August bus

Thought I'd start this one. This is my first bus and would love to chat with other's TTC in August.

Stats:
Age: 26
TTC number: 1!
Cycle: 1st officially TTC, although was a chance last cycle
CD: 6 of 27-29 day cycle
BFP/AF due: 2nd Augst

I'm trying to really prepare my body as much as possible for pregnancy. Trying to lose some weight and strengthen my core and back as I've got crap core and lower back muscles which worry me a bit in terms of pregnancy

So I had an even stronger positive on both my cheapy opk and my Clearblue (CD16) we dtd twice yesterday and once when the husband came home from work this afternoon 😏🤞🏻

I think this is my last fertile day so then the tww officially begins 😬!!

Has anyone got any tips for getting through it? I’m finding it hard to get off my mind 🙈 already feeling nauseous but I think that is due to the lack of drink and this heat 😅 lol

Also I’m cramping like mad and have been since Tuesday, anyone else had this?? I thought ovulation pain so I guess it could still be due to that?!

AF due 6th August. Trying to keep calm in the 2ww. Stopped contraception in Jan but started opks last month as wasn't dtd enough! Fx for this month for everyone!

It's too hot! Saw someone on twitter earlier saying 'the only babies born nine months from now will be those with parents rich enough to have air conditioning'

According to Clue today is the very last day of my fertile window (2dpo), so I’m now onto my first ever two week wait. Any tips to prevent me driving myself and DP insane?

@Hofty keep yourself busy don't do what I do and work out the petential due date and try and work out which plans events you'll be pregnant for and start googling baby names 😂🤦🏻‍♀️ you'll be fine luckily my OH is really relaxed so he evens me out a bit ha.hope everyone's doing ok x

I've been having weird dreams. Waking up with the sweats. Twinging on my left side. Nausea. Half way thru eating something literally having to spit it out or vom.
And at the end of the day... I bet its all in my head cos I never had anything like this last time!

@MuddyElephant I'm sorry you're having a rubbish month - it sounds like you've got a lot on your plate at the moment. I hope you're feeling better soon.

@Wishful30 all the best for next Friday - I hope it rolls around quickly for you. In the meantime, is there anything you can do to take your mind off things for the week? I know it's easier said than done.

Yeah, I've been testing all week! I've succumbed to internet bulk-buying of OPKs. Hopefully something tomorrow... even a slightly darker line would be nice!

Anyone else's DH struggling a little with the idea of needing to 'perform' in your fertile window? DH hates the app... he just wants to see what happens and what will be will be

My DP also wanted to "see what happens" rather than "try for a baby", so I ditched apps and just had sex whenever.

By three months TTC I felt I was legitimately entitled to check out a bit more about how my body works and I'm back on the apps, temping etc. I just don't talk to him about it and it seems to work for us.

@piglet81 too right! I cannot even stand to hold hands with DH when we're out at the moment! Thank god for the fan

Symptom spotting continues in earnest - my nips are bloody sore! It's probably some sort of horrendous PMS after being on BC for so long but they feel like someone's bitten them (nobody has, to my knowledge at least)

last test on Sunday and then I'm going to officially give up and book a doctors app when back from holiday!

@AmyRhodes I think that's what I'll have to do. At the moment I'm only using ovia but if we aren't successful this month I am keen to try using opk

Tested this morning, BFN. I think I'm about 10 days PO, but that was just from tracking CM so who knows! Thinking I'm out and properly on the August bus because my boobs are getting less sore, but we'll see! Just going to wait for AF now, hoping it comes on time which means my cycle is getting back regular after the mini pill! Weather has cooled at least for you ladies ovulating atm!

My brain was also being really unkind to me because I had a really clear dream about getting a BFP and genuinely thought it had happened when I first woke up!! Cruel!

Sorry to hear about the bfn @jess21690. And the dream, you're not out yet though. Can I ask, what cm are you tracking from? I had a ton of ewcm last Saturday so would you track from then? I'm not doing temps or charting

I had the copper coil removed in December and we’ve been ‘loosely TTC’ since April. This month we’re going to ‘actively TTC’ so making sure we DTD more in FTW and I’m using OPK’s. Is this a positive? We only DTD on CD 12 and 14 so I know it’s unlikely to happen this month

Thank you @VenusStarr it's only my first month off the mini pill so I shouldn't have expected anything really! I'm so new to this, I had EWCM 10 days ago so I was tracking from then. Also (sorry TMI) but the night before I had this weird aching in my cervix, it was quite painful. Then on weds it was definitely softer, apparently it can hurt when it's dilating or something for ov! So I'm going off Wednesday but it could have happened earlier, later or not at all, who knows!! I'm going to give it a few months and then will maybe try temping if not successful xx

I've been TTC exactly the same amount of time as you but I've only just started using OPKs. I'm on CD20 and not a sniff of a second line 😕

BFP/AF due: who knows?? Been on the pill for a few years, last cycle was first month off it, and was 31 days long in the end. Apps saying 26th/27th August so I'll go with that!
