Hi ladies! Just wondering if anyone else is trying for DC2? Hoping we can support each other through this journey 🙂 I have a soon to be 4 year old, on cycle no 2 and currently waiting to exhale ovulate!

@LillianFullStop this is cycle 2 for me too my ds is 9 tho so not a ideal gap ideally I would of wanted a 2 or 3 year age gap but it's just hasn't been the right time intil now

I'm gonna try to hold out testing intil Af is late unless I have symptoms before that that suggest I'm pregnant but I only came off the implant in September so my cycles are a little messed up still, I had a 28 day cycle the first month of the implant then a 43 day cycle so I'm not really sure what's gonna happen this month yet when will u test?

@waitingforbaby2 I will try to hold off until 14th when AF is due ... although I have a FRER in the bathroom somewhere so hopefully I will be able to resist! With TTC #1 I had those cheaper HCG tests which I used when I was feeling impatient but they don’t seem to sell them anymore in Boots?

Thanks @ellikopter! How’s T1 so far? I remember feeling so tired the last time so I’m not looking forward to T1 + a toddler!!

No updates as of yet. Did another test on Fri and nothing so hoping I get some answers on Fri. AF due next week so fingers crossed will keep you all posted xx

Back on this thread with a new username, I’ve not been around for months but looks like we might’ve managed to conceive #2, accidentally... Not ecstatic but will come around. Need to do another test in the morning to confirm that I’m not getting my knickers in a twist over nothing.

DH is away with work til Thurs, any ideas how to tell him, if tomorrow’s test is positive? What’ve you ladies got planned for your OHs? He’ll be delighted :)

@HappyGoLuckyGo congrats my DH wants to be around when I do test so I can't surprise him when it does happen but maybe with it being close to Christmas you could give him a Xmas card saying from bump or possibly even wrap up pregnancy test and give as a early gift

Thanks! I’m disturbed by the reference to “bump” though- I am not ready for this! Will confirm with another test on Weds morning, if I can hold off doing it tomorrow... You’ve inspired me though, I was going to get a little Christmas tree this week so maybe I’ll get four special baubles and tell him when he sees it...

Anyone else think they should make advent calendars for 2WW?

No symptoms to speak of AT ALL.

Well... sadly (or not so sadly?! Am unclear on how I feel about potential dc2) got a definite BFN yesterday. But still no AF! The wait continues...

@LillianFullStop I like the idea of a 2WW Advent calendar something to take ur mind of the wait it always seems to drag

How have u been doing have u had any symptoms

I don't know if this makes sense but I haven't had any pregnancy symptoms but I have had a lack of AF symptoms as by now my boobs start getting a little sore but nothing

@HappyGoLuckyGo it's more likely to get a false negative than a false positive which tests did u use

@LillianFullStop sorry I just re read a realised u said no symptoms yet I'm tired my dog kept waking me up last night, good training for a new baby when it happens I suppose

@waitingforbaby2 my toddler woke up in the middle of the night for the first time in ages so I think the world is conspiring to train us for what’s to come!

Still no symptoms I’m wondering if I will even bother testing at all now

@happygoluckgo I’d wait a couple more days and test again? how many days past AF due are you now?

@LillianFullStop I hate looking into symptoms but I did have some cramping this morning but only lasted about 30 minutes but I think I'm about 8dpo so I was wondering if it could possibly be implantation as normal AF symptoms are sore boobs and back ache I don't normally get cramps but I'm probably just looking into it to much how many DPO are u?

@waitingforbaby2 Could be a good sign! Fingers crossed. I’m living abroad so I used a local brand of test but it was a “test up to 4 days before you’re due on” one.

@LillianFullStop I thought AF was due yesterday but this is actually my first cycle after my first period since I had DS, so I was just assuming it would be the same length...?!

@waitingforbaby2 that sounds really positive, fx for you! The cycle I got pregnant I had very intense cramping at 7dpo, it almost felt like pressure in one central spot in my uterus that lasted about 30 mins! It really freaked me out and I didn't know what it was as I've never felt anything like it - turned out it was implantation and I got a strong BFP 4 days later! X

@rollerskaterdata thanks I've had nothing since that tho so I'm trying not to get my hopes up to much but it does sound similar to your experience, how are you doing?

@waitingforbaby2 when will it be time to test? I'm doing ok thank you, 15+1 now and just feel like my pregnancy is going so slowly! I'm still waiting for my second trimester glow to kick in 😅

@rollerskaterdata I'm not really sure about when to test to be honest as my cycle was really messed up so AF is due anytime from tomorrow intil the 20th if I end up with a long cycle again but I might use a IC tomorrow morning

@waitingforbaby2 I think i got some cramping early this morning I’m 8DPO today (just going by when AF is due not temping or OPK). Wasn’t quite 30 minutes like yours but on and off for 10 minutes. Not too dissimilar to stretching pains with DD1.

Now I’m going cuckoo and tempted to use that FRER sat in my bathroom!! going to try to wait til 14 if I can help it!

@rollerskaterdata will you find out the sex on your 20w scan?

Yeah Im just going by my AF date also @LillianFullStop fingers crossed we both get our BFP this month I also have a FRER at home so I know what u mean it's hard not to be tempted to test but I think I will use one of my IC tomorrow or I'm even possibly tempted to do one tonight even tho I know that's not the best time to test

I hope so I think our DPO is within days of each other. I don’t have any IC on hand - which one did you go for? I used to have Boots brand HCG strips but they’ve been discontinued.

I have the one step ones from amazon and I did one about 20 minutes ago but nothing I might try again in the morning but if nothing again I will wait a few more days

Oh I’ll look those up on Amazon and get a few. Really struggling to wait til AF is due (Friday) esp with the FRER box screaming 6 days earlier at me! I keep getting these cramps on and off but they may well be pre-menstrual cramps.

Did a test this morning but still nothing so I'm gonna wait now I might try to wait till Friday now as well
