August bus

Thought I'd start this one. This is my first bus and would love to chat with other's TTC in August.

Stats:
Age: 26
TTC number: 1!
Cycle: 1st officially TTC, although was a chance last cycle
CD: 6 of 27-29 day cycle
BFP/AF due: 2nd Augst

I'm trying to really prepare my body as much as possible for pregnancy. Trying to lose some weight and strengthen my core and back as I've got crap core and lower back muscles which worry me a bit in terms of pregnancy

I really hope this is your month then @Spottyyellowdress, it's brilliant to know we're all going through it together. My DH is great...but I think it's best he doesn't know how much I'm already obsessing about getting those two little lines!

Just had a thought when does everyone count dpo? I’ve been counting from the day I got my blazing positive but now I think I should be counting from at least the day after that! Which would make me 9/10dpo?? X

@Lubilu28 I count the day after my positive opk (static clear blue smiley) as ovulation day, so 2 days after my positive as 1dpo. Someone else might know better than me though! X

What day does everyone count as cd1? I always used to say the day I started bleeding but my FS said it's the day after. My app says the same as me but my CBFM says the same as him 🤦🏼‍♀️

CD1 is the first day of your period.

You can ovulate same day or following day after positive opk as it's 12-36 hours from your surge .. I temp and use the dip in temp as well as the opk & cm x

@buntingandstarcharts I have been laughing loudly on the train at that one. Hahaha. Rubbish afternoon at work and now going home late but going to get on to the dtd ASAP! Just in case there's any possibility of bleeding before ovulation. I'm sure the bleeding is nothing to do with dtd it wasn't especially vigorous. It's very odd, I now have just a little bit of old blood (brown) when I wipe (sorry tmi).

@buntingandstarcharts Sunday might well be enough. Have you done another test today? Any joy?

My husband is loving ttc, not just for the DTD but I’m cleaning, going to the gym with him and walking the dogs to try take my bloody mind of the 2WW! X

8dpo. Resisted futile testing with ic's. Had very big dip in bbt this morning, nearly to coverline. Extreme nausea! Have run to the loo twice but nothing comes up - just super duper queasy. Still wondering if I've got a tummy bug! Also weird horrid taste in my mouth. Symptom spotting.... what's that? 😂

@AmyRhodes did you test again this am? Hoping it's a BFP 👍

I think I am having an anovulatory cycle. Does anyone else experience these? Feel like I should probably get off this bus and head to a different post :(

I did - and it's positive! The line is fainter than before but clearly visible. Is that something to worry about?

@AmyRhodes I'd say another positive is great news! I guess concentration of wee etc can have an effect on the line strength. Congrats!

@giraffe888 how are you getting on? I've not tested yet but prob will tomorrow as AF due. Couldn't sleep last night and spent ages symptom spotting 😐

I hate this heat!

DH really struggled dtd last night. Combination of the heat and the pressure I think. Without going into the sordid details, I don't know what we did will be "enough". I haven't worked so hard for anything before!

Got a peak OPK on Monday so really want to dtd again tonight, but don't want to be piling on the pressure. I'm so frustrated because it was DH who insisted we wait until August before trying, & I think he thought we could just randomly do it once & boom! Pregnant! I'm feeling even more pressured that it needs to work now because we've waited much longer than I would have chosen to.

I'm trying hard not to feel let down by his attitude and that makes me feel guilty...

I know this is a common theme, and it seems it's always us that had to manage our own & our partners feelings. It's just a lot to handle.

I’m getting so frustrated with myself I just wish I could wait until AF due date to test but I can’t help but think if I was pregnant I would have a faint line by now??

Still early days I guess saving my other FRER till Friday when af is due!!

I woke up in the middle of the night having some quite painful cramping! Hoping it’s implantation but probably AF on her way!! X

@muddyelephant I’m ok thanks! AF is due tomorrow. TMI but I’ve had the odd bit of pink on the tissue when I wipe after a wee a few times since Saturday so I know she’s on her way! What about you? x

@HelloBrass try to not feel too bad, I'm sure everyone has these moments at times. I think it can be a lot of pressure on our DPs to DTD at the 'right time', they're only human at the end of the day but I totally understand what you mean about feeling like you're carrying around enough pressure for the two of you. My fertile window starts in a few days (although I'm loosely following SMEP this month and as it's CD8 for me today I'll be starting today) and I'm actually feeling quite a lot of pressure myself! I wasn't expecting to feel like this so I'm trying to reconcile my own feelings at the moment. Fx you get another shot at DTD today, and fx for you that this is your month 🤞
