We're very close to maxing-out our previous thread, so time to start afresh 🙂

To borrow the intro from @Blondcat (our old threads founder):

A wonderful bunch of ladies supporting each other through the ttc journey when trying for a first baby after 35.

Good luck all!! 🍀🤞🏻🍀🤞🏻

Hello ladies
So Xmas eve and my first gift is AF arriving!
It’s first after ERPC and it’s CD26
Only got bfn a week ago!!
Not sure how I feel ..... relieved it’s not a 8 week cycle but worried it’s here so quick. Any experiences??

Also....sorry for TMI .... seems quite thick- not overly heavy when you look at pad but on wiping it’s thick and gloopy. Always use tampons previously but not sure if I should this time??

Blondcat · 24/12/2018 10:01

@rachyrach83 didn't have erpc but natural mc my first af came after 25 days didn't even get a negative before and it was similar to what you are describing then got heavier and lasted 9 days (about 4 were very light though) I think but was obviously clearing out. I felt more comfortable with pads but I don't think it was necessary they only say with mc bleeding as it can cause an infection.

Rachyrach83 · 24/12/2018 10:19

Thanks @blondcat
It’s a bittersweet feeling. :(
I think I may stick to pads for a few days so I can monitor what’s happening.

I’ve set up my clearblue monitor. It’s saying to start testing on 29th. Never used it before so hoping it works

Fell pregnant with my MMC without any of this, just sheer naive luck, but after everything you learn going through this I decided to give myself the best shot, so FX it’s all going to come together. Xx

Amanda81 · 24/12/2018 10:41

@Rachyrach83 I felt so relived when AF turned up after ERPC (MMC), but it did bring up mixed emotions. My AF was mid flow, lasted for a total of 5 days and arrived exactly five weeks after ERPC. I'm now on to first cycle after the operation and all is as was before. Hope your AF doesn't bring you to much bother over the festive period

Kescilly · 24/12/2018 18:36

Just wanted to quickly update you all and say that the private scan went well today. It’s a girl. Smile

Merry Christmas everyone, hope you’re partying it up, giving yourself a little break, and I’m looking forward to some BFPs in the new year.

VenusStarr · 24/12/2018 19:12

Lovely news @Kescilly 💖

I've had a nice, relaxing Christmas eve with dh, now watching beauty and the beast with a vodka and tonic. Hope everyone has a peaceful Christmas, spending it however makes you happy. For me, all day in my pj's watching films and eating nice food, snuggled up with dh.

Merry Christmas 🎄 x

Pinkywoo · 24/12/2018 19:33

So glad everything's ok @Kescilly Xmas Smile

It's been ridiculously busy at work today, but I'm finally at home with a glass of prosecco, and have the next two days off, merry Christmas everyone! 🎄

PixieN · 24/12/2018 22:20

Lovely news @Kescilly 💕x

It’s been a busy day for me, but having a glass of wine and relaxing now with DH. Happy Christmas everyone and fingers crossed for lots of BFPs in the new year x

CNizzle · 25/12/2018 07:32

Lovely news @kescilly!
Merry Christmas all x
Ive just been awoken on chrisrmas morning by the woman in the red suit... aunt Flo! Well, certainly the cramps anyway. Popped a few codeine & back to bed for a bit.
Christmas day is going to be a bit odd for us, mum has decided that the table is going in the room with my dad who is in a hospital bed. Hes very poorly (has a brain tumour) and sleeping most of the time, but shes desperate that he doesnt miss out. My sister's little ones will probably be clambering all over him, by dinner time tho. All together a quite unfestive year for us.
Here was me hoping, just hoping for a bfp to lighten things a bit. No such luck.

Rachyrach83 · 25/12/2018 08:23

Cnizzke
I can relate, not only did my AF arrive yesterday, but my mum has a brain tumour too, although not bed bound it's not going to be the same day we are used to. Enjoy it though. Merry Christmas!

BambiOnIce80 · 25/12/2018 08:28

Fantastic news @Kescilly!! 🎉 😍 Let the name short listing commence!

My Christmas is sounding a lot like yours @VenusStarr (absolutely perfect way to spend the day 😊).

