Our new year's resolution is to get a BFP!

I fell off the December bus today after a 34 day cycle. AF turned up this afternoon. I will be ovulating on Christmas Day by the looks of things! Hoping this means I can enjoy mulled wine etc this Christmas.

So here we go again.

I went to the dr this morning.
I fudged it a little and said that id been ttc 9 months (actually 7).
She said that its a bit of a postcode lottery on if you get sent for testing etc and when. She said that its 18 months for tests,a and 3 year dfor IVF (!!!).
But she thinks this is way too long and is sending me for bloods and thyroid function now.
Im sure that for one of them she said to wait until day 21. But now im thinking is that for both?
I shoudl haved asked her - hindsight is a wonderful thing!

Makes sense to go for both on day 21?

Good luck with tests @bunhead34 I'm glad your GP is sympathetic.

I'm 3 or 4 dpo (can't remember) and I feel like I'm having light cramps. I almost expected AF to have a arrived when I went to the bathroom. I'm sure I'm just imagining things!

@bunhead34 I didn't get any symptoms when pregnant with DD, I'm 4DPO and iv had a few twinges and just extremely tired x

@bunhead34 We didn't have IVF with DC1. We had tests etc and we were told we had about a 2 - 3% chance of falling pregnant naturally and it was extremely unlikely. I had to lose 6lbs then we could start IVF but I was already pregnant. If we had had IVF, we may have had embryos remaining which we could have used to TTC DC2 but nope.
I am out this cycle although I could still get a BFP in Jan with next cycle so I am staying on this bus for now. I think my Ovulation day was earlier than I though given my cycle was shorter. OPKs should help me have a better idea of it this cycle.

Oh how I hate the TWW, not expecting much this month as made a minimal effort (although EOD over FW isn't too shabby when you're both exhausted!). How's everyone else holding up? AF due 22/23 jan for me so I'm going to try to wait til 24tg to test.

I'm 9 DPO. AF due 17 Jan. feeling mild cramps today but don't think it's a struggle go if anything. I don't plan to test for at least a week. I've never had symptoms before with DS or any of my MCs so hopefully AF is a no show.

My little one is coming up for 1 and he was a bit of a munchkin to conceive - 3 mcs before success! Thought we'd try and get a head start this time. Quite excited although a bit nervous to go through it all again. Also not sure how to find the time 😂 hopefully his sleep is good for the next few months!

I thought I was out for this month but I don't know. CD34, 19DPO but still getting a BFN. No sign of AF.

My boobs have been a bit sore for about a week now but I don't know what to make of that, I assumed it was a sign that AF was coming but she is 5 days late at this point.

This is so frustrating.

Im 6DPO today and feel exhausted! Just want to take a nap and I never take naps 😂

@HJWT I'm really tired too and my boobs hurt but I'm trying not to get excited as it could just be normal hormonal fluctuations.
DH is taking ds out for a couple of hours once he's up from his nap so I think I'll just lie on the couch.

I suppose I could have done, but I had a positive OPK on Christmas day and we then DTD on 27th, hence me thinking I was out and had missed it and feeling confused at the moment.

Thanks! Fairly regular, cycles go between 28 days and 33 days, alternating each month. Last cycle was a long one so I expected this to be a 28 but here I am!

I don't know what to do. I'm thinking about getting a frer as I've been using ICs to test with.

Right, I bought a First Response test. I think I'll do it tomorrow morning with FMU. I'm so nervous. What is it's negative? At least now I can hope but arghhh the uncertainty is killing me.

Good luck. My app says I should have ovulated 6 days ago but I never had a positive opk. DTD most days this month but I had a UTI this week.
I've got sore boobs but I get them just before my period anyway. 8 days til AF is due.

No symptoms here but I did have the worst headache today, I could barely think or move. Honestly the pain was as bad as labour!! I hope that's not a symptom- I don't want that to happen again!

Good luck @PaintingOwls let us know what happens - I'm CD14 got a negative OPK today last cycle got positive one on CD26 and one before was CD22 so no idea if I'll ovulate this month or not - I'm TTC #2 this will be cycle #3 also @kaytee87 going back to a much earlier comment i have to have a date scan as soon as soon as I find out I'm pg as I have to have CVS at 11 weeks to test for a genetic condition- I've seen my DD at 8 weeks and on my second pregnancy at 9 weeks they have a little food sack as the placenta doesn't form til about 10 weeks so you should be ok to drink really - I got very drunk when I was pg with my DD it was on a hen do but it was so early that I got a BFN before I went to make sure I was ok to drink even tho we weren't TTC but it turned out after my AF didn't turn up I was pg then - my daughter is fine!!

I drank 5 pints the day before I found out I was pg with DS Blushin my defence we'd been TTC for 8 months and I was being checked out for pcos and had a scan a couple of days before so I was thinking it was another month gone as I thought they would have seen something if I was. It was only in the Uber home that I thought, hmm my boobs are sore and I never normally get that! He's totally fine too!

@kaytee87 that's promising I guess! Currently in A&E as headache came back suddenly and I'd taken some strong painkillers an hour before. The pain was hideous again, that I want to crawl out of my own skin kind of pain. Hopefully it's just one of those things but thought I should get checked out as never had anything like it before and 111 said go to A&E. Plus I'd just have laid in bed googling aneurysms Confused
