Our new year's resolution is to get a BFP!

I fell off the December bus today after a 34 day cycle. AF turned up this afternoon. I will be ovulating on Christmas Day by the looks of things! Hoping this means I can enjoy mulled wine etc this Christmas.

So here we go again.

Period is due Wednesday or Thursday, if I am back to a regular cycle, no symptoms of being pregnancy. Still getting discharge, are the days leading up to period usually 'dry' days sorry can't think of any other way to describe it. Still hoping to mange to hold off testing until later in the week.

I'm out AF arrived this morning so on to the February bus I go and onto cycle 4 good luck to everyone still waiting for their BFP

Cd15 and got my static smiley today so should ovulate tomorrow 🤞 dtd last night but will again tonight and maybe tomorrow too just to be on the safe side.

I got my smiley on CD17 instead of 14 this month, just glad I got it as was worried I just wouldn't ovulate!
Could be the B6 I'm taking, or the acupuncture i had last week lengthening my cycle.
Managed to DTD yesterday morning and last night too. So hope that's enough.

Got a baby shower on Saturday, and there may be a newborn there too, as well
As another friend who's just announced - I'll try not to be jealous!

Has anyone had a smear test while TTC and in the two week wait? Assume it’s fine? Just had a letter saying I’m due one.

@Til89 a nurse told me a smear was even ok whilst pregnant...

til89 I had a smear the month I got pregnant with DS. It's not a problem but it can give you some invalid results. Mine did and I got referred to gynae who had a closer look then then told me to come back after DS was born.

I was just reading through the last few pages again and saw your comment, it's so true I want to put it on a t-shirt to wear every day of the TWW

After 10 goes, ttc starts to feel like that ride at a theme park which always looked amazing when you were too short to go on it. And it was pretty exciting when you finally get to go on but now I'm bored, dizzy and just want to get off!

I've decided we'll dtd every other day from a day before to a day or so after the FW this month and if it doesn't work next month I'll use opks. DS is sleeping so badly at the moment and I'm working loads so it's pretty hard going! Need to step up and DTD tonight! Good luck to everyone!

@bunhead34 I'm ovulating today I'm sure, got static smiley yesterday morning and having ewcm today.

Have dtd 5 times this cycle, 4 of which were in the last 7 days. Will dtd again tonight and then again a couple of times in the 2ww.

Apparently sex before your fertile week helps your body not see sperm as a foreign body and after ovulation the sperm assists with successful implantation. Just a theory I've read. Also I've found that I like DH more the more we have sex

It's tends to get a bit 'functional' rather than fun (for me) by the end, if you know what I mean 🙄🍆

@bunhead34 I know what you mean by functional but still I think it's the hormones released by sex or the skin on skin contact, I swear we get on better when we're dtd lots.

Well I'm pretty sure I felt myself ovulate not long before 7pm. Fingers crossed I get a bfp in 10-14 days 🤞

So I posted on Saturday to say I got a BFN and I'm out for the count this month, however, I'm now 2 days late... which is unusual for me

I have had sore breasts and cramps in the TWW but that's usual for me on the run up to AF.

What is unusual is the amount of CM (TMI) and I cannot shake off this hacking cough Ive had for 2 weeks (immune system usually on point).

Think may pick up another test tonight...ahhh this better not be a cruel trick!!

Being ill CAN delay your period. I was one 11 days late when I had a nasty cold, I was going crazy in that time. The stress probably didn't help either!

@PaintingOwls very true! I'm rarely ill, so that could very well have thrown everything off....must remain level headed.

Hi! Would really like to join, me and DH decided we would start TTC but I only just stopped taking pill yesterday so do I need to wait a few months before TTC? Sorry, this is all new to me. :)

@littlemoon86 welcome! Everyone is different some people try straight away others don't ... I personally waited till I had a period and started taking vitamins
