Hi ladies! Just wondering if anyone else is trying for DC2? Hoping we can support each other through this journey 🙂 I have a soon to be 4 year old, on cycle no 2 and currently waiting to exhale ovulate!

@ejo21 oh hun I've done the same thing! Googling secondary infertility and getting myself worked up! We need to step away from google! Again I'm so sorry for your loss, it must have been devastating. I'm really hoping you get your super sticky BFP this month! X

@rollerskaterdata thanks ☺️ same to you!!! Hopefully we'll all get a BFP soon and all our DC can have little siblings 😍💗

I know what you mean with Google 😂 I genuinely typed in 'can you become infertile after having a baby' 😅 I think I need to be a bit more patient, but it happened so quickly with DS that I thought it'd be quick this time too 😞 I guess we just got extremely lucky with catching the egg last time! We only want 2 so I'm hoping it'll happen soon and I'll never have to worry about this stuff ever again 😂

It's so strange, in school they make out like you're 100% going to get pregnant if you DTD without contraception. Wish it was actually that easy 🙈🤣

rollerskaterdata · 12/09/2018 13:05

@ejo21 thanks hun! I know what you mean, with DS we didn't even try as we were using natural family planning to avoid, and I was supposed to be in my 'safe zone' (pretty sure I had ovulated a week earlier when we DTD unprotected!!). I stupidly genuinely thought I'd get pregnant first try last month so when AF came I was shocked and horrified! I'm still in my 20s too so thought it'd be super easy. Ha!

What you're taught in school definitely doesn't help. Because then you start thinking there's something wrong with you - after all, why didn't I get pregnant when I've had unprotected sex multiple times this month??!! 😂😅

ejo I am so sorry to hear about your loss Sad Sending you a virtual hug Halo

Welcome to all the new ladies 😊

I just got my first high on the clear blue monitor. I sent the picture to my dh....Wink

I must read back through the messages properly when I finish work, as I am on my lunch break.

@rollerskaterdata I know 🤣 they make out like it's so easy!! I'm 27 now so also thought we'd conceive fairly quickly again!

@Carastarchild thank you 💗 I also sent my DH a photo of the 'peak fertility' smiley face- he takes it as a challenge 😂

Really hoping it doesn't take too much longer 😓 when you decide to try for another you instantly want to be pregnant don't you?! I hate that it's 'common' to wait up to a year! Every month you get the emotional rollercoaster 😢 xxx

Ladies im even more worried about it taking to long as i was trying for two years before we conceived DS, we were actually chilling for a few months before potentially starting IVF when i fell pregnant. Hoping its a lot quicker this time for all of us.

Report
rollerskaterdata · 12/09/2018 17:46

@Carastarchild seeing that first high is so exciting! Wait until you get your peak! I danced around the house like a mad woman 😂

@ejo21 I'm 27 too! I was 22 when I got pg with DS and 23 when he was born. Surely my fertility can't have changed much since then?! A year is so bloody long, it's hard not to care how common it is when you just want it now and like you say every month is so gutting 😢

@fizzytonicplease here's hoping you catch a sticky bean soon hun! I keep trying to tell myself I've already had a child so why couldn't I have another? Neither of us have health issues so hope it's just a matter of time rather than never. I'm trying reallllyyyyy hard to engage the rational side of my brain!

2dpo here and I'm having cramps in my uterus, thighs and lower back, milder than AF but way too early to be AF and not late Ov as I had my peak on Sunday afternoon. I SAID I WOULDN'T symptom spot this month and I bloody meant it too, but my body won't allow me not to apparently! 😡🤦‍♀️ it's obviously way too early for implantation so my body is being cruel AGAIN

@rollerskatadata yep trying to to be sensible but at 4dpo im already symptom spotting too 😂 i go on holiday tomorrow so looking forward to the distraction. Like you say our bodies have already done it once so fx it happens again and soon!

Roller I know Grin I was literally all excited 😂 I am glad to hear it's actually quiet normal 😁 It is still reading high today, but no lh surge detected.

