Hi ladies! Just wondering if anyone else is trying for DC2? Hoping we can support each other through this journey 🙂 I have a soon to be 4 year old, on cycle no 2 and currently waiting to exhale ovulate!

I've only kept my ds cotbed we got rid of loads of stuff when we moved as we just didn't have the storage space

Yep i kept a lots of baby clothes as we didnt find out the sex so had loads of white babygrows etc..also kept some nicer older outfits that would work for a boy or girl like some nice romper suits/dungarees.

We've kept a few clothes too, and also DS's old cot, buggy, car seat, bottle making machine and bottle cleaner and some other bits and bobs! I've also got all my old maternity clothes. Won't have to buy too much else I don't think.

Sooo...today I went for a private gender scan that I had booked last week during a moment of weakness when I thought I wanted to find out the sex rather than staying team yellow. Since booking it I've changed my mind (again!) but went to the scan anyway so as not to waste money as they don't give refunds. I asked them to find out but not tell me or DH and instead write in on a piece of paper in a sealed envelope (they told us when to look anyway at the appropriate times when they were doing the scan). So now I have an envelope in my house burning a hole through my dresser that contains the sex of my unborn child. I hope I can resist peeking for the next 24 weeks!!! 🙄😱

oh wow @rollerskaterdata! you have a lot of self control - even more self control than waiting to POAS

@LillianFullStop have you taken a test yet?

@rollerskaterdata I really don't know how you can have that envelope in easy reach and not be tempted to open it and find out

@rollerskaterdata you do have more control. We're finding out the sex I think in January more for the sake of finishing off decorating the nursery and there's only so much white and cream clothes I can buy lol

Tested this morning and it was a BFN

Couldn’t even get a faint line it’s as blank as it could get! I guess I can expect AF any day now... onto cycle 3 for me sigh damn these pre-AF symptoms being so similar to PG!!

Sorry to hear that but it's still not over intil AF arrives @LillianFullStop but if not then atleast you can eat and drink what u like over Xmas

thanks @waitingforbaby2 - will see how the next few days go and not rushing to test again soon. If AF is still a no show in 5 days will try again with a CBD. In the meantime a glass of wine is in order tonight!

Not as much self control as I think I have, I'm literally dreaming about opening that envelope! It's driving me crazy because on the one hand I would LOVE a surprise at birth and on the other hand I need to know NOW! 😩

@LillianFullStop sorry u got a BFN. You never know, AF might still not show but even if she does enjoy the Christmas food and wine! I went out for Christmas lunch with work today and was so jealous of the pate, beer, Christmas puds etc being eaten 😕

@rollerskaterdata so exciting either way! I’d def want to know as I probably wouldn’t have made myself step away from the sonography without losing my will haha

Enjoyed a cocktail and a medium rare steak last night ... kept to just one drink in case. Was sure I would wake to AF this AM but still a no show.

I've decided...I think I'm either going to find out on Christmas Day, or otherwise not at all. That gives me 10 days to make my mind up 😂

@LillianFullStop I hope the witch stays firmly away! Oooo I miss a good medium rare streak 😩

Well AF came today so back to cycle day 1 I go!

@LillianFullStop sorry to hear the witch got you. What's your battle plan this cycle, are you going to try anything different? And also, enjoy all the things you can eat and drink at Christmas that me, @Ellikopter and @fizzytonicplease can't!

Thanks @rollerskaterdata that’s my only consolation that my Christmas will be guilt free as I won’t even be in 2WW then so no what-ifs to consider either!

I think I’m going to pay attention more to fertile/ovulation symptoms rather than Ovia calendar. It was obviously wrong on my period dates!

Hey everyone how are you all doing ? I went to midwife Monday to hear heartbeat I'm 17 half weeks . Heartbeat very clear and found straight away :) xx

@Ellikopter wow I can't believe your almost half way, it's so nice hearing the heartbeat I can't wait for all these little experiences again hopefully, I'm hoping to get my BFP sometime around the 10th jan

Thanks I don't know if I'm just being hopeful sorry for TMI but I've been having a little bit of cramping on my right side today and EWCM for the last 3 days so I'm hoping this is ovulation happening especially as we DTD last night I'm so impatient, I'm not used to the idea of trying as it just happened first time round

Every other day is good for TTC I had no idea when I was ovulating as hospital said I ovulated different to what I thought so every other day is best incase you have awkward periods. But I had cramping and EWCM too so very promising :)

Merry xmas, just wanted to say our scan went well baby was fidgeting loads and i still can't belive we are having another baby. We told our son and he is so excited. We also got our letter informing us we are low risk for downs etc... x
