hi ladies from the old TTC thread, time to start a new one you think? Its gone way past 500!

Right.go on then, a little bit of magic is fun!

am off to Glasto this weds, and aparantly its good luck to run around the stone circle 3 times.

I'm doing it once for myself and some of my TTC buddies, but if you fancy a little of the glasto luck your way... pop your name here!

(its only a bit of fun!)

Just been staring at it for the past five mins and you are right fi. Feeling mega pissed off with myself and fed up and stupid. I think when you really want something you can imagine it.
Off for a cupa and a kitkat to cheer myself up. No more testing for me until next Friday.

Thanks though fi - I did need to hear the truth just don't want it to be that.

Fi you are a wee star! Nice to know I'm not alone and the only one who is going a bit round the bend!
I reckon you have a longer cycle than you think. Have you had any ov pain? feels like cramps - maybe down one side and in your back to. Can be mild or really achy.
That's a good sign. But you know as long as you are bding a lot you won't miss ovulation as there will be loads of sperm there - that's what is keeping me going anyway.

nomoremagnolia · 28/06/2007 19:07

Um Treenie - I may be asking the blindingly obvious, but what did you expect to see on a HPT on cd 23/4 of a 33 day cycle? (and only 1 day after you think you ov'd?)
The earliest HPTs can only detect pg four days before af due (and they're not that brilliant really as what they mean by 4 days before af is 10 days after ov, regardless of the length of LP)

Not good news from my doc's - test show I didn't ov. Now I'm no biology whizz, but I do know that to make a baby you need an egg and a sperm, so not looking good. She's referred us to the hospital fertility centre but we don't know if I never ov or if it's an anovulatory cycle. ARGGH!

mistlethrush · 28/06/2007 23:11

Ready / Nomore ((((hugs)))).

Sorry you're not feeling great at the moment - but it can happen, even if you can't imagine it at the moment - look at me, top of NHS IVF list twice, and now ds to show for it (although not via IVF - I think I work well under pressure).

I think stress is not good - 2nd time worked when I resigned from a job that I was not enjoying - not a great way to start a new job, knowing that you're pregnant, but it all worked out OK.

Got to go, wailing upstairs (ds rather than DH I think).

Fingers crossed for everyone. Fingers crossed for me this coming month for #2 18months on...

fifilou · 29/06/2007 10:09

oh girls.its all a bit ofa downer this week hey? Lets all have a big glass of wine this wknd and try to remain positive.

sorry about your results nomore, but look at it positivly, something is being done and you ARE progressing, not just standing still.

big love and hugs xx

Nomoremagnolia - What tests did you have done? So far I have had my progesterone and thyroid checked. What was your prog level, if you don't mind me asking? I'd CAT you but I'm a miser who hasn't set up the facility Do you chart your temp? Because I think that might help you see if you are ovulating. I know that it's not always accurate, but it gives a good indication. Worth a try perhaps?

mistlethrush - Thanks for your optimism, mine is seriously lacking at the moment.

fifilou - I am tempted to drown my sorrows this weekend!

treenie - Promise me, no more early testing!!

koocoo - I think that as a genereal rule, if the man has a low sperm count then it is not advised to do it every day.

Everyone else - hope all is well. I am still down in the dumps. Just playing the waiting game... CD1 on the horizon, before the day is out.

toomuchtimeonline · 29/06/2007 12:20

Hello everyone!

Big hugs nomore!! Try an keep your chin up! If you're not ovulating it may just be a case of taking clomid (sp!?) And then you may fall first month!! At least you're fining out what's happening and moving in the right direction..

Treenie - hope you're feeling ok! Hopefully you'll fall this month - you never know - but if you don't we'll have to make a pact to be calmer next month

Ready - sorry to hear you're down.. You were the ray of light on this thread a few months ago - I hope you start feeling more positive soon! Got everything crossed for you to fall soon (and everyone else on here!!)

Fi - the big glass of wine route has definitely been my preferre option!! I figure I've got a whole year or so to be sober when pregnant and breatfeeding so I'm chilling and relaxing with a couple of vinos on holiday

Mistlet - how are you stress levels at the moment then? Hopefully low so that dc2 comes along soon

Scorpio - how's it going? Any luck yet?

Hello everyone else - and sending you some spanish sun as I hear it's a bit wet over in the uk

nomoremagnolia · 29/06/2007 13:06

toomuch - glad you are enjoying the sun, we could do with some here. don't think I will fall naturally ever as DH has low morphology of sperm, but thanks for the sentiment!
ready - have cat-ed you (I'm not a miser!) reply if you like, I won't be offended if you don't! (some people don't like being 'unmasked') Don't know what my levels were, she just spent ages asking if I had 28 day cycle (like I'd already told I do) and then she finally said that the test showed no ov, but that everything else was normal.
fi - I started on the wine last night, when DH took me out for a chinese meal to cheer me up.
everyone else - cheers

BabyBratt · 29/06/2007 13:39

Im on CD14 and my ov tests are giving the faintest lines (I might be seeing things) and I have no mucus, bet you are all please you know that! Im wondering if having two of the most stressful weeks of my life may be causing me not to ovulate.

Plus Im getting a cold sore which means I am really run down. My skin is a right mess I think my skin is in denial that I am 30 it still thinks Im a teenager.

Im really fed up and just so tired of ttc and the emotional up and downs that go with it.

