Hey ladies, Hope everybody is keeping well!
Im roughly 1/2dpo... im not tracking this cycle but im regular to the day!
I had 2 vodka with raspberry lastnight (very weak pours) and I felt yuck n didn't really want to drink them, woke up this morning feeling crap. Means nothing I know but mayb deep down my body wants to do good things! Or im bat shit crazy

Kescilly · 11/01/2019 23:37

Sorry I can’t reply to everyone individually but thanks for the replies! Yes, they suspect I might have gestational diabetes. @Melamine, I already had a test scheduled, they’ve just moved it ahead because of the measurements. I have multiple risk factors for GD so I don’t think you need to worry if it’s just the measurement.

My mom’s visiting for about a week and I’ve missed her so much. I’ve been busy catching up with her and tomorrow we are going out shopping together.

@pattyhoo sorry about AF, it’s like it waits for you to get your hopes up. Hope you have better luck this cycle!

Blueberry1 · 12/01/2019 06:59

nice to hear @kescilly & @melamine's pregnancies are progressing Smile.

@kescilly I was tested for gestational diabetes despite having almost no risk factors because little blueberry was getting quite large "for your size & ethnicity" according to scans.

I didn't have GD and little blueberry wasn't huge in the end at 3.79kg/8lb3 (scans can be 20% out!). So I had a few weeks of worrying, but it did encourage me to eat more vegetables and less chocolate Wink.

BambiOnIce80 · 12/01/2019 08:43

Sorry that AF has turned up @pattyhoo 💐 She's a real witch when she's late and gets our hopes up 😔

Well done on sticking with your dry January @Carley321 ❤️ Mine will be resumed today!

I hope you have a lovely time with your mum visiting @Kescilly.x

Well, I came back from my distillery tour with a good idea of where I want to retire to and a box of gin crackers for next Christmas! 🎄 🍸😁 Had a thoroughly good time and would definitely recommend the NB Distillery tour (I'll be returning when friends are up to visit 👍). On the non-gin front, I started with mild cramps last night and my temp has dropped by 0.1°C this morning so I think AF will be with me before the weekend is out 😏 I'm quite liking the early warning that temping offers. Definitely helps manage expectations.

I hope everyone has a lovely weekend and AF stays away for those of you who are due.x

Hi ladies! Hope you are all well! Anyone good with charts?? This is mine so far.... I thought I was having anovulatory cycle but for some ‘almost postitves’ on internet cheapie OPK on 18th and tgis temp rise today.... I’ve not temped before ....

CNizzle · 12/01/2019 10:13

Certainly starting to look good @tigsyboo. One temp on its own is not quite enough to prove the shift, but its a clear rise on previous days. I tgink Fertility Friend says 3 days higher than the previous 6 to prove ovulation happened. Looks like you've timed those ❤ pretty well, so 🤞!

@BambiOnIce80 im such a symptom spotter, that even a wee drop in temp like that all i can think is "implantation dip" even though i know in my head that its AF on it's way. There again, I'm one of those people that sometimes doesn't even believe its AF when it arrives! I 🤣🤣

79andnotout · 12/01/2019 10:34

Hi @tigsyboo I reckon you've ovulated on cd18 but yeah keep recording those temps like

79andnotout · 12/01/2019 10:39

@CNizzle said and it should be clear.

@pattyhoo sorry about AF :(

@BambiOnIce80 - ooh I'm definitely gonna check out that website. DP and I need to take a holiday before the financial year end as he has weeks left to use up.

I got my letter through for my next appointment at the gyno - it's not until end of Feb. Hopefully I can still get referred in time, I think they said it would be pretty fast if we met all criteria (we do on paper anyway).

Fertile week for me. I'm on my third day of peak readings and I reckon I'll get my IC + tomorrow night and ovulate on Monday. Got a shag in yesterday and will try today and tomorrow too. Love it when it coincides with a weekend!

Amanda81 · 12/01/2019 12:27

@79andnotout great news on your getting you appointment! 🤗🤗🤗

@tigsyboo looks like everything is heading in the right direction for you. 😊 Fx that you get the additional temperature rises that you need to confirm that you O'd. I hope things are better with your DP/DH.

@BambiOnIce80 pleased you enjoyed the gin tour and tasting. I hope you had enough of a sample to get you through to burns night 🍸🍸. Admire your commitment to stay on the dry Jan!

@pattyhoo sorry to hear about AF.

It's been quiet here, not much to report. I've been tinkering with FF data to see how it can quiet easily predict a different scenario, I'm amazed how much it can change just by not discarding a temp. This has certainly been a learning curve cycle.

