Sorry you had tricky birth @darkstar4855, glad your little boy is OK now. Why don't the little mischiefs come out in a straightforward fashion eh? Little blueberry's latest trick is get up early when I go to work, so instead of being able to get up, shower, dress & have breakfast before he wakes up; I do it with a little companion Grin.

Didn't know anything about @janefx40's progress so good to hear she'll give birth soon.

Felinewoman · 17/01/2019 16:51

@pinkywoo sorry about AF :-(
@carley321 yes, good to hear the dog is feeling better!!
@bambi I'd also take the compliment :-) I was estimated to be 25 recently which felt good haha.

Also it was nice to read the baby success stories :-)

Update here: cramps and a tiny bit of spotting but no proper period. Now cramps stopped. I think it might be a red tsunami in the end! So I am still waiting...

79andnotout · 17/01/2019 16:54

I've had it the worst of both worlds, I looked about 12 until I got to my 30's and got ID'd everywhere, even at supermarkets up until then. Then I went straight from baby face to haggard. No chance anyone would mistake me for less than a woman on the cusp of 40 anymore.

I bloody love temping, and don't find it stressful in the slightest, but I am similar in mindset to @BambiOnIce80 in that I feel like knowledge is power and it gives me a sense of control. Every single cycle I've ovulated the day after a positive OPK, assumed the same this cycle, so stopped having sex the day before as we were worn out. Then my temperature didn't rise, and I felt a twinge in my pelvic region yesterday afternoon, and realised I was ovulating a day late. Managed to revive OH's interest enough for another stab at the target. Would have completed missed that if I wasn't temping.

@Amanda81 - I'm pretty sure anything more than 10 is fine, although obviously don't have a positive story myself to confirm. Mine is rarely more than 11 and I'd say my cycles are not my problem (pretty sure it's egg quality).

@edinbeezer - welcome! yeah first day is best. I record using fertility friend, i find it easy to use and understand.

@VenusStarr - you do sound completely overwhelmed. He must be worried about you. Hopefully you'll feel better placed to deal with it all with the counselling.

Sorry to hear about AF @Pinkywoo :(

Glad all is well @Darkstar4855 !

Carley321 · 17/01/2019 17:43

@BambiOnIce @79andnotout I also don’t think I would actually get it, I don’t really understand it enough and think it would mind boggle me.
Although I am beginning to get really frustrated. I feel like I get the hang of it and kind of know what to expect so pick the right day but obviously I am wrong and just don’t bloody get any of it!
DP has chosen my most likely fertil week for next cycle to go bloody skiing too so that’s another missed opportunity!!! Ahhhhh

Sorry ladies. That turned into a little rant then lol. AF is defo due any moment!! Lol.

PixieN · 17/01/2019 18:47

@Darkstar4855 It’s always good to hear a success story. Congratulations and sorry to hear about your difficult birth. The giving birth part kind of freaks me out (and makes me think of the film β€˜Alien’), but i’ve stopped worrying about it the longer to takes to conceive. Seems too far away! Also good to have an update on @Janefx40 as i’d been wondering how she was getting on.

@Pinkywoo sorry to hear about Af. I thought we’d cracked it this month too and was in complete symptom spotting mode - my inner symptom spotting psycho definitely came out, to use @BambiOnIce’s phrase Grin

I used to get ID’d all the time too - even when I bought mulled wine at the supermarket once! Unfortunately those days are gone 😏

Felinewoman · 17/01/2019 19:05

Ok AF arrived

Darkstar4855 · 17/01/2019 19:10

@PixieN thanks! I was just unlucky: got to 5cm at home then to fully dilated in the pool on just gas and air but sadly he had turned back-to-back and I just couldn’t push him out. I ended up with all the things I most wanted to avoid (3rd degree tear and episiotomy, forceps x2 and haemorrhage) but we were both fine in the end and it still felt like a really incredible, positive experience. I’m proud of getting as far as I did and if I had the chance to go back in time and have an elective section instead I wouldn’t want to!

BambiOnIce80 · 17/01/2019 20:12

Sorry for AF @Felinewoman πŸ’

Oooh, sounds like you're knocking through the wedding prep @Pinkywoo! 🀩 Wedding dress βœ”οΈ Ring βœ”οΈ What's next?

Excellent work on reviving DP's interest @79andnotout 😁 Sounds like you've covered all your bases this cycle 🀞🏻

Oh bugger to the skiing trip @Carley321! πŸ˜• No point giving the temping a go if it's going to stress you out lovely. It's not for everyone.x

I wouldn't wish the inner symptom spotting psycho on anyone @PixieN, but I'm also kind of glad it's not just me πŸ˜‚

@CNizzle, thinking of you.x

CNizzle · 18/01/2019 01:05

@BambiOnIce80 thanks hope ypu are doing ok too x
Im briefly back in Scotland to collect some stuff & try to get signed off work. Dad's still hanging on. He's not in any pain & the carers & nurses that come out to him are all just amazing. My mum's a wee trouper looking after him, but its too much. My sister's gone to stay for a day or two whilst im here.
With all this going on, its still hard to push ttc to the back of my mind!! Im 8dpo, AF due in 4 days ish. Zero symptoms, which in itself is raising red flags to my symptom-spotting inner psycho!!
Hope everyone's doing ok, i feel like ive missed out on quite a few posts x

Kescilly · 18/01/2019 09:45

@CNizzle I'm glad that they are taking such good care of him. Hope that you are taking care of yourself as well.

