We seem to have filled up our last thread so here is a new one.

A wonderful bunch of ladies supporting each other through the ttc journey when trying for a first baby after 35.

Damn you AF! 😡 I had high hopes for you this month @79andnotout with those lovely BFP OPK's and your weekend away 😔 Sounds like you're being super proactive with your fitness plan. Booze is my main calorie problem and I've been really lazy with the running for the past 3 months 🙄 We're off to Italy in 2 weeks time, so I think I'm going to wait until after all the wine, salami and pasta before I force myself into action again!

Keeping busy is a big help @Carley32 - I hope the distractions work 🤞🏻

I might test on Friday if I've not got any obvious signs of AF by then. We're off to the good food show that day and there's no way I'm staying away from all the free samples of booze, salami, blue chesse, pâte, etc if AF is just going to rock up on Saturday! Screw you AF! 🍾🥂😝

@BambiOnIce80 - thanks. I had a vague hope it might be implantation but it's a full on AF now. Norfolking baby this time!

Oh yeah I'd definitely wait until after the holiday to get back on it. Cheese and salami and wine sounds too good. Fingers crossed for Friday testing though!

I'm just here to say I feel really weird. I have had a day sitting behind a desk in the office with no stress but I feel bloody exhausted. I am also STARVING and feel weird and foggy behind the eyes. My mouth tastes weird and on both the journey to and from work the person opposite me on the train is eating sweets and I keep getting a waft of poo smell.

So if I am not pregnant then my brain is being very cruel indeed!
Cannot wait to get home and sofa crash!! Still no AF (though things feel kinda juicy down there iykwim)

@79andnotout!! 😂🤣😂🤣 I'm a Norfolk girl born and bred - the list of things you can add 'Norfolking' to is pretty extensive, but that's the first time I've seen it teamed with a baby 😂

I'd definitely be reaching for the FRER's in the morning with that list of symptoms @Beeseeinya. Fingers-crossed for you 🤞🏻

So. DP went for his repeat SA today (first one had "insufficient volume"). He messaged to say he's a bit worried because he doesn't think there's going to be enough there for them to complete the testing again 🤔 He's very self-assured, so it's pretty unusual for him to be "a bit worried"... Apologies in advance for the TMI, but I haven't really ever noticed how much jiz he does or doesn't have! 😳 I certainly haven't ever stopped and thought "hmmm... DP certainly has less jiz than any of the exes 🤔"! From what I've read, it's not really about the volume of the fluid, but the sperm count within it that matters, so I'm not really sure what it'll mean for us, if anything 😕

It'll certainly be interesting to see what the lovely GP lady has to say to him on Monday...

@Bambionice80 maybe he has a little performance anxiety when he goes in to do it! Time for some home experiments? ;)

Picked up a pack of frers for tomorrow morning. My cheapo tests came in the post today too so I will test to my heart's content

P.s. clear Blue tests (all kinds including ov) are 3 for 2 at the mo. Not sure if that makes them cheaper than Amazon prices. I think it was 11-something for a 2 pack of normal tests, 13.99 for advanced digital 1 pack

@Bambionice how long did he wait for the SA results (or call-back in his case) ? Weve just to wait on a letter for OH results, and he didnt ask how long it would take(typical). Perhaps not all of his err sample made it into the pot?!

@CNizzle they told him they'd be ready in a week the first time and they were, so I'm optimistic that the repeat results will be there on Monday (if the surgery has an electronic data link then I reckon they'll actually be there within 48 hours for a SA, but it could be paper based and take a week). We broached the 'over-shot-the-pot' scenario last time, but I'm assured that was not the case. He also had investigations with his ex a few years ago (she had a full blown autoimmune thyroid disorder) and he remembers that the volume was low then too, but the count was fine. We'll see what the doc says on Monday 🙄 I hope your DP's results turn up in the next week too 🤞🏻

I seriously want to get a little fitter and healthier. It’s just getting the get up and go, to do so! It’s so easy to moan about the millions of things we have to do first.

My OH's semen analysis took a week to come back, and that was private. I think they might do some tests that take a few days? I can't remember, and he is the king of paranoia so wouldn't send me the results, would only show me on his phone, in case Google/Mega-Corp got their hands on it. IT geek + global paranoia is a heady combination.

@Carley32 - the worst bit is just starting. After a couple of weeks you start to feel better. I'm actually loving the classes even though when my alarm goes off at 6am I contemplate bailing on them every morning. Once I put my foot out of the bed though, I'm on it.

Oops sorry to keep you in suspense, very busy workshop day today. Cheapy was a bfn! Still no AF. Doesnt even feel like its coming. Mystery.

@terriwrist snap! - Also 38 next month. I broke my thermometer a while ago, but never replaced it. I honestly didn't find it that helpful and found that there were so many factors to take into consideration it made it more of a la n than anything. But you might find it just the opposite! I used a digital one from Tesco.

@NotMaryWhitehouse - As I'm not sure I've ovulated this month I've ordered this one... it seems to have 2 decimal places. @beeseeinyah the world of PMS is a cruel one and I have had every pregnancy symptom going and then ended up not pregnant. However, it does sound promising for you so I am keeping my fingers crossed.

@79andnotout sorry about AF, still a cruel world. At least you have knowledge of your tests that will take you into next month.

I also have a good feeling for some good news on this thread too. Not sure who it will be and when but it will be soon! Hopefully it is us all, at least by the end of 2018!

For me, I have terrible skin - about 6-7 large cystic spots all over my face which is making me feel terrible. I think I ovulated about CD15 (now on CD19) but my temp rise has been pretty low. Acupuncture is still ongoing twice a week. I have just paid for another 5 sessions which is another 2 weeks and then I am going to try to go for once a week for another month and then I will probably stop.....

@79. I will start. What better incentive than exercise relieves stress which helps to make a baby! I will start I WILL. I’ll let you know when 😳.

@beeseeinya that is confusing. But I agree with @Bambi negatives can be wrong, so your not out until AF appears.

@edidxb my skin seems to break out a lot more since I stopped the pill. But strangely and on a positive note.... I don’t suffer with severe headaches since stopping and I also had roseaca, which is now almost clear 😊. Although I’m sure my hair is falling out by the hour (and I don’t have much to lose).

Ok so after saying that I was feeling fine and symptom free, I am feeling decidedly off, not sure if I am coming down with something.

I have started to feel quite sick this evening, it comes in waves, and when there was discussion of dinner it made me feel even worse.

And my boobs ache. Not badly, and not on the nipple, just around the outsides of my boobs. This started last night and only seems to come on in the evening. However this happened last month and I was on a road to nothing.

I am 10 days away from my period so I reckon I am being struck down by some manner of plague. 🧟‍♀️

Sorry you're feeling off @MrsRRC 💐 How many dpo are you? I had plague last cycle 🤒 Had a really strong, odd taste in my mouth and my inner symptom spotting psycho made an awfully big deal out of that 🤪 AF then rocked up and the viral nastiness hit me like a sledge hammer 🤧 Hope your nausea is a preggers symptom and not a sign of plague🤞🏻🍀
