Fingers crossed for you @Thinkcalmthoughts! I think I’m out for this month as my symptoms have now gone so I think just early period after all

Roll on December!

Thinkcalmthoughts · 25/11/2018 12:47

@LillianFullStop

Thanks still confused lol same clear discharge this morning.
Keep thinking was last Fri AF and was just really short and light and this is me ovulating buts doesn't explain the sicky feeling etc minds totaly messed up will take test in morning and if nothing will be making a app with docs to see what's going on xx

Thinkcalmthoughts · 26/11/2018 08:22

Update

Took a test again this morning and negative again so frustrating. I'm being to think the spotting the other week there was a light AF and the clear discharge sat and yesterday was ovulation that's what I'm thinking though doesn't explain the off feeling nearly every day .
Will be making a appointment to see a doc to get to the bottom of this

Ellikopter · 26/11/2018 09:01

Sorry to hear it was negative @Thinkcalmthoughts but I think you're doing right thing by going to GP X

Thinkcalmthoughts · 26/11/2018 10:30

@Ellikopter

Thanks disappointed to say the least but I must be doing things right just at the wrong time am I not?

Just off pill in Aug so I'm going to be thrown off by when AF is due and when I ovulate and I must be ovulating if I had clear sticky like discharge over the weekend but then again I never used pregnancy tests to tell me if I was pregnant with my first was the doctors lol

Ellikopter · 26/11/2018 18:40

Yeah it's all about timing now and it'll happen :-)

Thinkcalmthoughts · 26/11/2018 18:56

@Ellikopter

Thanks have a appointment next Fri but keeping a record of what I'm feeling etc stomach still feels off at times and tight in a way lol but will keep fingers crossed

Ellikopter · 26/11/2018 18:58

@Thinkcalmthoughts yeah keep track of everything. As because my due date has now changed they said it was due to ovulation so I clearly ovulated not when I thought so general rule is do the bedding every other day then you're covered X

fizzytonicplease · 27/11/2018 16:06

@rollerskatadata and @Ellikopter did you have the combined test for downs and edwards? Ive said yes but am now having second thoughts im just worried that the result will be that i have a high chance and then i will be worrying as ive heard even if nothing is detected on the scan sometimes your bloods and age can make it a high chance. I guess im worried that all will be fine but the test will come back high due to my age. Sorry for the long post x

Ellikopter · 27/11/2018 16:40

@fizzytonicplease yes I'm having both tests done. Think the risk is same no matter what Hun but I can understand your worries. I have said yes as I do want to know. I didn't have Edwards test with my son so I wanted to make sure I took advantage.

Ellikopter · 27/11/2018 16:41

@LillianFullStop any news/updates?

fizzytonicplease · 27/11/2018 18:15

Yes @Ellikopter you're right, just another thing to worry about as im not sure if we will tell DS and everyone else until the results are in but i cant seem to find how long they take.

rollerskaterdata · 27/11/2018 18:35

@fizzytonicplease I didn't. Purely because last time I was pregnant (aged 22) I got a very high risk result - 1:35 chance of DS having Downs Syndrome. For me it was pointless because I refused the CVS/amnio due to miscarriage risk, and knew I would keep him anyway. Turns out he was, and is, absolutely fine and a healthy, lively nearly 4 year old. It ruined my pregnancy if I'm honest. I vowed I would never take the test again and this time round, I didn't. Very happy with my decision. It's a very personal decision though and deffo no right or wrong answer x

fizzytonicplease · 27/11/2018 18:54

@rollerskatadata what youve just is exactly why im having second thoughts about saying yes to the test, they did say if it comes back high they will do another test where they take some of the babies DNA from my blood to see what the risk is. Im going to have to have a big think about it again, scan is on the 17th so got till then if i want to opt out.

Can i ask why yours came back high? Was it several things or just due to your bloods?

rollerskaterdata · 27/11/2018 19:35

@fizzytonicplease it's really good that these days they can test baby's DNA without an invasive test, that wasn't available when I was pregnant with DS. If it had been an option then I would've done that test (think it's called NIPT?)

It was something in my blood. The fluid at the back of his neck was perfect but something in my blood really shot my risk right up. I can't remember what it was exactly though. I figured if it was something about my blood and not pregnancy hormones / proteins, it hasn't changed in the last 4 years so I'd probably get another high risk result this time around and then needlessly worry! I was not prepared to put myself through that again!

It's a tough and personal decision, all I can say is have a good hard think about it and the implications for you either way x

fizzytonicplease · 27/11/2018 20:21

Thankyou @rollerskatadata currently got DH reading all the leaflets to help with the decision.

rollerskaterdata · 27/11/2018 21:08

@fizzytonicplease glad I could help. Try not to worry though, odds are you'll get a low risk result rather than a high one x

hope you get some reassurance from the GP @thinkcalmthoughts - weird to feel so off with the symptoms.

@ellikopter my symptoms have worn off so now adjusted my dates going by the early AF - fingers crossed for Dec!!

Thinkcalmthoughts · 28/11/2018 23:41

@LillianFullStop

Hope so too. Things have settled down a bit since the weekend after clear disharge which could only be ovulation. Today have discomfort in lower abdomen but could be anything

Dtd on Sun so fingers crossed no AF in Dec

Ellikopter · 01/12/2018 16:56

How's everyone doing ? Any updates lol

waitingforbaby2 · 01/12/2018 17:45

No updates here @Ellikopter as I'm only in the TWW, AF/BFP due somewhere between 9th to 14th December but I'm not very hopeful as because I have a terrible cough and cold at the moment we only managed to DTD twice in the fertile week anyway how r u doing?

LillianFullStop · 01/12/2018 23:00

No updates yet @ellikopter - AF due 14 so fingers crossed. Didn’t catch fertile window til halfway - have a feeling we missed it this month Confused

LillianFullStop · 02/12/2018 09:45

@waitingforbaby2 - looks like we’re in the same 2WW!

waitingforbaby2 · 02/12/2018 17:13

@LillianFullStop it's nice to have someone to talk to at the same stage of ttc fingers crossed we both get our BFP this month, how long have u been trying for?

LillianFullStop · 02/12/2018 17:24

I hope so @waitingforbaby2! Would be nice for us to get the good news for Christmas and I don’t even mind having to miss out on a Christmas tipple. Dec is cycle 2 for me and DD was 2 in Oct so really hoping for a 3 year gap which is ideal for our family.

Had a weird early AF in Nov so thought it was implantation bleed but no it was just a weird early AF as I got a BFN when I tested.

Fingers crossed! When will you test?
