We seem to have filled up our last thread so here is a new one.

A wonderful bunch of ladies supporting each other through the ttc journey when trying for a first baby after 35.

Goodluck to all ladies we can do it Smile

@Melamine thanks! Still feeling queasy here. Looking at food makes me feel sick. Haven't eaten since Wednesday night. Just drinking water

Chelonia · 19/10/2018 11:39

@79andnotout thanks, yep the acne is pretty upsetting and affects my confidence etc. I had just had enough last week when one of my lovely colleagues sidled up to me to gently tell me my face was bleeding - when the cysts are healing they get really itchy, I think I must have scratched it without thinking 😔
We still haven't gotten around to DTD , I'm probably going to ovulate tonight, and (probably due to sitting in the sun and maybe not drinking enough today) I feel like I could be getting a UTI?!? WE HAVEN'T EVEN GONE NEAR EACH OTHER!!! Very cross.
Anyway, back to the cups - even with pushing it as far up as it would go, my stem would poke out. Think my cervix is super low during AF.
I hope everyone has a lovely weekend, I'm hanging out for another BFP on this thread! Speaking of which, are we getting near the end of this one? 🤔

Beeseeinya · 19/10/2018 17:41

Sweet, sweet gin. Nectar of the gods. Who needs bfp!

BambiOnIce80 · 19/10/2018 18:34

I hear you @Beeseeinya! My haul from the good food show today🍸😎 Didn't bother POAS this morning because I'm pretty sure AF is just round the corner (let's hope so after the amount of gin I sampled today! 😳).

Pleased to say that DP should be back at work soon - relieved doesn't quite cover it 😊 I can stop stressing about that and get back to obsessing about TTC instead 😂

Evening ladies. I have just been catching up on 2 days of thread! 😊.

Sorry to hear some are unwell but keeping my 🤞 that a few bfp come this way very soon.

DP has been unwell my end too, so good job I thought about having a mini break from ttc. I’ve made some plans that take me to the end of the month, so that will be my break. Then I’m getting back to it, hopefully with a clearer and calmer mind.

Sorry AF maybe on the way @Bambi but like you said, atleast you can make good use out of the gin 👍. I have a strawberry and cream baileys waiting for me.

Everyone looking forward to the weekend? I know I am!

Chelonia · 19/10/2018 21:20

@BambiOnIce that's great news about DP getting work! You must be so relieved!!

Russkispy · 20/10/2018 08:41

Diarrhea and sickness in full swing this morning and I haven't even eaten anything for the past 2 days. Am at work now and drinking peppermint tea. I do not have any explanation for this. Roll on Tuesday so I can test and have answers to it all!

Kescilly · 20/10/2018 14:09

That can't be good to go without food! Can you go to the GP for something for your nausea, @Russkispy?

MrsRRC · 20/10/2018 15:21

Hi ladies,

I got my bfp this morning, 11 dpo on the cbafm. I am excited but worried that such a strong positive at this time in my cycle is a bad sign.

It was a bit of a surprise. I very nearly fell off the toilet.

MrsRRC · 20/10/2018 15:25

I am not due Af for another 7 days.

Russkispy · 20/10/2018 15:52

Oh wow @MrsRRC , massive congratulations! Tentative congratulations!

BambiOnIce80 · 20/10/2018 16:59

OMG @MrsRRC!! Congratulations!! 💖 I told you no symptoms was a symptom within itself!! 😂

Kescilly · 20/10/2018 17:18

Congrats!!! How are you feeling?

Try not to worry too much about getting a positive now, 11dpo would be plenty of time if you implanted early.

MrsRRC · 20/10/2018 18:41

Thank you @Russkispy @BambiOnIce80 and @Kescilly for the kind words ❤️

It’s been a high drama day, I pranged my Dad’s brand new car (on loan because mine is so unreliable) picking my brother in law up from the airport (My husbands parents are having a marriage crisis and it’s all very sad) in the early hours of this morning. Got the BFP and then had to ring my parents to tell them what happened, and was in a total state when I went to drop the car off. So highly emotional, it seems. Which is most unlike me!

Just sitting on the sofa trying to absorb the day - my husband left for Portsmouth about half an hour after my impromptu test so we haven’t really had any time alone as my brother in law is staying with us this weekend.