Pinkywoo · 18/01/2019 11:24

@Cnizzle Flowers

@BambiOnIce80 yep, just booked the ceremony! The Scottish island idea was beautiful but too expensive (we're trying to save for a house deposit) so it's the 30th of May at Leith registry office! Shock

Amanda81 · 18/01/2019 12:24

@BambiOnIce80 - cycle twins again πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. It is remarkable how much information temping can provide. Are your temps this cycle roughly the same as last cycle? Mine are slightly elevated, but are following a similar pattern. The diffidence this cycle for me is that I am cutting out the alcohol (eeekkkk!!!!!) and am exercising more (back into the running)...which is actually making me sleep so much better. It would be great to hear what they've got to say about LP length.

Amanda81 · 18/01/2019 12:25

@Felinewoman - that's just pants that AF has arrived! ☹️

BambiOnIce80 · 18/01/2019 12:41

I'm exactly the same @CNizzle - TTC still at the absolute front of my mind in amongst a very stressful situation! I'm keeping everything crossed that that you get some happy news at the end of this cycle ❀️

@Pinkywoo not far from me at all! πŸ˜„ I'll be raising a glass to you that day, just up the road from you 🍾πŸ₯‚πŸ˜

@Amanda81 my temp is roughly what it was when AF was here last cycle, so I'm waiting for my oestrogen to kick in and drop it in the next few days. I definitely find temping helps motivate me to keep away from the booze - it really does jigger the data!🌑️Well done you on getting running πŸƒ I've just gone out for my first one in a week and I'm definitely feeling it! 😳

zoomies1 · 18/01/2019 19:26

Hi all. Hope everyone is doing ok?
Its been a while since I posted but I'm getting very confused and frustrated. AF should have arrived about a week ago and I'm getting cramping but nothing else (except really sore boobs which is really unusual for me). I am still trying to stay pretty chilled about all this because its only cycle two and I don't want to start spending a fortune on tests but I wish my body would just settle into a nice, regular routine. I normally get cramping but only for a couple of days before AF. This has been going on a while. Is this a post coil thing?

Also, how do you guys manage to DTD when your husband / partner is really annoying you? xx

Felinewoman · 18/01/2019 19:56

You might be preggers or if your cycle is as messed up as my last one you might have ovulated late.
Was it the mirena coil you had? Although you might ovulate and therefore become pregnant straight after removal, it is a progesterone coil and you might be still adjusting.
Good work on not testing! I would have given in by now.
Re dtd...men are always annoying. I don't know. Sometimes I find that sex is a good binding exercise, other times I just don't do it if I don't feel like it but we only just stared thinking about making another human so this might change once I get frustrated.

Felinewoman · 18/01/2019 19:57

Bonding not binding

Felinewoman · 18/01/2019 19:59

Sorry for another post: my late period ended up being the strongest I ever had! It seems like my body decided to make an extra thick lining to shed it in a total mess!

QuantumGirl · 18/01/2019 20:34

@zoomies1 when my DH annoys me during FW I resort to bonding. I tie him up and put a gag on him. Always get the peace and quiet I need πŸ€πŸ˜‚πŸ™ˆπŸ˜ˆπŸ˜

Kescilly · 18/01/2019 21:56

Hi @zoomies1. I don’t want to get your hopes up but the cycle I conceived, I had cramps too. I kept thinking AF was here! I also had sore boobs although that wasn’t unusual for me. It was unusual that they didn’t go away after a few days as that would generally go away before AF showed.

Kescilly · 18/01/2019 21:57

My other symptom was a lack of spotting, as I usually had spotting in the couple days leading up to AF. I did end up spotting after I got my BFP, but not beforehand when I would have expected to.

zoomies1 · 19/01/2019 09:04

So, after the messages last night, I decided to take a test this morning and got a BFP! Really wasn’t expecting it (I think I’ve been in denial). DH and I are both in a bit of shock and now I’m worrying about the level of red wine I consumed over Christmas and making plans to go on holiday to a child free tropical paradise while we still can!
@Felinewoman, yes it was a Mirena coil
@QuantumGirl, I like your style Grin
@kescilly, looks like I’m pretty similar to you in terms of symptoms

Kescilly · 19/01/2019 09:39

@zoomies1 YAY! Don’t worry about the wine, I’m sure it’s far too early to matter. Put your feet up and enjoy the moment with your husband.

BambiOnIce80 · 19/01/2019 14:58

Congratulations @zoomies1!! πŸŽ‰ πŸ’πŸŽ‰πŸ’ How you managed to not test until you were a week late is beyond me! πŸ˜‚ You're definitely made of tougher stuff than me! πŸ˜„