AF still not turned up, but not really sure which day it is due, but should arrive soon. I had a significant drop in temp over night - 0.25. Not sure what that means, but have assumed that AF is on her way.

This cycle I have also been tracking my CP. Yesterday I had brown blood around the tip of the cervix. No red blood has made it down on to tissue or pants (tmi soz), but did get a little bit of brown blood on my tissue first thing this morning. Is this usual before AF? I wouldn't call it spotting.

I had a little bit of an insight in to children's toilet behaviour today. My nieces (age 7, 9 and 12) stayed last weekend, and I have only just got round to cleaning their loo. Yuk! 🤮🤢 vile creatures! 😂😂💖

Felinewoman · 12/01/2019 17:49

@Amanda81 good to hear you got your appointment! February is not too far away :-)
@Bambi I have to check out the distillery...just googled and it's not too far away. Will suggest to the pain in the ass...erm...I mean my lovely partner ;-)

So, AF is due today but no sign of her. I had cramping the last 3 mornings and was convinced that I would see blood but nothing. This is weird...I know I am not really late yet but my anxiety is quite high. I told my partner that I will test tomorrow if AF doesn't show up.
Out of the 13 cycles I tracked since stopping the pill only 5 were longer than 29 days...so there's hope?
I never thought I'd be so un-rational!!! I'm a scientist by training so should know better and not freak out!

79andnotout · 12/01/2019 18:32

That's sounds very promising @Felinewoman - fingers crossed for tomorrow morning!

Kescilly · 13/01/2019 08:27

Fingers crossed @Felinewoman!

Felinewoman · 13/01/2019 10:26

It's negative. Oh well. Now I can relax until next month...this anxiety was driving me nuts. Now just waiting for AF. If that doesn't show up within 7 days I'll do another test. But for now I'm not pregnant.

Carley321 · 13/01/2019 10:48

Hello all hope everyone’s enjoying the weekend.

@felinewomen sorry about the bfn but you never know until AF arrives. 🤞

I am 7dpo here and noticing all symptoms of AF so i think I’m also out this month. But 🤞 that I could be wrong.

Although this week it doesn’t seem so important. My Fur baby (dog) had some sort of turn/seizure (vets weren’t sure) on Friday night and we were told that it is most like a swelling or mass in/on the brain. We are torn what to do because he could go for a scan and find out (but the outlook would probably be bleak and he is almost 12 so fussing with him is a risk on it’s own) also the vets puts him in such distress that I’d be scared to leave him at all.... or we try different meds and take it day by day hoping it doesn’t happens again. It’s broke our hearts so much 💗 I can’t believe how much we fall for our little furry friends.

Russkispy · 13/01/2019 17:38

AF arrived today, 2 days earlier making this cycle 26 days. Decided not to start another IVF this time around. My dad is coming to visit me on Sunday for 2 weeks. Can't be dealing with him being here and injections, flying out etc etc I'll start next cycle instead. And this time we will just DTD every other day after AF gone and see what happens. I won't OPK, cheaply or digitally as run out of both and won't buying any either. Will continue with supplements, reflexology and acupuncture.
This is now 6 cycle since MMC hopefully soon enough we will get our BFPs! Whichever way!
@Felinewoman sorry about BFN!

MrsRRC · 13/01/2019 18:08

Hello ladies (whenever I write that I say it in a Perry from Kevin and Perry voice).

Had a bit of a break from Mumsnet for a few days as I was incessantly googling all manner of horrible stuff.

@BambiOnIce80 so pleased you enjoyed the tour. What sorts of gin did you try? I love a good bathtub gin and am always impressed when a small batch gin company makes their own alcohol.

I tried Seedlip Gin on Friday, it tastes a bit like pickled gherkin juice. AVOID!

@79andnotout fingers crossed for you, good work on the shag front 🤞🏻

Sorry for BFNs and sending positive BFP vibes to all.

BambiOnIce80 · 13/01/2019 20:28

Sorry for the BFN @Felinewoman and for AF @Russkispy 💐💐

And so sorry to hear your fur baby is suffering @Carley321 ❤️ I totally understand why you're in bits.x

Good news on the ACU letter and FW/weekend @79andnotout (I too love it when it falls at the weekend! So much easier! 😄). If you do decide to do North Berwick and you like seafood, definitely give the Rocketeer a go- beautiful views of Bass Rock and the seafood is fabulous 😋

I hope AF is staying away for you @Amanda81?

@MrsRRC we tried their standard gin (a London dry with a few more botanicals thrown in), their navy strength (same as the latter but 60-something %abv!), their samphire gin (a little like Edinburgh Seaside gin and a bottle of it came home with us 😉), as well as their vodka (not my thing) and their rum (quite pleasant, but reminds me of being 17 & getting very ill 🤢😆). How was your Michelin starred weekend?

