Our new year's resolution is to get a BFP!

I fell off the December bus today after a 34 day cycle. AF turned up this afternoon. I will be ovulating on Christmas Day by the looks of things! Hoping this means I can enjoy mulled wine etc this Christmas.

So here we go again.

It’s my birthday in 2 weeks, so could end up having the best present ever! We dtd last night, although it was technically Christmas morning so hoping for a little Christmas magic here!

We have always talked about children but it has always seemed like something so far in the future. We’ve been married for 2 years (together nearly 10) and now just feels right.

Merry Christmas ladies! I've stayed away from the forum and all things baby-making for a week or two between AF and ovulation. It's quite nice to have that time away from the craziness, symptom spotting etc.

I literally just took an OPK and it's the darkest most dark colour possible so I guess I'll ovulate later or tomorrow. My app originally predicted the 28th.

Me and DH are a little too full to BD now, but it's on the cards for later! Thankfully, we're on our own this year. (Change of plans, i originally thought family meant to be visiting us & staying today but I'd got crossed wires!)

Me and DH have certainly made the most of having a couple of days off work and having no guests over. I'm trying to not let my mind run away with itself as it's only cycle 1. But we've certainly given it a good try!

I’ll join in too, after a BFN today (and sunday). AF due today but hasnt arrived yet, just pre period cramps. Feel sick too.
But the sickness could be disappointment and too much prosecco

@boodles101 Yes I understand not wanting to get ahead of yourself. I'm only cycle 1 and I just feel like it's going to be such a let down with a BFN at the end of this 2WW!

I am feeling so put out.

I had a disastrous Christmas. Positive OPK yesterday and today but no BD and didn't look like there's much hope for tonight either.

I think I am out this month, on my own bus as well. How embarrassing.

Don't be embarrassed paintingowls Xmas is a busy time and things get in the way. You could ovukate up to 36 hours after the positive opk so you could still have time tomorrow but don't put too much pressure on yourself. Pour yourself a nice glass of something

@PaintingOwls totally agree with @boodles101 that we put too much pressure on ourselves at the busiest time of year!
Also don't forget that sperm can live for upto 5 days so if you've had chance for any BD at the weekend too, that would still give you a chance! X

@paintingowls I am in EXACTLY the same position. I got positive opk on 23rd and 24th. Tried to BD on 24th but DP couldn't finish (longstanding issue for us), didn't get opportunity yesterday so now today is our last hope but I expect we've missed it. I'm trying not to be sad about it but it's hard.

Sorry to hear that you're suffering too veeboo it's just so disheartening, isn't? Especially knowing how narrow that fertile window is.

@paintingowls I'm just trying to be positive. What cycle are you on? I recognise you from other boards. It will happen for us both I'm sure. We've dtd today but I think I'm at least 1, maybe 2dpo. My cervix feels high though but opk negative now. It was first positive on 23rd...I never know if O happens after surge starts or ends? Hope you're feeling okay

Just ordered some conceive plus (as pre seed clearly hasn't worked!)

And a multi vitamin with the same vits as the conceive plus supplements.

First acupuncture session on the 3rd jan, so really going hard next month 😂

This ttc stuff is getting expensive....

23- DTD, EWCM, neg OPK
24- EWCM, spotting (from DTD?) neg OPK
25- DTD, pos OPK
26- DTD, neg OPK
27- was predicted to ovulate on one app
28- was predicted to ovulate on another app

Very similar to me wildflower got a good chance with lots of DTD. seems to be a few of us that will be testing around the same sort of time.

Just got my first positive on ovulation stick this afternoon we DTD this morning before I knew. Is it worth doing it again tonight? DTD Monday and yesterday.

I worry because although I am a healthy BMI my partner is over weight which I know can have an impact on sperm quality.

What day will you start testing? I'm due AF somewhere around the 8th/9th Jan.

Are you a POAS addict or sensible? I'm definitely not sensible but got burned last month with pink lines on a couple of FRERs that turned out to be nowt more than evaps/indents 😡

I'm considering ordering some FRERs on amazon for next week & I have a pack of ICs in the cupboard hmmmm

wildflower I think I'm due around the 8/9 Jan too. I would really like to hold off and not test early as I had a chemical pregnancy the month before conceiving DS then spent the first few weeks really worried. But saying that I know full well I'll gave a few days before AF is due. I figure if I don't buy any tests then I can't take them. So I'll have to try find some will power from somewhere!

Sadie I'd say it's worth DTD again tonight if you're both up for it.

Ooooh.... @SadieSue29 personally, unless you're both super in the mood this evening, I'd do it in the morning and give DH 24 hours to recharge 🤣!

Your positive could mean you ovulate anywhere up until 24 hours after the surge. Sometimes even longer than that!

So even if you ovulated today, you're covered by DTD this morning and my app says you'd have 18% chance of getting pregnant today. Tomorrow would be 7% chance. Then down to nearly nothing after they.

If you ovulate tomorrow you're also covered by DTD today (29% chance). Then do it tomorrow (18% chance) and then Friday (7% chance).
