hi ladies from the old TTC thread, time to start a new one you think? Its gone way past 500!

Right.go on then, a little bit of magic is fun!

am off to Glasto this weds, and aparantly its good luck to run around the stone circle 3 times.

I'm doing it once for myself and some of my TTC buddies, but if you fancy a little of the glasto luck your way... pop your name here!

(its only a bit of fun!)

You could always try the red wine test (if you like red wine) - only use a small glass, then if it doesn't work, you won't feel guilty that you're drinking too much - but don't count on it working for you either. You need DH also to like red wine and be a monitor, otherwise you might just have got a crappy bottle of wine!

mistlethrush · 09/07/2007 16:40

BB - yes, re Treenie, doesn't it make you

Re sickness - my morning sickness didn't arrive until about 9.30am and I would quite often go to bed still feeling sick, so not a good name. And eating was the only way not to throw-up (I opted for eating 1st time round - if there is #2 I might opt for throwing up so that I don't put so much weight on and hopefully don't have such a whopper (ds=10/5 1wk early)) And yes, things do taste different/strange

Fingers crossed!

BabyBratt · 09/07/2007 16:57

Yes, I bet Treenie is one of those who has a lovely tight bump I will end up huge!

Treenie you are lovely and tall aswell. I bet you are a fab clothes horse.

I may opt for the sickness if it saves me putting on tons of weight.

Even though the mind is cruel I'll still keep my fingers crossed

mistlethrush · 09/07/2007 17:12

I'm with you there - was whale like! Although I did manage to walk the dog up to the day before ds was born...

I'm also 5'8, but havn't seen 9st in a long time , and not even remotely trying to get there! Would be happy at a bit above that as look fine at that weight and just about achievable - when they see me people don't realise how much I weigh!

BabyBratt · 09/07/2007 17:21

Seen as though this is not RL I will let you in on a closely guarded secret, Im 10st 5 and 5ft 6inchs but Im in proportion so people do not realise how heavy I am but my BMI is ok according to the doctor.

My mum lost a stone in her 1st weeks of pregnancy because she was so ill.

toomuchtimeonline · 09/07/2007 17:50

I'm taller than Treenie but 11stone5

BB - hope your signs turn out to be good news!

nomoremagnolia · 09/07/2007 18:29

I'm 1" shorter than BB and weigh more than toomuch. BMI of 27.9 (was weighed at fertility centre today) but I was weighed with my clothes on! I'm nearer 25.5 BMI (still slightly in the overweight category though ) (but 1/2 stone of that is my boobs )

Appointment went well - they've given me clomid to make sure I ov and they want us back in 6 months if nothing happens before then (he said 80% of couples get pg on clomid in our circumstances, so fingers crossed)

BB - fingers crossed - it sounds very hopeful
Treenie - "Reckon I am dpo 13 today. Think I want to wait a few more days and if AF doesn't arrive I'll test - don't want to see any BFN unecessarily - one way or the other IYSWIM?
Toomuch if I was you I'd wait till you are dpo 14 cause it avoids dissapointment. I know a lot of people say they get BFP four days before af is due but a lot also don't." Glad the fairy has taught you something. Look at those stats for DPO and likelyhood of BFP if you need the incentive not to test.
Fingers crossed for those of you nearing testing - we haven't had a ttc no1 BFP since bella
Hi pink martini - welcome back

kensgirl · 09/07/2007 21:20

Good luck to the girlies nearly ready to test!
Heres hoping we have a sudden rush of bfps's.

Helo there, Pinkmartini! Hlad your hols were good. I have read of lots of people who bring home a souvenir baby, hope you do!

Hmmm, weight? I weigh 8 stone 12 now, on my wedding day last year, it was 8 stone 7, so would like to get back to that, some picies on profile if anyone is interested. I've been trying to be good, as I.m only 5 foot 3, so can't carry any extra flabbage. I'm cutting down on the treats, and tring smaller portions, and putting a bit of extra oomph into general moving around. we're going on holiday in August, so I have a red poka dot bikini that I neeeeeed to look passable in..