On the positive side the shop may have been robbed but we are not flooded yet, although they have forecast more rain fingers crossed it wont get us but getting in and out of Sheffield is a nightmare at the minute.

toomuch please send us some spanish sun we need it. I hope you are enjoying just relaxing.

toomuchtimeonline · 29/06/2007 14:14

Nomore - I thought that low morphology meant that there were less viable sperm - but still some viable sperm - and since it only takes one does that not mean it might happen? Or have they told you it's no go? Sorry - I'm new to all this so don't really know the science! Trying to remain positive for you - I'm a big believer in little miracles - you never know!

Bb - sending sunshine your way and hope the rain doesn't get your poor shop!!

nomoremagnolia · 29/06/2007 14:49

you're right it's not impossible, just very unlikely. It's just me being miserable and over-dramatic. Ignore me!

Treenie · 29/06/2007 17:31

Toomuch and Fi - being new to all this like me you will love this website! Have a look. Have convinced myself I have all the symptoms!
Hope you're have a lovely hol Toomuch.

toomuchtimeonline · 29/06/2007 17:47

Nomore - oh nomore I didn't mean that - you be as gloomy as you need to.. I was just trying think positively for you! Having said that - when you read the miracle stories it is normally when people give up that they get a bfp - sorry if my being optimistic is annoying! I can't imagine what you're going through waiting for so long - I'm only in month 1 so haven't got a clue!

Having a lovely time treenie! Will look at you website when I get back as at cd12 I'm no where near a 2ww symptom spotting yet.. You're all ahead of me..

nomoremagnolia · 29/06/2007 19:46

toomuch - your optimism is not annoying, I'm glad you are so positive, you're taking Ready's role while she's down. I really belong in the Hut at the mo.
Sorry to bring the thread down, hope you're enjoying your holiday!

toomuchtimeonline · 30/06/2007 11:02

Don't apologise! I was just checking I wasn't being irritating..

I hope you start feeling better soon - big hugs!

nomoremagnolia · 01/07/2007 21:21

Thanks toomuch. Feeling a bit better today, although AF is here Just playing the waiting game for an appointment at the hospital now, should be sometime in the next 4 weeks.

It's very quiet on here, where are you all?

toomuchtimeonline · 01/07/2007 22:22

I'm around - just been quiet on here .. Thought you may all be in the hut..

Glad you're feeling a bit better!

Treenie · 02/07/2007 07:50

Hi guys
been avoiding mn as on my 2w wait and being on here makes me even more of a mad symptom spotter - trailing through all threads looking for what other people had!
Reckon I am now 6dpo so going to test on Friday.
TMI alert! Had very tingling nipples which are bit red and strange crampy pains along with shooting pains (but not that sore IYSWIM?) down my left side - which I think is the one I oved from. Just very aware of that area. Lots of creamy CM too - yuck!
Been feeling tired too and a tiny bit queezy but I reckon that is the excitment of it all.
I think I 'feel pregnant' cause I've never had any of this before but it could all be in my head!
What do you think? So hard having nothing to compare it too - must be easier to tell second time around.
Argh! It's a long wait till Friday!

Nomore I'm really sorry to hear how fed up you are - not surprising. But at least the ball is rolling and you are taking positive steps. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Toomuch - how is the hol? Are you all tanned and gorgeous? I'm very pale and very jealous!

welshprincess · 02/07/2007 08:58

mistlethrush · 02/07/2007 10:02

I'm at work - despite now having working computer at home didn't get a chance over the weekend.

I suppose I'm just resigned now - dh doesn't really want #2 at the moment due to financial reasons, and he is stressed at work.

I'm just knackered. Ds is potty training himself - now basically dry at night, but this means that we get him up when we go to bed (then he screams for a bit) then he sometimes wakes between 3 - 4 again. Can't blame him, but this morning I woke up at about 3 and then stayed awake waiting for him to wake up - whcih he did at about 5.40. So between dh's stress and both being tired out, not much action going on, so #2 very unlikely.

I feel that time is running out if we're to have a realistic chance of 2nd (now 38)(does anyone else have to work out whether its an odd or even year to work out how old they are, or am I losing it?)

Also worry that might have another molar pregnancy - and complete panic over how we would cope - I think that is what finally put dh off after mc in autumn - 2 months of not knowing whether it was coming back or not. Don't you just love all the tests!

Sorry that this is about #2 - really just here rooting for all of you and I suppose to say that it can happen for you, even if you might have to wait a long time like we did.

toomuchtimeonline · 02/07/2007 11:18

Mistlet - big hug from me - you sound really down! At 38 you still have time - hopefully your dh will come around soon - otherwise you'll just have to seduce him so he can't resist on the correct days of the month!!

Treenie - sounds like you're symptom spotting mad !! I reckon that you can probably make yourself feel pregnant when you want it enough - however, you also do actually feel different when you're pregnant - so who knows - that's why the 2ww is hell!! Got everything crossed for you! Same for you wp!

Another big spanish hug winging its way to you nomore!

Over half way through my hol now . Cd15 and no clue when or if I've ovualted.. Just bding like mad!

Treenie · 02/07/2007 11:26

WP glad to hear I'm not alone. Went to the docs this morning to have a chat about it all and she poo pooed all my symptoms and said it was just ovulation pains so feeling a bit blue and silly again. Really sick of waiting and wondering.

Toomuch just keep bding and you'll get there! Even though the doc said we were doing it too much! Argh! The only thing she did say is that it's good I'm young cause that means we have plenty of time - but I don't want to have plenty of time I want to be pregnant!

Mistlethrush you need a wee break by the sounds of things. Time to yourself to relax, get a decent nights sleep and really think about how you feel.
Could you get a saturday afternoon to yourself for a bit of quiet time and maybe a massage or something?
And it's lovely to have you hear and benifit from your support. I don't think it matters at all that you are on number 2.
