saying that the winter crisis started yesterday 😣 Busy working weeks ahead!

Lovely to hear from you @wheresthehope ❀️ I can't imagine how tough the next few weeks are going to be for you πŸ’ Keeping everything crossed for you getting your BFP soon πŸ€žπŸ»πŸ€

Well. Insomnia came back with a vengeance last night (9dpo/CD25) 😟 Wide a-sodding-wake at 3am!😭 Felt like I was physically and mentally knackered and ready for sleep, but it was like my brain was totally wired 🀯 Also had another flipping sex dream when I did get back to sleep (albeit a strange voyeuristic one this time 😳)... I'm beginning to wonder if it's anything to do with the maca root? πŸ’ŠπŸ€” We've been taking them probably about a week now and I know it's supposed to increase sex drive/vitality (but for me it just seems to be effecting my dreams and not the rest of me! πŸ˜‚). Temp is up this morning (even higher than the 'bottle of wine on an empty stomach' incident πŸ€’), but wondering if that's because I didn't quite manage a solid 3 hours of sleep before taking it? Time will tell if it means something or nothing, I guess πŸ™„

Morning all

Your temps being up at 9dpo is promising @BambiOnIce80

Feeling very sorry for myself today, decided to try to look after myself a bit better as I know I've put weight on over the last few months and I've not been eating well at all. But I feel sick at the amount I've put on and my bmi is well and truly in the overweight category, which I've never been in. My bmi always was around 23 πŸ˜₯ I've been walking every lunch time since being back at work and am bringing my lunch every day. Trying not to dwell on it but feeling really angry at myself today.

Struggling to keep up with the thread but glad it's still going strong x

Pinkywoo · 09/01/2019 11:01

That sounds really tough @wheresthehope, I hope you're being looked after Flowers

I'm at 4dpo and time is going so slowly, I think it's because I know we dtd at exactly the right times this month so it's going to be a long tww! I'm not doing dry January (as a pub supervisor I thoroughly disapprove!) but am trying to eat healthily and lose a bit of weight, and DP is cutting down on the cigarettes before quitting, hopefully for good this time.

ladybranstonpickle · 09/01/2019 11:04

morning!
@VenusStarr - don't be angry with yourself. Think of your weight gain as a good thing, you've created a reserve for any additional nutritional resources for your future baby. You've done exactly the right thing to identify that you're not happy and have started taking great steps to improve it.

Walking is amazing for your body and mind, well done! I bring lunch 4/5 days to work too, its hard to keep thinking of interesting things to make but I find brainstorming really helpful. Are you packing salads? Sandwiches? Leftovers? I would love to bring leftovers but I have a hungry husband who always eats everything we cook Hmm.#

The thread moves so quickly! Bambi I have no idea how you keep up!

VenusStarr · 09/01/2019 11:11

:) thank you @ladybranstonpickle. I'm doing salads, got prawns and olives today. Yesterday was ham and egg. It's hard to make them interesting. I've been having strawberries and blueberries for breakfast too. Trying to reduce my carb intake as it means I eat less chocolate and biscuits and my stomach shrinks.