I only tested on a whim because I though I might take my brother in law out for a few gins tonight!

79andnotout · 21/10/2018 06:39

@MrsRRC congratulations, and very happy for you!

That sounds like a stressful day. Hope you get some calm and peace with your OH to absorb the news soon. And cars are there to be pranged, in my opinion! (This is why I'll never get a new car, it's just asking for trouble). Hope your father was ok about it.

Chelonia · 21/10/2018 07:04

Congratulations @MrsRRC that's brilliant news. Flowers

Blondcat · 21/10/2018 09:27

Congratulations @mrsrrc. I agree the car can be fixed also why I don't buy brand new.

CNizzle · 21/10/2018 09:40

Congratulations @MrsRRC fab news! but what a stressful day! The car will get fixed, and hopefully everything else will get sorted too.
I just got a peak on cbfm this morning so hopefully oh will wake up soon! We had a party in a bowling club last night as the final part of his birthday celebrations, he's milked this one completely! So I'm allowing him a lie-in!

MrsRRC · 21/10/2018 10:18

Thanks @79andnotout @blondcat @CNizzle and @chelonia

I am feeling much better about the car now after a good nights sleep. I did do another test when I woke up this morning just to confirm that it wasn’t all a dream yesterday. Just waiting for my husband to come home from doing the great south run so that we can actually talk about it!!

@CNizzle the cbfm is absolutely fab about I’ll be recommending it to anyone I know who is trying. That’s very generous, letting him lie in 😁 sounds like you and the OH have had a fab week celebrating. Fingers xd for a super positive outcome for you Xx

Carley32 · 21/10/2018 10:22

@MrsRRC congratulations that is fantastic new 💕💐. I agree no stress needs to be wasted on a car. I hope you get some time to absorb and smile with OH soon xxx

MrsRRC · 21/10/2018 11:34

Thank you @Carley32 Sending good vibes to you 💕

Chelonia · 22/10/2018 05:12

Oh my word, I've hurt my back Angry I just bent slightly to pick up my shopping basket (didn't even get as far as grabbing the handle) and twang, my lower back grabs me like an electric current has run though it. Quite took my breath away.
All this means I have been staggering around the house holding the small of my back, lowering myself gingerly onto the sofa and then rising again like..... a heavily pregnant lady Sad. I know that it sounds weird but it's making me quite sad! (before any pregnant ladies attempt to beat me with their tummy bands I'm aware it's not much fun being heavily pregnant with a bad back either!) The pain is also radiating around the pelvis to the lower abdo too so I'm rubbing my lower belly to ease that, and pacing the house because I'm not comfortable in any sitting, lying or crouching position..... what a mindf**k! Oh, and as I'm in the TWW (well, more like 9 days now..) I am only taking that wellknown good-for-nothing painkiller, paracetamol. Angry
Anyway. @Russkispy how are you feeling? @Carley32 Strawberries and Cream Baileys?! What is this witchcraft you speak of?? Shock

79andnotout · 22/10/2018 14:20

That sounds painful @Chelonia. Hope it clicks back into place, or the paracetamol help in some way...

MrsRRC · 22/10/2018 15:11

Oh @chelonia sounds terrible. Any improvement?

I rang the GP today to ask what I need to do and apparently all I had to do was go down and fill out a form which will be passed to the midwife and they’ll get in touch in ‘a few weeks’ - I honestly thought they’d want me to come in for a test or something. Oh well, just shows what I know!

BambiOnIce80 · 22/10/2018 15:54

Ouch, that sounds pretty awful @Chelonia 😞 Have you got a chiropractor you can call on?

Hope you managed to get some DingTD in @CNizzle?! Hope you're feeling better too @Russkispy?

Everywhere's different @MrsRRC, but the common theme seems to be that not an awful lot happens before between 8-12 weeks (they should call it the 4WW!). Did you manage to have a good chat with DP last night?

AF turned up for me last night, so no surprises there and at least that meant that I didn't have to cancel my CD0-5 bloods this morning 💉👍🏻 CD21 progesterone result was >30, so apparently inkeeping with ovulation for the local reference range (phew! 😪). DP has his appointment with lovely doctor lady tonight, so will hopefully get his follow up SA result... watch this space 🤞🏻