Everyone OK?

mistlethrush · 09/07/2007 21:53

Every one getting ready to test, make sure that you've got a spare one - you might need to take a 2nd opinion - when it comes to it, you sometimes don't believe the first fairy!

Nomore - I had a friend that was sucessful with clomid, so here's hoping.

toomuchtimeonline · 10/07/2007 10:37

Nomore - that's great news - I had a friend on Clomid who conceived first try! Also it really helps with timing as you know exactly when you are going to ovulate

Kensgirl - love your wedding dress!!

Treenie - any news? I'm guessing you must have tested again this morning..

Fi - where are you..

Hello everyone else!

Treenie · 10/07/2007 11:13

I tell you I go home early with out my laptop and I miss all of this!

Nomore that is great news about the appointment. Very chuffed to hear that you are finally getting some positive news - you deserve it after all this time.

BB you are such a doll - thanks for saying such nice things. I've just had a look at your picture and you look stunning. Chuck out the ruddy scales and look in the mirror!
And I'm so optimistic for you. You know what I think is the best sign - the back ache. Do you usually get that? I've been getting really bad lower back pain on an off so have done loads of googling and apparently it's a really good sign. And this is the time when you would be getting it after implantation.
And don't worry about looking silly if your af appears - we are not here to judge or scoff - we are here to support and encourage. And for what it's worth - with what the nurse said and all the symptoms - I think you are on to a winner!

Kensgirl - you to look so lovely in your wedding dress. How's things with you? What CD are you on.

MT - I think I may finally have passed your 'off the wine' test! Really didn't feel like it last night! Hurrah!

Toomuch - how you doing? No testing yet I hope?!

OK can I give you my update. Now on CD36 - never had a cycle this long even when coming off the pill.
Had funny twinges and back ache last night so though af was on her merry way but nothing. So Treenie's lovely dh says do a test this morning - and not just any old test - a clear blue digital test! And nothing, nada siltch! A BFN! Now that must be at least dpo 13 today - even if I give myself a day or so leeway.
What the f**k is going on I ask you?!
Have the veiny boobs and everything. Is it poss that it would show up by now or am I kidding myself?

Nomore where can I find the stats on when to test? Off to trawl google now.

x

mistlethrush · 10/07/2007 11:21

Treenie - I've not tried the digital - but I assume its either p or n and nowhere in the middle - whilst bf can be very faint (or is that feint?). Anyway, fingers crossed for you and BB.

Kensgirl - great photos!

Treenie · 10/07/2007 11:29

Ladies just read this and it's given me hope. Have a look. I reckon that the tests say 'can tell up to 4 days before af due' because they know we all want to know asap and therefore will test too early, have to buy more and make more cash for the companies. Not testing again till next week if af still hasn't arrived. Determined now!

nomoremagnolia · 10/07/2007 11:39

treenie - percentages of those who get their BFPs on set dpo are as follows:
10dpo=35%
11dpo=51%
12dpo=62%
13dpo=68%
14dpo=74%
15dpo=80%
16dpo=88%
17dpo=92%
and there are some who have not got their BFP until 21dpo
So wait as long as you can before testing. The only way you know it's a BFN for certain is when AF arrives. GOOD LUCK!!

Treenie · 10/07/2007 11:43

Thanks for that Nomore - really appreciate it. I'm just going to wait and see. So hard though! Will keep you posted!
x

toomuchtimeonline · 10/07/2007 14:33

God this is so hard - I'm feeling twinges and stuff now! I know it is probably in my head but I can't stop thinking about it!

I don't know how you girls have survived for months!! Treenie and I are going bonkers and its only month 1!!

