hi ladies from the old TTC thread, time to start a new one you think? Its gone way past 500!

Right.go on then, a little bit of magic is fun!

am off to Glasto this weds, and aparantly its good luck to run around the stone circle 3 times.

I'm doing it once for myself and some of my TTC buddies, but if you fancy a little of the glasto luck your way... pop your name here!

(its only a bit of fun!)

Poor fi and gilly!
Sorry to hear you are both feeling crap.
Feeling a bit shit myself. Convinced my body is malfunctioning and that I'm not ovulating. Dh says I need to get a grip!
All this waiting and wondering is driving me around th twist! I like order and control but this is one thing I can't predict. Does anyone else feel that way?

treeny, do you go to the gym? the reason i ask is because excercise is great for beating the blues, it also gets you in tip top shape for ttc!

I do running (not as much as i used to because i got a bit lazy after the marasthon) but it clears my head and makes me feel good.

dont worry about your body, worrying only makes things worse. you'll be fine. Its your first month like me my lovely, dont worry so much, its going to take time.

For the record.yes.im a control freak too, but this is something way out of anyones control.

Beaten you there... although not surprised due to lack of action this month.

Have started diet though, so feeling a bit more positive, even though yesterday didn't quite go to plan (mainly due to lack of sleep as dh faffed about until he came to bed at 12.30 and then started to read (soon put a stop to that) then ds woke at 4.45 and then ended up coming back to bed with us, fidgeting, kicking, sticking fingers where they shouldn't be (mainly my nose and mouth) and pulling my hair) - what a lot you've all got to look forward to!).

Fi - surgery sounds crap if you can't make appointment in advance for that sort of thing - although on the other extreme, can sometimes wait several weeks before get an appointment with the required nurse/doctor at a convenient time.

Treenie I hope you don't have to wait as long as we did if you're getting this wound up already! I hope so anyway. But don't get too down if it doesn't work very soon, it doesn't mean that it won't in the end.

fifilou · 27/06/2007 15:00

thanks mistlethrush, sorry your af came (is this what you meant by beating me,)

Bring on the toddlers in bed sticking their fingers up my nose! I cant wait for it to happen to me, hope it does soon.

Yuk....feel so rough. Off to school run now ladies....see you soon.

Hi girls!! Having a fab time on holiday! Cd9 no surge on ovulation tests yet but bding like mad!!

I can just about access the site whilst the number of posts is still low but once it gets bigger I may not be able to..

Hello everyone! I'm with you on feeling jealous - everyone seems to be either pregnant or with a baby - I'm totally jealous!! On miscarriage - my mate lost twins recently and as hard as it is to talk about it I try and talk about her babies with her as much as she wants as it's too big a thing to pretend like it didn't happen -but she has found lots of people refuse to mention it - people are weird - they are more bothered about not feeling uncomfortable themselves rather than the poor person who has just lost a baby that they've been carrying for months!! Anyway rant over!!

Hope you are all well an bding like mad

Hoping the glastonbury running works for us all

Hi treenie! Hols are fab! Sorry you didn't get a surge - sounds like they may not always work.. I've been testing at 3 every day - should I be testing twice a day?

Gilly - I'm in spain an sorry to say that the weather is glorious!!

Bit worried that I'm drinking too much if I did get pregnant but on the basis that I don't reckon it will happen - I'm trying not to worry too much..

Treenie - me and you sound very like minded -total stress head control freaks

Treenie · 27/06/2007 16:51

Thanks for the support on the OPK - I've really been worrying. And feel free to talk to us about the miscarriage. People have no right to sweep it under the carpet. That was your precious baby and you deserve the chance to talk about as much as you like. Am always here if you want someone to listen.
Great that you are moving to London - you'll love it. Have been here four years now so if you want to know anything - shopping, restuarants or anything at all really - just ask. It's a bit of a huge scary place at first till you settle in but you will. I moved here on my tod and met dh three months later - thank goodness. Was quite lonely at first even though I had lots of mates. Do you have a job set up down here? Sorry if you've already told us that and I've forgotten - so much to keep track of on here!

