We seem to have filled up our last thread so here is a new one.

A wonderful bunch of ladies supporting each other through the ttc journey when trying for a first baby after 35.

Goodluck to all ladies we can do it Smile

@Carley32 I think they’re just very clear.” And unambiguous. But lots of people use the cheapie strips and that works for them, too!

@Melamine will be hoping for good news!

Now I really want a slice of cheesecake, @PixieN. Glad you’re feeling better!

I’m going back and forth on testing this week before we’re off on Saturday. One app was predicting AF would arrive today, another is saying not until Sunday.

CNizzle · 20/09/2018 00:08

FX for you @melamine
I did think brown was a bit unusual for normal, but everyone has their own thang. No judging here, thinking you were talking about your "been washed with dark stuff a million times" pants Grin

Carley32 · 20/09/2018 07:10

@melamine that has made me chuckle 😂. But each to their own! 😂😂. 🤞🤞 for you.

@Kescilly oh really. Maybe I should invest in them. I was kind of hoping that the cheapies were rubbish. Becaus if I’m following them I don’t ovulate at all.... well for atleast 3 weeks anyway 🙈.
Hopefully my cycle is still trying to return to normal! Either way I think I will book a doctors appointment soon. It has been 5 months and only 1 AF.

@CNizzle sorry about hospital! That’s shit!!
Glad your feeling a little better though xx

Hope you all have a lovely day girls. The weekend is just round the corner xx

Kescilly · 20/09/2018 07:29

I felt off yesterday and this morning, but no sign of AF. I’m only 12dpo but had a feeling and did a test this morning. It was positive! But in shock right now. Never thought I’d see a positive test.

Carley32 · 20/09/2018 07:32

@Kescilly wow that is amazing lots of little cheers and a happy dance for you 😊.
Have you told DH yet?
How are you feeling? Xx

Blondcat · 20/09/2018 07:47

@kescilly yay congratulations great news to wake up to.

@carley32 signs of ovulation can be (though not everyone gets these) ewcm and minor cramps (usually one side).

@Kescilly that's fabulous news to wake up to!! 🎉😍🎉 Congratulations!! 💖 And there was you thinking you were out this month! 😂

CNizzle · 20/09/2018 07:52

@Kescilly fantastic news!! Smile

79andnotout · 20/09/2018 07:54

Yay @Kescilly - great news!!

Kescilly · 20/09/2018 08:27

Thanks guys! I still can’t believe it.

@Carley32 I woke him up and told him but he’s very slow in the mornings. We both sort of stared at each other in shock and then had lots of cuddles. 😊

I was definitely feeling cramps yesterday, like AF was about to start. I did think I was out, @BambiOnIce80! My breasts have been sore on and off, definitely not continuous, so I kept thinking AF was going to show. But this morning I thought something felt different and went straight for a test.

I’m not sure about what to do now. The GP has told me previously that I’d see a consultant if I ever became pregnant because of a few conditions that I have. And it’s so early but I’m not sure if I should check with them about current meds.

We are off to see my family next week so it would be my only chance to tell them in person, but I feel like it would be too early.

Melamine · 20/09/2018 08:28

@kescilly brilliant news!!!! Yay!

Glad that made everyone chuckle too, need lightness to counteract the worry. I’d say the white pants yesterday definitely have a hint of greige from accidental dark washing 🤣

QuantumGirl · 20/09/2018 09:18

Congratulations @Kescilly that's fantastic news 😍🤰💐xx

Noodella18 · 20/09/2018 09:49

@kescilly ace news! Congratulations!!

@melamine I know it must be so hard given your mmc but try not to worry. I've heard that spotting is TOTALLY normally, loads of my mates had it and had normal pregnancies, and I've also had it the last week or so (and been worried) but have been reassured by GP partner that it's normal. Apparently your cervix is just a bit more sensitive and more likely to bleed a little bit - I've definitely noticed it more after I've done vigorous exercise and had sex. Very best of luck with your scan. When's your midwife appt? I found it quite reassuring doing a Clearblue test yesterday which confirmed that my HCG levels are where they should be, maybe that would help ease your mind a bit during the wait? xx

Noodella18 · 20/09/2018 09:50

Just to clarify, the Clearblue test was the one with the weeks, which is how I know my levels are doing ok.

TheNewbieStep · 20/09/2018 09:58

@Kescilly

Whoop!!!! Awesome news!!!! So thrilled we got some BFP news!!!!

I'm now 14 days post ov (day 29) which is as long as my cycle ever is...AF is still a no show.... and I had the strangest nights sleep up at 4:30 am - convinced a BFP was on its way xxx 🤔

Russkispy · 20/09/2018 10:14

@Kescilly fantastic news!! Everything crossed for you!

BambiOnIce80 · 20/09/2018 10:29

@TheNewbieStep, that does sound very promising indeed 🤞🏻 You could most definitely have had a false BFN on the FRER (that's why I'm not a big fan of them and also decided to forgo them this morning 👍🏻).

@Kescilly, it might be a good idea to go to the GP and just double check your meds in view of being pregnant. Certainly can't hurt to be on the safe side.x

TheNewbieStep · 20/09/2018 14:54

And it's an AF for me. Ffs.

TheNewbieStep · 20/09/2018 14:55

So I ate a massive lump of Brie and will soften the blow with a decent glass of wine tonight x

Noodella18 · 20/09/2018 15:02

@newbie oh noooo, bad luck :( xx

Blondcat · 20/09/2018 15:07

@thenewbiestep sorry af got you cheese and wine it is 🍷🧀

InDreamland · 20/09/2018 15:13

Hi everyone.

Dropped off here for a bit as not easy keeping up with this thread and the TTC after pregnancy loss thread too- they move so quickly. AF showed bang on time last week so was feeling really low about that but at least body seems to be getting back to normal after the mc. So I'm now on cycle 2 post mc and CD8. Started on OPKs again this morning.

Congratulations @kescilly and anyone else who's had a BFP recently that I've missed.

79andnotout · 20/09/2018 15:29

Ugh @TheNewbieStep, that's pants. So shit to get your hopes up like that.

Welcome back @InDreamland

I'm awaiting my AMH results. They have them, they just wont give them to me until they've been signed off by the doc. C'mon doc!

Kescilly · 20/09/2018 16:51

I'm sorry about AF, @TheNewbieStep. I was hoping this was your month.

Thanks @InDreamland, and welcome back!

@79andnotout did they give you any indication when that would be?

@BambiOnIce80 I have a phone appointment with the practice nurse tomorrow, so I hope that's enough. They didn't give me any idea of what to do next though. How are you today? Wine tasting tonight, right?

79andnotout · 20/09/2018 17:50

@Kescilly still nothing! I didn't pay £150 for this service, dammit. I'm guessing it will be tomorrow now