Ejo great minds think alike and all that Grin my dh replied "good" Hmm Sounds like he was very excited 😂😂😂

We dtd last night just in case. We are not dtd today, and I will reassess it tomorrow after I test again. Then it will be the weekend thankfully 💗

rollerskaterdata · 13/09/2018 12:18

@Carastarchild we DTD every other day from my 1st high reading and then when I got my peak, 3 days in a row. Reason being we've been following the SMEP plan since TTC, so we're on cycle 2 of SMEP and cycle 2 of TTC. Difference from last month though is I used OPKs this month rather than guessing when I ovulate, and preseed too! Oh and it took me 5 days of high fertility flashing smileys until I got my peak! I was ready to throw the monitor at the wall!! 😂

@rollerskaterdata thinking of trying the SMEP if we don't get a BFP this month! Hadn't read about it before but luckily we DTD for the 3 days anyway after I had my peak fertility.

8 days til AF is due so keeping everything crossed that this month is our month! 😬🤞

Unsure on when to test! Usually the pre-AF ones just get me down when there's a BFN 😔

Well 4 DPO and just have it in my head that I'm pregnant even though I'm not lol just feel different, got tingly boobs and stomach ache a lot but surely wouldn't feel like this so early on ? I hate what it does to us makes us symptom spot. I've ordered some FREP to test next Friday so don't know what to think lol

Hi Rollerskater I had to laugh at the thought of you getting angry with your monitor Grin the struggle is real 😂 I am on my third day of high readings. I took a cheap opk and it's negative. A bit of a line showing, but near positive. I would think I will have high readings for two more days. We are planning on dtd...well I am just going to pounch on DH later Grin cos he thinks we should wait until tomorrow.

@ejo21 I quite like SMEP, it makes me feel like we're covering all bases iyswim? Knackering though 😂 if it doesn't work this month we'll probably go back to EOD next cycle! Oooooh here's hoping it's all our months this month...it's painful wanting something so bad 😔 I'll be testing 12dpo which will be 2/3 days before AF due date. I just can't bear waiting any longer!

@Ellikopter sounds promising! I've been having cramps since 1dpo that come and go but are persistent. Also a few uterine twinges here and there. It's so hard not to symptom spot though when it feels like you're body won't let you ignore it! I'm testing one day after you (next sat) can't wait but also really nervous at the same time!

@Carastarchild yessss eurgh the struggle is so real 🙄 we just stuck to EOD on high readings days x

Ok so TMI alert...but I've been trying to keep an eye on my cervical position to better get to know my body and because it's an additional predictor for ovulation. Felt very SHOW on and before Ov day which is great. So I'm 4dpo today and I checked my cervix. Sorry TMI but when I withdrew my finger from my, ahem, lady parts, I had a bit of creamy, pearly, almost lotiony cervical mucus? Noticed a bit yesterday too, now I'm wondering if I have some sort of infection?! I've never noticed this before (but not really gone looking either!). Gah! I have no other symptoms to suggest an infection but I don't know why I have it when I think I'm normally dry as a bone after ovulation?! Any thoughts?

@rollerskaterdata that sounds promising!!! Still having CM after ovulation can indicate pregnancy! If you're not pregnant it tends to 'dry up' but if you are there is usually still some present. Fingers crossed for you!!! 🤞🤞🤞 xxx

Carastarchild · 14/09/2018 20:23

Rollerskater that's perfectly normal. It's only if it's green or foul spelling that it would indicate that there is an infection. My sister had a baby a few months ago and she said that she had loads of creamy cervical mucus just before AF was due and that the creamy mucus continued for weeks 🤗

Elikopter ovulation always makes my bowels act funny. I guess it's from the progesterone surge. Fx you get a BFP next Friday 🙏

@ejo21 @Carastarchild I wish I could get excited but I can't! It's definitely not loads, it's only when I feel my cervix and withdraw my finger that I see it and it's only a little bit (sorry TMI!). It's probably been there all along every cycle I've just never noticed it! I just can't bear to get my hopes up. I was just panicking about an infection during tww and it scuppering my chances. Thanks for the responses and reassurance though ladies 😊 x

Anyone have any nice plans for the weekend?

@Carastarchild yes I can only assume it's an ovulation thing but never noticed them when we weren't trying and no I can feel everything lol it's really confusing and misleading.

@rollerskaterdata well I'm keeping everything crossed for you ☺️🤞 I'll be testing on the Saturday too if AF hasn't shown up by that morning (due to start then 😣)

@Ellikopter you're right, this week is going to go soooo slowly!

When are the rest of you guys due to test? Hoping for lots of BFPs 😅 xxx
