Our new year's resolution is to get a BFP!

I fell off the December bus today after a 34 day cycle. AF turned up this afternoon. I will be ovulating on Christmas Day by the looks of things! Hoping this means I can enjoy mulled wine etc this Christmas.

So here we go again.

Thanks @Bluebell9 I'm fine now, still a bit of a headache but much better. It was just so sudden and so painful! I sound a bit dramatic but honestly I've never had anything like it before, I could hardly breath it was painful. They said as I don't have any other symptoms like blurred vision it is v unlikely to be serious, if it comes back again I have to go straight in for tests. But it's probably just a tension headache from extreme tiredness. My one wish for everyone on this thread (including myself ha ha) as well as a BFP is a good sleeper, 18 months of broken sleep is pretty horrific!

@PaintingOwls nothing wrong with being hopeful. Fingers crossed next month brings you a BFP

I have a pack of 2 first response rapid results tests. I ovulated on 8th Jan and have the urge to poas. When's the earliest I could reasonably test? I'll put it to a vote

@PaintingOwls that's what it says but I've no idea when AF is actually due as my periods were all over the place before going on the mini pill. Came off and have had one 29 day cycle since. Do you think they're basing the 6 days before AF on an average luteal phase of 14 days?

@PaintingOwls getting your hopes up is totally normal, I was convincing myself last month even after a bfn and the start of the horrible pre AF cramps. Hope you're not feeling too sick after the Ben and Jerry's - that's always my go to when I'm sad / fed up!

Sorry to hear about AF @PaintingOwls but goodness me, don't feel silly for feeling hopeful! We all feel hopeful! I'm pretty sure I could convince myself I can feel kicks at 2dpo if I tried hard enough 😳.

Was it cookie dough B&J? Now I'm just hungry 😬

@PaintingOwls Hope you're okay, I also got af today although had some warning with the spotting and lowering temps. Past sadness and now in a numb sort of anger at my body which apparently thinks it's fun to throw different pms symptoms at me each month so that I convince myself I'm pregnant. But getting your hopes up is natural and expected when you want something so badly and put the hours in! I want B&J now as well. Settled for half a pack of Skittles and a hot chocolate.

I'm out this cycle, CD1 today, good luck to everyone still waiting. Once I've gathered myself up, I'll get on the Feb bus- anyone know where you buy annual passes as pretty sure that'll work out cheaper for me at this point

I know exactly what you mean goldflakepaint usually I get my hopes up willy-nilly but this month I had decided I was out. Then my body played cruel tricks on me - sore boobs, late period - and then sent AF my way just as I splashed out on a FRER!

Seahawk80 there was only half a tub left so the damage I could inflict upon myself was limited.

kaytee87 I think it's based on whatever is typical for your cycle, so if you had 36 day cycles you could test on day 30 and so on.

Thought i would test today 8DPO! Obviously BFN!! It was neg at 8dpo with DD also so why did I bother 🙄🙄🙄

@HJWT how many days dpo did you get your bfp with your first? I can't remember with ds, I think I just tested at 14 days and it was positive.

I'm 8dpo just now - holding off just now.

@kaytee87 iv bought a ton of cheap tests of amazon going to save the FRER till I 'miss a period' which I doubt will be this month 🙄

I've got lots of the cheap amazon tests too so I don't feel like I'm wasting too much money but it satisfies my need to POAS! I'm 10 DPO and got a negative yesterday but didn't test today.

10dpo and not exactly sure when AF is due as ovulated late this month🤷🏼‍♀️

@bunhead34 I took a frer this morning 9dpo and it was negative too.

If you ovulated late then there's every chance you might still get a bfp.

@kaytee87 I guess there's hope for both of us! 🤞