Toomuch I love that we are as mad as each other! Really hoping we get preggers at the same time then we can worry sick about everything together!

toomuchtimeonline · 27/06/2007 16:56

Treenie - fingers crossed we all get pregnant at our next ovulation!!

I'm worried about opks now - when does everyone think I should test - I'm cd9 now and have tested at 3pm last 2 days..

Treenie · 27/06/2007 17:07

Toomuch if you have a 28 day cycle, ov on day 14 then you are prob too early, but since you don't know I would say keep going and don't worry yet. Am on day 21 and still nothing. But I think I missed the surge. The first time I used these I did it in the morning and it worked so did the same this time and nothing.
really the best thing to do is just keep at it and that way you won't miss ov when it happens. Test more if you like though cause it is possible for it to be all over in 12 hours I read somewhere. Have a look at peeoneastick.com
So maybe pick another time of day, maybe late at night and try then too.
Hope that helps

So Gilly you reckon I could quite easily have missed the surge?
I keep worrying that I haven't ov at all, but I reckon that's not that common really - or is it?
What signs do you get that you are ov?

Hello all,
Gilly - could you have had a anovulatory (not ov-ing) cycle? Apparently they happen occasionally.
toomuch - glad you're getting some sun, can you bring us some back? Stick to OPK testing mid afternoon and see how you go for this cycle.
fi - can't believe that your docs is so crap. You have to book smear at mid cycle point, so you need to book it in advance, don't they understand that? getting on your behalf.
bella - how are you doing? Come back to see us, I miss you.
ready - same goes, where are you? Miss the old crowd (no offence to new crowd )
PE - nice to hear from you, glad all's going well for you, will you put the scan on your profile for us?
everyone else - hello

BellaBear · 27/06/2007 19:49

nomore here I am!

I am lurkmastergeneral at the moment, all over mumsnet. My typical evening goes:

  • get out of school as soon as I can. I'm not really doing my job as properly as I have once done. ahem.
  • drive home (walk to the station far too fatiging))
  • turn on laptop and television
  • consider carefully which foods I could a) eat and b) be arsed to buy or prepare

hours pass

I go bed.

All the fun! Feeling sick, tired, lazy, and the whole sense of smell think stinks (pardon the pun) - for a few days I was wondering why everyone seems to have forgotten to wash and wear deodorant before I twigged. Obviously, it is all great. really. Roll on 26th July (scan) and hopefully I'll start to feela bit better (and more positive!)

How is everyone else?? I'll pass on some good luck fertility hormones to you all!

nomoremagnolia · 27/06/2007 19:58

HELLO!!!
Good to hear from you, glad you're still lurking. All those symptoms sound positive - real proper pregnancy stuff!!
I've found myself spending a whole evening on mn lurking around active convos!

BellaBear · 27/06/2007 20:15

I'll see your one evening and raise you ... four in a row!

nomoremagnolia · 27/06/2007 20:19

ha ha!
but you've got an excuse to sit down all evening, I haven't!
Actually today is day 2 in a row, so I'm hot on your tail! Have been known to spend best part of a whole sat afternoon on here...

Treenie · 28/06/2007 09:57

Hi Ladies
how are we all today?
I am so much happier. Had ov pains all yesterday, tingly boobs today and now lots of mucus - tmi I know! So reckon I am oving!
So pleased because I was convinced it was never going to happen! Obviously want to get preggers this month but even if it doesn't happen I'll still be happy just knowing my cycle is back on track.
Have decided opk are not for me - way to stressful and better to look for natural signs.

However, being an insesent worrier, I am now concerned that poor old dh will have run out of sperm for bding today! Have been doing it at least once a day for the past week so think he may have run out! Is that possible?! Am I mad?! er yes! How long to sperm live?

Nomore and bella - totally know what you mean about being addicted to mn - dh has told me I have to stop posting on here and do some work! And I am so not an 'internet person'. No facebook, myspace etc. But love it here!

And hello to the preggies! So lovely that you pop back in. You inspire us and hope be joining you soon!