Commiserations on the Lidl wine @79andnotout (although they did have a very drinkable vermintino at one stage 🥂). I hope your head isn't too bad today 🤞🏻

Sorry it sounds like AF may be turning up @CNizzle 💐 I hope you enjoy your Christmas, albeit bitter sweet ❤️

Thanks @Carley321 - the graph is looking all greek to me at the moment! 🤒😩Christmas also signals the start of my fertile week, so we've started the day as we mean to go on, regardless of temp charts! 😂

Merry Christmas ladies and I wish BFP's for you all in the New Year 🍀💖🍀💖

DP just popped the question under the Christmas tree! It wasn't really a surprise but I still cried Xmas Blush Merry Christmas x

VenusStarr · 25/12/2018 10:11

Aw that's lovely @Pinkywoo congratulations to you and your fiancé ❤️ x

QuantumGirl · 25/12/2018 10:39

Congratulations @Pinkywoo and @Kescilly what lovely Christmas presents 🎁. I'm also home with DH and puppydog (not a puppy anymore though). He hurt his paw and was sedated for X-rays yesterday and recovering today. My rash got worse and spread all over my body. It's to do with sweat patches 🤢. I swear I'm a clean person and get showered every single day. Still don't know how it happened. Got a positive opk yesterday evening and a negative this morning and somehow need to allure DH to bed at some point today. No ewcm at all which I usually have. not much hope this month 😞. Merry Christmas to you all ladies. Our wish will come true 💫😘

79andnotout · 25/12/2018 11:27

Congrats @Pinkywoo and @Kescilly ! Great news.

Sorry to hear about the rash spreading @QuantumGirl - not nice! Sweat can be pretty harsh stuff though. Get well soon puppy dog.

Ours is having Christmas with the father in law as the kennels was full. It's the first time she's ever been looked after by anyone else since we got her three years ago as she is very anxious, but it all seems to be going fine thankfully!

I've been curing my hangovers with some gentle countryside runs, which also give me a chance to escape the miserable atmosphere of forced companionship. Ugh I hate my step mother. Such a cliche!

Sorry to hear about the difficult christmasses with ill parents. Hope you manage to have some semblance of a nice day.

CNizzle · 25/12/2018 11:31

Congratulations @pinkywoo lovely!!

BambiOnIce80 · 25/12/2018 12:23

Awwwwww, that's lovely news @Pinkywoo! 💖 Will it be a big Sicilian wedding?? 🤩

Sounds like you've had a rough week of it @QuantumGirl 💐 Hope you and the (non) puppy are better soon.x

Your Christmas sounds like what mine's like when I go back down south (which is why we've stayed at home this year! 😂). I like my stepmother, but not so much my stepsister and her tribe 😏

Well, it's after 12pm,so it's now socially acceptable to open the prosecco, pimp it with the newly acquired bramble gin and get into the festive spirit! 🍾🥂Xmas Grin

Hope you and the puppy feel better soon @QuantumGirl x

We had prosecco and salmon for breakfast @BambiOnIce - felt very decadent Grin

Emmz84 · 25/12/2018 14:10

Congratulations @Pinkywoo and @Kescilly!! Lovely news for the pair of you!!
I’m just having a quiet Christmas today with DH, no pomp and ceremony for us today!

I hope all you lovely ladies have a wonderful day however you are spending it x

MrsRRC · 26/12/2018 08:30

Congratulations @Kescily and @pinkywoo exciting times ahead for you 😁😁😁

Let’s see the ring then 😁😁😁

Well, I got a BFP this morning, it’s a blazing positive at 4w1d.

I had a few suspicions, the colour of my nipples were a give away last time too. Although if we weren’t actively trying, I wouldn’t have had a clue!

I am going to wait until around the 5th of
Jan to refer myself to the midwives, and am trying to be cautiously optimistic and also decide how to lie my way out of drinking at the numerous do’d We have over the next few weeks.

Blondcat · 26/12/2018 08:48

@mrsrrc congratulations you could try the driving excuse or get a non alcoholic drink and day it is alcoholic such as a coke and says had vodka in, heavy night the night before so had can't take it etc...

Also congratulations @pinkywoo what a fab Christmas present. And @kescilly whoop whoop a girl.. I have just over 4 weeks to wait for the 20w scan to find out. I managed to hold off the early scan so I know I can with this one too (grits teeth).

BambiOnIce80 · 26/12/2018 08:48

Fantastic news @MrsRRC!! 🎉😍🎉😍 Keeping everything crossed for a sticky bean 🤞🏻🍀🤞🏻🍀

Hope you girls all had a lovely Christmas. We have my parents over today. I love them but they are HARD WORK sometimes.

What are you all up to for today?

79andnotout · 26/12/2018 09:09

Ah great news @MrsRRC ! So pleased for you.

PixieN · 26/12/2018 09:53

Fab news @MrsRRC 🎉💕x

We’re meeting some friends for a walk today. Need to start exercising properly again, but i’ve had a sore knee for a while. Tried some gentle exercise on the bike at the gym a few days ago as it’s supposed to be low impact and good for knees, but i’m missing Zumba - not been to my class for ages.
