hi ladies from the old TTC thread, time to start a new one you think? Its gone way past 500!

Right.go on then, a little bit of magic is fun!

am off to Glasto this weds, and aparantly its good luck to run around the stone circle 3 times.

I'm doing it once for myself and some of my TTC buddies, but if you fancy a little of the glasto luck your way... pop your name here!

(its only a bit of fun!)

this was my earlier post.

'....just wanted to send you all good luck as the thread caught my eye.

I conceived dd1 after 3 yrs, when we camped at a campsite very near the actual Glasotonbury Tor.

It realy has magical properties, and I woud reccomend it. We went to the goddess spring, i meanthe Chalice Well and I wished and wished for my baby. I was fertile that weekend, and hadnt ever known we were going for a trip to Glastonbury.

The we walked up the Tor, my ex dh did it bare foot, to connect with the land! ...
'
its a positive story.
one month later my period was late.

toomuchtimeonline · 11/07/2007 13:17

PM - it is gloomy isn't it! and they think it's going to mixed like this all July . I don't have any spots yet - can't believe I'm wishing I had spots..

Treenie - Sorry to hear about the veins. Have they just arrived or have you just noticed them?

Pirategirl - ta! Hopefully Fi's trip to Glasto will have worked for us all

PinkMartini · 11/07/2007 13:55

Don't be jealous of my zitty chin!
Stupidly have just done a cheapo test even though it's only um, 12dpo or something. BFN
Don't know what possessed me.
Not giving up hope entirely but....

mistlethrush · 11/07/2007 14:39

I've got a spot too! BUt definitely due to bfp - dh's excuse this month is that he has 'pulled a muscle' - how convenient!

Quite sunny up here at the moment, although started overcast, so hope that its not so gloomy with you now.

evergrounded · 11/07/2007 14:42

Hello everyone- it's great to have found you on this TTC your first thread. Am feeling really this morning, as AF arrived late last night, after a few days of bizarre spotting that I had thought might be implantation bleeding. Silly me! I knew I shouldnt have got my hopes up again...but this implantation bleeding thing really is a nightmare, as it has you thinking that you might be preggers, and then dashes all your hopes when evil Auntie Flo arrives!

This is month 7 of TTC and I know its way too early to start worrying, but I cant help it! I was on the pill for 9 years, and my doctor said that her rule of thumb is that for every year you have been on the pill, it can take that many months to get pregnant, i.e. 9 years = 9 months. Not sure how much I believe this, as I've also heard that you can be extra fertile when you first come off the pill...

trying to stay cheerful and positive anyway! Anyone else on TTC month 7?

PinkMartini · 11/07/2007 16:08

Hi Evergrounded and welcome
I wasn't on the pill for very long (a few month for my wedding) so can't help with the months/years TTC formula - but I'm a good 4 cycle in (i'm trying not to count too much!)

I know that feeling but you're in the right place, everyone here will keep you company and knows what you're going through.

PinkMartini · 11/07/2007 16:11

Hello! How are you!? Like the name change - is there a panto theme I missed??!

V encouraging about the BFN post holiday. Am holding on and keeping legs, toes and fingers crossed but trying not to get hopes up too if that makes sense.

PinkMartini · 11/07/2007 16:12

oops wrong thread!

toomuchtimeonline · 11/07/2007 16:28

PM - lol at your crossed post.. as everyone looks at who you are waving at .

Don't get too disheartened - it may just be a BFN becuase you were too early - fingers crossed!

EverG - Hi!! Don't like the sound of your doctor's formula as I was on the pill for 15 years or so I'm pinning my hopes on the fact that some people say you are uber fertile when you come off the pill

kensgirl · 11/07/2007 17:25

hello all..!

just saying hello, as i am supposedto be preparing a presentatio, but really I'm looking for a holiday and cooking dinner, and then avoiding that to visit MN! Oh, what a tangled web I weave.....

CD 9 for me today, 7 months but 9th cycle since mc. I can't remember who asked, but somebody did.I'm feeling a bit twingy in the nipple area (sorry ), with a few cramps on my right side, so I think I'm gearing up for ov, but cervix is stil low. Oh, how do I know? I'll just have to cover all bases iykwim!

Hello to everyone that is new! hope everyone elsi is OK!

nomoremagnolia · 11/07/2007 18:30

Hi girls,
can't stay long, just saying hi really.
BB and treenie - good luck with the not testing, here's hoping that by waiting you'll get a definite BFP Look forward to some news early next week (we must be due some more BFPs on this thread)
evergrounded I was on the pill for 6 years, all for no reason now it seems. oh well

mistlethrush · 11/07/2007 22:06

Has anyone seen Fi recently?

Drowning sorrows in wine this evening (not too much, but no chance this month by the look of things, so why not?)

On the positive front, definitely think that I've lost some weight which is a good step. Looking forward to getting back into some of my clothes that I've not been in since pre ds!

(anyone new to this thread, I'm an interloper as have 1ds but would rather like #2 and have now been considering this for c. 12 months - mc in Autumn...).

BabyBratt · 12/07/2007 09:46

Evergrounded Don't worry, this is my 8 or 9 month ttc, People tell you not to worry but I started worrying at cycle 6. This website helps loads and we discuss absolutely everything. Stuff you would never discuss in RL.

I have been looking around other threads for Fi and I have not seen her.

If AF does not arrive on Saturday I am going to test on Monday, how many of us are testing on Monday?

Im on CD28 12 DPO.

Treenie my mum has varicose veins - do things like that run in families? You know I will be checking my legs in a minute.

toomuchtimeonline · 12/07/2007 10:29

Hello all - I'm CD25 approx DPO 9! Not sure when to test.. I know I should probably wait until next weekend but I have a party on Saturday night so keen to give it a quick go on Saturday - just in case..