Treenie · 10/07/2007 14:50

Toomuch I know what you mean. But you are right to notice twinges as if you are still trying next month (which we hope you won't be) you'll know what is normal for you and what is different.
For example, for me when cramps and twinges start they are soon followed by af - they never go away and come back again several times before af arrives - hence the reason I think something is different this month.
It's good to get to know your own bod.
Also my nipples are def getting bigger. By that I mean the aeorla (spelling?!) is spreading downwards I think. Lighter than the original shape, but def there. That makes them sound minging but you know what I mean!
So get checking those boobs too! Any veinyness or pain for you?

To give you a laugh - and to prove the extent of my madness - I managed to find some photos of cervixs on Google! I mean what the f**k?! Showed what it looked like before af, during ov etc - but what use is that to me when I can't see my ruddy cervix! Can just imagine dh's reaction if I asked him to check it out with a speculum!

See Toomuch, just when you thought you were going crazy you can feel glad that you are not as mad as me!

toomuchtimeonline · 10/07/2007 15:15

Treenie - you are funny! I haven't noticed anything with my boobs yet although DH thinks they are bigger.. don't think they are though..

I have no idea what my body normally does in a cycle - having been on the pill for 15 years this is all knew to me - it's very exciting but on the other hand I just want to know whether I'm pregnant or not!

toomuchtimeonline · 10/07/2007 15:49

I obviously meant new rather than knew .. maybe it's pregnancy mush brain

BabyBratt · 11/07/2007 09:30

Hi Ladies

Toomuch and Treenie you can be more fertile when you come off the pill.

I have everything crossed for everyone.

I don't normally have backache but I've been doing this for a while now and I am really trying to keep my feet on the floor.

I did something really silly I tested this is the first month I've ever tested before AF is due and it was BFN. So I was pleased to read your threads Treenie.

Also thankyou for thinking Im lovely!! Although I do not look like it today. My skin is fighting the urge to admit that I am 30, Im full of spots!!

pirategirl · 11/07/2007 09:37

sorry for my ignorance, what does dpo stand for?

I keep loking at this thread with fingers crossed.

I conceived after 3 yrs of trying at Glastinbury Tor, see my post way down the list.

take care.

Treenie · 11/07/2007 10:09

BB - spots are a very good sign! And don't feel silly for testing - I've done way more than I've actually admitted to on here - whoops!
I know what you mean about trying to stay grounded but looks like you have some good symptoms so feel positive at least.

Pirate - DPO is days past ovulation. The time in which the egg would be fertilising and implanting. Thanks for keeping your fingers crossed for us. Nice to all support on offer.

Toomuch - fingers crossed it's baby brain! Have walked into the door way in our bathroom four times this week so either I'm up the duff of just a complete twit - stubbed toes really hurt!

Am now on CD37. Really thought af was coming last night. Cramps, twinges etc and a very sore lower back but nothing. Still not testing till Monday though! That will be CD42 for me if af doesn't arrive and that would be unheard of for me.

Hello to everyone else!

toomuchtimeonline · 11/07/2007 10:10

Pirategirl - DPO - i think - is days past ovulation.. Are you TTC? Sorry couldn't find your earlier thread..

BB - I hope all of your signs are good news - got my fingers crossed for you!

Treenie - how are you going?

Hello to everyone else!!! How are we all feeling this gloomy wednesday morning?

Is it time for a new question do you think?

PinkMartini · 11/07/2007 10:47

Hello
I am q busy with work this gloomy Wednesday - what happened to summer?! But never too busy to have a quick look here!

Are spots a good sign? I too am quite spotty - all round my chin which is meant to be hormones isn't it?

So either a reaction to the tan-prolonger I've been using, AF or maybe a BFP in the making?

I'm going to test on Monday if AF hasn't comeby then too.

Treenie · 11/07/2007 10:51

PM - spots are a good sign I think but also a sign of af so I really don't know my dear - at this stage anything is a sign of anything IYSWIM?! Driving me nuts! Hang on in there.

OK I have another cracker for you. You know the crampy pain I was getting in my leg last week? Well now have some rather blue noticed varicose veins! Great! Run in family and now have them all over my left calf along with red spidery veins. Now what the hell is that?! Anyone else have them?
