Hi ladies! Just wondering if anyone else is trying for DC2? Hoping we can support each other through this journey 🙂 I have a soon to be 4 year old, on cycle no 2 and currently waiting to exhale ovulate!

@fizzytonicplease that's great news :)

LaBelleSausage · 28/12/2018 16:59

Hello, haven’t read the whole thread but hope you’re open to newbies. DS was 13 months old on Boxing Day and DH finally agreed that we can start trying again.

It was only CD10 but better early than never, hoping for a repeat performance tonight as it’s CD12 Xmas Grin

Still breastfeeding and the period I’ve just had was the first one since Feb 2017 so no idea if I’m actually ovulating, but found the ovulation strips we resorted to last time all a bit clinical so I’m trying to just go with it in a more relaxed fashion.

Hope everyone has had a lovely Christmas

Needadoughnut · 28/12/2018 17:01

I'm curry TTC #2 , this is our sixth cycle, one CP... We genuinely thought it wouldn't take that long

waitingforbaby2 · 28/12/2018 18:44

Welcome @LaBelleSausage and @Needadoughnut always nice to have some new TTCers as it's nice to have people in the same situation especially as there are a few who already are pregnant on here now so do post when you get your BFP and updates throughout your pregnancy as I love reading about it and as far as I'm aware everyone else on here doesn't seem to mind either, I'm on cycle 3 now and just starting my TWW today good luck for your BFP

LaBelleSausage · 28/12/2018 18:50

Thanks @waitingforbaby2. Fingers crossed you get your BFP soon

waitingforbaby2 · 31/12/2018 21:01

Happy new year everyone hopefully it will be a year full of BFPs and healthy babies

Ellikopter · 31/12/2018 22:22

@waitingforbaby2 happy new year to you too :) xx

rollerskaterdata · 02/01/2019 11:33

Happy New Year everyone :)

Ellikopter · 02/01/2019 11:53

Happy new year :) @rollerskaterdata how's everything going ? We find out the sex of baby on Monday :) I can't wait xx I'm 90 percent sure I'm having another boy 💙 but will wait and see what they say on Monday X

rollerskaterdata · 02/01/2019 13:07

@Ellikopter I'm well thanks, 19 weeks tomorrow :) how are you getting on? I have my 20 week scan on Tuesday so day after yours. Did I mention before Christmas I had a private sexing scan? I changed my mind while there and got them to write in on paper and put in an envelope! Still haven't opened it yet as I'm still not sure whether to stay team yellow or not ha ha! Need to make my mind up by Tuesday so sonographer can either double confirm sex or make sure not to tell us! All the best for your scan, fx for healthy sticky beans xx

OP posts:
Ellikopter · 02/01/2019 13:16

@rollerskaterdata I would look at it and then have it confirmed at your 20 week scan Tuesday :-) but that's just me , I didn't want to know and now I do lol

Ellikopter · 02/01/2019 13:26

That's only because they got sex wrong for me first time round so I ended up getting a 4D scan which confirmed correct gender lol X

rollerskaterdata · 02/01/2019 13:29

@Ellikopter oh gosh that's what I'm afraid of! Did they originally say your little boy was a girl?

OP posts:
LaBelleSausage · 02/01/2019 14:08

We didn’t find out with DS but I think for a second baby I’d want to know.
I’ve been googling and there’s a home blood test you can do from 9 weeks (the company is called SneakPeek) which I’d be really tempted by if I’m lucky enough to catch soon - although it sounds like it’s possible to accidentally contaminate the blood sample.
I know far too many people who have been told they’re having a girl then had a boy, but I don’t think I could pay £400 for the full nips test.
Hope both of your scans go well next week

Ellikopter · 02/01/2019 14:58

Yes they said he was a girl haha and turned out to be a boy :p

Ellikopter · 02/01/2019 14:59

Thankyou@LaBelleSausage think I will see how Monday goes and book in a 4D scan as I did that with my son so we'll keep to same routine lol X

Ellikopter · 02/01/2019 14:59

@LaBelleSausage

rollerskaterdata · 02/01/2019 21:45

@Ellikopter oh gosh lol! I guess it's never 100% though is it 😅

Hi everyone! About to start ttc number 2! @LaBelleSausage my DS is also 13 months. Have people told you you're crazy to start trying so soon? 🙈

LaBelleSausage · 03/01/2019 08:37

Hi fairybeagle Smile

Not really - there’s only 13 months between myself and my older sister so I think my family are wondering why we’ve waited this long!
I guess it’ll end up being around a two year gap which I think is pretty normal.

I have one friend who had her DD in September and DS in August, so compared to her I suppose no one can really comment on me!

What sort of reactions have you had?

fairybeagle · 03/01/2019 12:00

@LaBelleSausage 13 months, hard lovely, I bet you are really close 😊
I haven't told many people but when kids close in age has come up in conversations ive had comments on how my first is still only a baby and will miss out on attention. I always thought about siblings as a benefit!!
X

rollerskaterdata · 03/01/2019 15:24

Welcome to the newbies, I hope your TTC journey is short!

So hubby and I decided to open the envelope today over a nice lunch at my favourite restaurant. Turns out my bump is 💖 absolutely thrilled!! 🥰 (will be checking again at 20 week scan on Tuesday though lol!)

Ellikopter · 03/01/2019 17:54

@rollerskaterdata oh wow excellent :) everyone i know are having girls lol so I don't think there's enough pink to go around and stretch to me lol congrats that's lovely one of each :) this is our last pregnancy so a bit of me wants to experience a girl but I will be happy either way :) xx

LaBelleSausage · 05/01/2019 14:04

That’s lovely news @rollerskaterdata! I’m so happy for you.

Hope everyone is doing well. I took DS for his first haircut today and felt a bit sick at the smell of the hairdresser - which bizarrely is what triggered me to POAS last time!

I’ve also had a headache all day and I had one when I was pregnant with DS for 5 days before I got my positive test, so I’m trying very hard not to get too excited but think I might test on Friday or Saturday next week as we have a wedding to go to on Saturday.

Currently on CD20 so it probably should be too early for any symptoms and I’m probably just getting ahead of myself

LillianFullStop · 06/01/2019 18:12

Welcome @LaBelleSausage and @fairybeagle! I’m CD22 so I guess now in TWW but not feeling at all pg...