I've had a mixed bag of a weekend. Lovely catch up with my BFF yesterday and then drove further south today to visit my grandmother (she has severe dementia and is in a care home). She died 20 minutes after we arrived. It literally felt like she was waiting for me to get there 💔😔 We had a very complicated relationship (she bought me up and didn't like me very much until she got dementia), but I inherently love her. She's been my mother figure. Looks like I'll be spending the next week organising a funeral and dealing with all the other stuff that comes with death... Not quite what I was expecting.

Oh. And AF turned up in full flow when I got to the nursing home. Somehow pales into insignificance right now! Despite our difficult relationship, my nan would have loved to have been a great grandmother. I really wanted to be able to tell her that news this year. Feeling a bit of a failure right now, which is ridiculous because it's something beyond my control 😞 Urgh. Need to give myself a mental slap and get 💩 done. Nothing I can do tonight, so I'm thinking "fuck it" to dry January and having a G&T for my nan. She would have been offended if I didn't! x

OP posts:
Felinewoman · 13/01/2019 21:13

Oh no :-( I don't know what to say. I am sorry Sad. You definitely deserve the gin. make your grandmother proud!

MrsRRC · 13/01/2019 21:19

@BambiOnIce80 I am so sorry to hear about your Nan 💐 it sounds like you are very pragmatic about your relationship with her, which will certainly help in the long run. Don’t be so hard on yourself about the bfp stuff. Life is hard enough without the extra pressure.

Gin tasting sounds wonderful. The overproof ones are lethal. If you get to London, make an advanced booking at The London Gin Club. Their tasting menus are amazing and their overproof one is not to be truffles with. The meal was lovely, except for the fact that I couldn’t seem to stomach the fish I ordered. Apple soufflé with salted caramel ice cream was the best bit.

QuantumGirl · 13/01/2019 21:42

Oh @BambiOnIce80 so sorry to hear about your nan 😥. Family relationships are so complicated and I feel some of the older folks find it difficult to show affection but the fact she waited for you means she loved you and you were very important to her, with baby or no baby. A G&T to nan indeed 🍸😘

Clare19821 · 13/01/2019 22:38

@BambiOnIce80 I'm really sorry about your nan. At least you got to see her before she passed. Not to be a bad influence, but I think you deserve the G&T too. What a rough time for you - I'm so sorry. Sending you lots of strength for the week ahead xx

@Carley321 so sorry about your dog. My dogs are my babies too, can't bear it when they get sick. Hope you can get some different meds for him xx

I haven't been on here for a while as my DP is having a work crisis so we probably have to put off baby talk til end of Jan at least. Trying to be supportive but feeling rather meh. Trying to focus on my own shit like work and friends and trying to get into a fitness regime. I also don't know what all these abbreviations /temp measurements etc mean on here as we haven't started TTC yet. But hopefully I can chime in more soon. And wishing you all lots of luck in the meantime. Stay strong everyone xxx

Andromeida59 · 13/01/2019 22:50

Hey everyone. Just joining the club Grin. I'm 36 and we're officially TTC.

I'm massively excited and so happy we're finally at this point. Back story, for years he said he never wanted children, I stuck around to see if he'd change his mind, not only has he changed his mind. He's excited about the prospect of having a family. I'm so happy and TTC is incredible. I'm new at all this so any tips etc. feel free.

CF is as it should be at the moment. Only issue is I'm not feeling as tight IYKWIM. Is this normal? Best of luck everyone Grin

Carley321 · 14/01/2019 07:02

I’m so sorry about your nan @BambiOnIce80 my thoughts are with you. It is such a horrible thing to go through and the relationship sounds a little complicated too so I can’t imagine. But like QuantumGirl said she clearly needed younwith her at the hardest time. 🍸 to the G&T for nan. X

@Clare19821 thank you it is very horrible. I hope so too or it will mean a very horrible decision will soon be on our hands. I can’t bear to think about it.
Sorry about the work stuff going on. I hope it gets sorted soon and you are back to ttc ASAP xx

QuantumGirl · 14/01/2019 07:51

@Carley321 so sorry about you doggie. I just read your post, what a horrible situation. My baby was also at the vets for a paw injury and it broke my heart to see him sedated. I don't have any advice, sorry but sending you good positive vibes 🐶😊

pattyhoo · 14/01/2019 08:19

@BambiOnIce80 so sorry to hear your news. Sending you lots of love and positive thoughts Thanks
