MrsWednesday · 15/09/2004 10:20

Good morning to everyone,

Sorry to everyone who has had AF and to those who think they are getting it. It is a complete nightmare.

Minnie1 - if you don't mind me asking, how long ago was your D&C? I had one in April and it is only now that my cycles have settled down (although I did have another very early miscarriage two months ago which threw them out again).

Here's a bit of info about me:
Age 33
DH 35
Been married 4 1/2 years, together for 6.
TTC no 2 since January 04, with one missed miscarriage and one early miscarriage so far this year.
From: Leeds.
DS: 2 next week.

I'm horribly nervous about trying again - I really want to be pregnant before my due date in November which is making me feel under pressure, which isn't having a good effect on BD - not good when it's coming up to ovulation time.

MINNIE1 · 15/09/2004 10:50

MrsWednesday,
Sorry to hear you m/c MrsWednesday,I had the D&C in June. My last AF was very heavy with alot of clots (sorry for intimate details)it was very heavy for 2 days. After what you have said i hope mine returns to normal soon... Did'nt like the whole D&C experiance at all (not that i should have)but in the hospital i was givin a tablet internal to dilate me, I was left like that for 6 hours OMG the pain.. Sorry you only asked when i had it..

runtus · 15/09/2004 10:55

Sweetheart - how did it go with your dd? Hope all ok.....

sweetheart · 15/09/2004 11:05

Sorry, really busy at work this morning what a bummer - my boss is in causing mayhem - we call him Captain Chaous - hopefully he'll sod off to the gold course soon so I can catch up on my MN gossip

My dd did me proud this morning. She was such a good girl - although I did find out a horrible little boy has been transferred into her class which I was quite annoyed about

Anyway, I'll be popping off to pick her up at 12. Hopefully I'll be able to chat this aft

Thanks for asking runtus

sweetheart · 15/09/2004 11:06

sorry, meant golf course!!

krocket · 15/09/2004 11:19

thanks millie and hulababy, I actually feel fairly ok about it. I think I need to try and relax a bit more. Have bought some starflower oil.

If it's ok with everyone I think it might be time to start a new thread? this one is geting very long

MrsWednesday · 15/09/2004 11:21

Minnie1, it sounds like a horrible experience. The whole thing is just awful, isn't it? My op kept being delayed so I had to starve myself for a day and a half, and stay overnight in the hospital in a ward on my own.

AF for me has been a lot heavier since the D&C, no idea why but it's not nice. I get upset every time it arrives, only partly because I know I'm not pregnant - it's mainly because the blood reminds me of the miscarriages. Sorry for going on...

Can I ask for some advice? What's the best way to tell if I'm ovulating? I can't see myself temping as I'm not that organised, but I keep reading about test sticks for ovulation and I don't know what they are! I also don't seem to have the same fertile signs (EWCM etc) that I did before my D&C. Does this mean I'm not ovulating? Help!

sweetheart · 15/09/2004 11:27

MrsW,

You can get ovulation tests from Boots, Superdrug etc

I would recommend the Medisave website as they are alot chepaer on there. They are just like doing a preg test but it tells you if you are ovulating.

krocket - i agree, maybe it's time for ttc 9.2

krocket · 15/09/2004 11:28

Mrs Wednesday - come to the new thread - this one is getting too long
Trying to conceive 10

krocket · 15/09/2004 12:42

sorry everyone, i messed up. Didn't appreciate the protocol that this stays as the thread utnil person starting it gets pregnant.
Just htough it was taking ages to load. no offense intended {slinks off in shame}

this is the proper ttc thread (ignore the other one)

Tessiebear · 15/09/2004 12:44

Krocket - i left you a message on ttc ..10 - also you could possibly suggest that beckiF re-starts thread 10 if it is taking everyone ages to load

Tessiebear · 15/09/2004 12:45

or thread 9.1?

Tania2 · 15/09/2004 12:47

We really do need to start a new one. If your about BeckiF then can you start one obviously it cant be 10 cause there are two now. 9.1 sounds good though.

Geordie · 15/09/2004 12:49

...didn't realise that there was a protocol for atarting the new thread either-.....well you live and learn...have we all kissed and made up yet...and sent all our spare babdust to becki....

krocket · 15/09/2004 12:51

I've emailed tech to ask them to delete ttc...10 (well the one I inadvertedly started, not responsbile for hte other one)

runtus · 15/09/2004 12:53

I read about cervix checking on Fertility Friend, basically (and trying to not get to graphic here you try to feel the texture and position of your cervix each day at around the same time, so as to identify the different stages in your cycle. You are fertile when it feels high (i.e hard to reach), soft and open. Can be fiddly and I have found it is easiest to do if you take all your bottom clothing off and put one leg up on the loo seat......so best not to try and do at work!

Have a look on: www.fertilityfriend.com/HelpCenter/FFBook/ff_fertility_signs.html#45 ( Ican't get the link to insert properly but copy and paste this link into your browser)

I can just see you all now, scurrying off to the toilets!

MINNIE1 · 15/09/2004 12:59

never knew about this protocol (i'm new so i'm still learning from you).. its one way of learning how this site works...

Tania2 · 15/09/2004 13:01

Gee runtus your keen i'll take your word for it but if you get pg this month i'll look into it.

Tania2 · 15/09/2004 13:02

BeckiF ~ where are you. we need you to start the next thread.

Tessiebear · 15/09/2004 13:03

LOL Runtus

sweetheart · 15/09/2004 13:05

I had no idea we had a protocol to follow
