sweetheart · 14/09/2004 11:36

This thread has been quite quiet recently - perhaps it's just because my cycle is opposite to most of you. My af is due around the weekend, I'm cd23

Where is everyone?!?!?!?!?

Not that i'm not enjoying your company Runtus!!!!

ebbie22 · 14/09/2004 11:49

BeckiF · 14/09/2004 12:02

Hi all ... I'm still here just confused and depressed at the mo . Still no af and bfn all the time.

On the matter of bd, my dp is an absolute star! He is up for lovin' all day every day without fail! In fact, in the 6.5 years we have been "togevver" he has only turned me down twice as he was most ill! He doesn't understand guys that don't want to get it on with their ladies, but as I explain, not everyone is such a stud-muffin as he is! LOL None the less, for all of our "Love action" we are still childless ...... and I feel at 34 I'm getting on a bit

OP posts:
sweetheart · 14/09/2004 12:03

BeckiF,

you are still way ahead of some people. My sisters are 33 & 34 and neither of them even have boyfriends. One of them still lives at home with my mum and dad.

Hopefully the fact you've had no af means there is something happening. What cd are you???

Geordie · 14/09/2004 12:24

oh anyone else still breastfeeding??

krocket · 14/09/2004 12:27

Becki- it will happen for you, and 34 is not old at all, there are lots of Mumsnetters who had their first at much older than that. Hugs to you.

My AF is due tomorrow and I already have cramps - sigh, another month goes by

MINNIE1 · 14/09/2004 12:43

Day 32 no AF, did test and got BFN. Nearly a year trying... just starting to wonder will it ever happen!!!

Tania2 · 14/09/2004 13:06

Hi girls, sorry to those how are getting the BFN and Af arriving.
Good news: you know how i have seen a natrapath well a friend of a friend is seeing her too and she has been ttc for 6 yrs had 3 mc failed ivf and guess what SHE IS PG!! she was told the excact same thing as me take chinese medi and herbal drops for two weeks then see her again for the fertility medi and the next time she sees her she will be pg and yes it worked WOW this has given me so much more confidence now. fingers crossed it works for me too.

runtus · 14/09/2004 13:37

Sorry been away from my pc for a bit (they actually expect me to work, can you believe it?!)but I'm back now.

My stats are:

29 yrs old
dp is 35
been together 2.5 years
ttc #1 since May

live in the South and pretty much always have except uni in Liverpool

BeckiF - you are so not too old! I know it is depressing but try to stay positive, you never know whats just around the corner

Sallie · 14/09/2004 13:39

Oh my goodness! Tested this morning again on CD34 and got a BFP with a Clearblue digital. My head is still reeling from the shock as my dd is only 7 months. Ok - we were sort of ttc but still.....it is the first month of restarting persona again. Am throwing the machine away once I have had no 3 - all being well of course!

Geordie · 14/09/2004 13:40

Congratulations Sallie,

Great News...have a happy and healthy pregnancy

Geordie

sweetheart · 14/09/2004 13:42

you do make me laugh runtus That is EXACTLY my theory about work as well.

I have a pile of stuff in my in-tray i really must get round to (if only i could just drag myself away from MN for 5 mins!!!!!)

Tania, sounds like the money you spend on this chinese stuff is going to be well worth it. Don't forget to let us all know what it's called so we can all rush out and buy it.

sweetheart · 14/09/2004 13:45

blimey you weren't here long Sallie, congrat and hopefully we'll all see you soon on a due Juneish thread

BeckiF · 14/09/2004 13:51

WHAT CD AM I?? ABOUT 300 AND SOMETHING! sERIOUSLY! IT'S BEEN A YEAR SINCE MY LAST AF ....

When I went the hospital the other week they did a pg test and I got the usual bfn there that I get every week at home!

One good thing about today ... I started collecting the Zorbit range of nursery items in a certain theme about 4 years ago and it was discontinued a few years back. Just found someone selling a load! HAZAHH! Collecting it tonight! I must have more baby stuff than any other childless woman I know, sad, but it keeps me sane and keeps me hopeful.

runtus · 14/09/2004 13:54

Congrats Sallie - whats your secret woman??

I think I might be on a high after last nights events Sweetheart! Beginning to wish I had sent him to night school ages ago!

Life is too short to be hung up about work, I've always loathed peopl that really enjoy their jobs - it just isnt natural!

sweetheart · 14/09/2004 14:00

BeckiF, Have you been tested for PCOS or anything??? Sorry you've probably already said but it's quicker to ask!!!

Runtus,
All that lovin' has certainly put a spring in your step - compaired to how down you seemed when we started speaking yesterday.

I totally take the piss at work (although I probably shouldn't admit that!!!!)
I work to live NOT live to work (that's my fav moto!!!)

runtus · 14/09/2004 14:08

I know, I feel like I've got "I had sex last night" tattooed on my forehead! I'm sure someone at work is going to say something soon becuase I am normally a right miserable cow at work .

I was jist saying to my mate yesterday, why didn't we decide to be professional snooker players or something when we were kids, then we could spend all day at home and just have a little practise when we feel up to it?!

BeckiF · 14/09/2004 14:08

Yup I have and they say I have all the symptoms but not showing the cysts! Got all the facial hair and weight probs, but am on 3mg of Metformin a day which took a long time to get up to! My doc holds me up as an example of one of the few people they have got up to this level that has tolerated it! I'm waiting to start IVF (ICSI) which is just there waiting for me ... just got to lose a bit more weight. Lost a stone recently but am static at the mo.
