Haha yeah I will let everyone know we are going to still DTD every other day as my cycles can sometimes vary lol but I'll let everyone know and everyone share their results this month. Test is on 24th September so I may take a test then lol

@Carastarchild thanks hun I'll take a look!

@Ellikopter @fizzytonicplease I was on holiday for most of my tww last month and it still wasn't enough of a distraction 😂 I'm testing on 22nd, used clearblue OPKS and preseed this month so I'm really hoping we caught that egg! Won't get my hopes up too much though x

Hi all,

I'm TTC no. 2 as well- we've been trying since Feb and I miscarried at 6 weeks pregnant in July. DH and I were both devastated even though it was early days :(

DS is 11 months at the moment but we were lucky enough to conceive quickly with him.

Good luck to all TTC!

Xx

@Ellikopter thank you! I did a OTK on Friday and had peak fertility so now have the 2WW (much like a lot of people on here by the looks of it!)

We've been DTD every other day too, my periods have been different since having DS. Has anyone else experienced this? Hope it's normal! I used to have fairly regular 28 day cycles and now they are usually 34 days with ovulation on CD 21. I've been tracking them since Feb using the FitBit app but if anyone else has any suggestions they'd be much appreciated!

Fingers crossed everyone gets the BFP they're hoping for soon! Xxx

Welcome @ejo21 and @FredsMomma 👋

@ejo21 sorry to hear of your loss 😔 I hope you get your sticky bean soon! In answer to your Q, my periods haven't really changed since having DC1 but my period pain sure has! I used to feel AF cramps in my stomach / uterus area and now only really feel them in my thighs! Can't explain why though!
@FredsMomma I'm on cycle 2 of TTC #2 as well and am only a grand total of 1 dpo! 😂 will be testing from 12dpo the earliest but honestly the next two weeks can't pass quickly enough!

@rollerskaterdata I'm now 3/4DPO (depending on how soon ovulation was after the peak fertility result) so also have a LONG 2 weeks ahead 😣

Do you know which HPTs are best for detecting in the early days? I never test before AF is due because it took a while to get a clear result with DS so I think it might take a while for my hormones to build up? If you know of any ultra sensitive ones though that'd be great 😂

OneMoreWish · 11/09/2018 20:32

@ejo21

Me too! I was pretty regular 28 day cycle and now I'm more like 32/34 days with ovulation around day 20. This month was cd 17 and each month seems to get more 'typical'

I felt cold yesterday and today even though house is 21 degrees. ( I'm normally a hot house) No way a symptom at 1dpo right.... lol

ejo21 · 11/09/2018 20:43

@OneMoreWish glad I'm not the only one! I was worried before so read about it and apparently it's fairly common for cycles to change afterwards. Hopefully we'll both either go back to normal soon or get a BFP 😅

I just keep telling myself that if ovulation is occurring it must be at least semi-normal for me haha.

I'm the same too, 3/4 DPO and looking out for every sign 😅

Sorry if TMI but do you carry on DTD every other day past ovulation as well just in case? Don't want to wear DH out but also paranoid in case OTK isn't as accurate as it claims! We've been using the ClearBlue one that predicts the 2 most fertile days! Xxx

Report
OneMoreWish · 11/09/2018 21:14

I might leave others to answer that @ejo21 as I have iui treatment at fertility clinic so only one go a month.

Like you I'm hopeful. That because I'm ovulating it should be ok even if cycle is longer x

Report
Ellikopter · 11/09/2018 22:10

@ejo21 I recommend every other day just incase as sometimes cycles can change and ovulation may Change as a result. One app told me I ovulated yesterday so We DTD, and another states I'm yet to ovulate so my TWW might not be happening yet lol my cycles range from 26-28 days so I'm going on yesterday's date for predicted ovulation but our bodies are cruel sometimes

Ellikopter · 11/09/2018 22:11

@ejo21 I have heard that first response early response tests are brilliant at detecting it prior to missed period

Ellikopter · 11/09/2018 22:13

@rollerskaterdata sounds exiting I'm sure you'll be counting down the days until you test :) . Why is it our first children not a worry with getting pregnant but yet with TTC number 2 there's doubt and worry lol strange isn't it lol

ejo21 · 12/09/2018 09:06

@Ellikopter @rollerskaterdata totally agree 😓😅 didn't have much trouble at all with our first! I came off the pill in November and we conceived at the start of January. No such luck this time around 😔 every month there's the long 2 weeks of hope and then that horrible sinking feeling when AF arrives. Hopefully this month we'll get our BFPs!

closedcircuit · 12/09/2018 09:46

@eoj1 @OneMoreWish

Thats really interesting your cycles got longer after your first as before i was pregnant my cycles were 30-34 days and after giving birth snapped straight into 26-28 days and has been mostly that ever since.

& yes it seems like for a lot of people ttc #2 can take quite a long time for those actively trying.

Hope we all get that sticky bean soon Flowers

I am currently on CD5 period will probably not disappear until friday earliest. Its been quite tough for me to come to terms with this time round! I usually am ok after the first day and just get up and get on but have really struggled. Sad my first has just started nursery too and have been unbelievably teary over that!

@ejo21 yep, First Response Early Results pregnancy tests can detect a pregnancy up to 6 days before your missed period (so 5 days before date of expected period). You'll see that brand frequently abbreviated and referred to as a 'FRER'. And after Ov we normally just do it when we feel like it, which is normally around every 3 days anyway. But I know what you mean, getting AF when you've been trying is the worst thing ever. Do you mind if I ask how long you've been trying for?

@Ellikopter our bodies are so cruel! I have this stupid irrational fear that I'll never get pregnant again even though I have no evidence or basis for this! I actually hate TTC, I just want to be pregnant already so I don't have to do it anymore! We want 3 DC and after DC2 we won't use protection and just see how it goes, I can't do this again!

@closedcircuit seeing AF when you don't want to is hard, take care of yourself 💐 I must admit when I got AF last month I probably had a few too many glasses of wine and pieces of chocolate I was so upset 🙄 hoping this is the month for all of us! Do you chart? And I hope your little one is enjoying being at nursery, what a milestone! I know I'm going to be a mess when mine starts school next year!

@rollerskaterdata I know exactly what you mean 😣 I have no reason to think we won't conceive again but am worrying so much that it won't happen again! I've even read about secondary infertility and worried myself 😓😅

We've been trying since Feb and each month that has gone by with AF arriving has been more difficult than the last. I was over the moon in June when we had our BFP and we started working out when I'd be due etc straightaway. I was absolutely devastated then when I miscarried in July at 6 weeks. We haven't stopped trying since this happened but I'm just hoping we manage to conceive a happy, healthy little bean soon 😣

AF is due on 21st of this month so praying it doesn't come!! Good luck to all 😘 xxx