What is everyone doing about drinking during the 2ww? It's not about wanting to drink necessarily - it's more about not giving away that I'm TTC IYSWIM - once I'm definitely pregnant then I'm probably going to avoid social events that would give it away until I'm past the 12 week stage -but don't really want to put my life on hold while TTC.. I guess what I'm trying to say is - do you think it I should drink on Saturday night? And if so how much? Is 2 glasses of wine too much? phew - that was a rant

BB You're very restrained to wait until Monday

MT - I think Fi said in an earlier thread that she had the boys for 2weeks hols or something so she wouldn't have time to post.. she was in her 2ww though so maybe she's had some news and is too excited to come on line - fingers crossed.

[waves at nomore] - how are you doing?

Kensgirl - good luck with the bding

PM - have you refrained from testing again?

Treenie - how you going? any new symptoms? Sorry if TMI but I'm feeling fairly constipated.. which may be just because of my recent hols - but I have also read can be a sign of pregnancy.. here's hoping

It's so gloomy again in London - hope the sun comes out for the weekend

BabyBratt · 12/07/2007 10:36

Who am I kidding you know a cheeky test my slip in the shopping basket. Trying my hardest.

I believe the baby does not share our blood supply during the 2ww. I have my DH parents down on Saturday to celebrate my FIL birthday so I will be drinking, not to excess because I have to be up to cook the breakfast the morning after.

toomuchtimeonline · 12/07/2007 11:05

BB - ha ha! I succumbed to buying 4 first response tests on the internet on Tuesday and they've already arrived.. oops.. Just know I'll test on Saturday! Once I get my BFN on Saturday I'm going to try and be restrained until next Saturday after that as I don't have any nights out in the diary..

Glad to hear you're having a few bevvies too - makes me feel a little less guilty! Think I might try and stick to one glass of wine but just don't want them to guess as there are work colleagues there.

fifilou · 12/07/2007 11:16

hi ladies!

Have been so busy its school hols and being full time nanny during hols get hardly anytine to myself, so have just dived in here quiclky while the boys are playing nicely in the playroom.

Im all swollen like a big potato, but no other symptoms other than nausea in the evenings.

im now lost where i am (help please!)

fifilou · 12/07/2007 11:19

also....and this is weird, my legs and back ache constantly and when i get up from crouching my legs feel like theyre going to give way! Weird?

OP posts:
toomuchtimeonline · 12/07/2007 11:53

Fi - Hi [big wave] - do you have any idea when you ovulated? You're CD 42 - but it depends how many days DPO you are.. You're symptoms sound promising though

Treenie · 12/07/2007 12:02

Fi - that all sounds promising. You need to go to your docs cause they can do a blood test and give you an answer one way or the other. Was with my best friend yesterday who said after she came off the pill she had a withdrawl bleed and then nothing for 45 days so, not meaning to be killjoy cause that is def not my style, it could be that. Get to the docs lady!

Toomuch - no testing. Really really not worth the disapointment sweetie. Wait till you are three or four days late at least. That's what I've been reading anyway. If you are then you will be if that makes sense and af will not turn up and then you'll know for sure. Don't put yourself threw it.
Constipation is good though! Isn't it funny how we are all desperate to feel like shit?! And don't worry about TMI - it's never been a prob with me. Think I put my bf off her lunch yesterday with all my rancid chat!

BB you must be on tenderhooks now my dear. Not long to go though eh? How long is you LP usually? Same goes for you with the testing - wait - it will be worth it.

MT - well done on the weight loss! Keep up the good work!

Am on CD38 now and woke up to find a few brown spots on the pjs so really hoping that is a good sign - I never spot - always bright red straight away.
Back ache, cramps etc last night too. Here's hoping! Still not testing till monday though just in case I oved later than I thought. But that would def take me past dpo15 even if I did ov really late.
Getting a wee bit excited now!

Hope everyone else is doing OK?
x

mistlethrush · 12/07/2007 12:12

Toomuch - White wine spritzers are a great drink to be seen having, particularly if you make them up yourself - this way you can probably eek out one glass of wine into 4 drinks - and its 'nice and summery' isn't it - I mean, something has to be as the weather certainly isn't.

Fi - glad to hear from you at last, fingers crossed!

BTW, I had a bag of ready to eat prunes in the cupboard - and a bag of figs- so much nicer to be able to control things naturually with something that is nice to eat as well... (hope that a lot of you can benefit from this tip in the v near future)

toomuchtimeonline · 12/07/2007 13:29

MT - I'll try to have spritsers but as a girl who usually drinks lots of glasses of wine I don't want to arouse suspicion

Treenie - CD38 and still no sign - it's such a long time to wait isn't it

BabyBratt · 12/07/2007 13:51

My LP phase is 14/15 days or it has been for the past two months.

I really feel like AF is on its way but I live in hope. I am up and down like a lift today.

Treenie I cannot believe you are CD38 and you still have your sanity.

It took me 6 months after coming off the mini pill to settle into a 28/30 day cycle.

Fi it is so good to see you again I had started to worry a little.

One of my gym buddies has just left her husband, he has announced that he does not want to have a family. Apparently he said he would want them after they were married but he has now changed his mind!! She is 34 and desperate to have a family. They were so perfect together. Im really sad for her.

toomuchtimeonline · 12/07/2007 14:10

BB - god that's a nightmare for your friend! She must be devastated!

BabyBratt · 12/07/2007 14:18

She is not really talking about it yet, They have been together for about 10 years. We are all shocked but my best friend who is part of the gym crew said she had suspected something was up. It is really sad, we just have to be there for her apparently they had not had sex since last Nov and she has been on medication and put over 3 stone on. I really can't believe it.
