Starting an April thread because I couldn't see one yet.

I'm 33 (for another week!)
TTC baby number 4
Cycle 3
CD 3
BFP due 11/04

AF is nearly over here, I'll actually be fertile when DP is off work this month which helps. If I get my BFP this month I'll be due in the middle of December.

I'm invoking Murphy's law this month. I'm bound to get a BFP the week before we go for a child free week's holiday right?

@helbel42 are they they internet cheapie ones or the digital? I'm no expert but have found the digi ones a little more obvious - I got a static smiley this morning but also did a cheap opk that didn't look quite positive so I don't know which is more reliable!

@JustLikeTheySaid, that's lovely! I have far less glamorous plans to wave a pee soaked stick in DHs face! I don't know what to tell you though, buying it first makes absolute sense but then the desperate ttc-er in me completely irrationally worries about the juju! x

@JustLikeTheySaid last summer i got a babygro to present to dh. He loved it. Unfortunately it wasnt a successful pregnancy so the babygro is hidden away. I cant decide whether to do the same or just wave the stick at him (if it ever happens).

@Rach0110 I used clear blue (the static ones not the flashing ones) to confirm after I got something that looked positive on a cheapie. Maybe my body had a go and didn't quite make it, hopefully it will try again in the next few days, ordered more tests so will be checking daily for another surge! x

@JustLikeTheySaid I'm in the TWW. Was discussing with my DH earlier how exciting/special it would be to tell our families that we are having a baby when everyone gets together for my birthday (me, my dad, MIL & SIL all have birthdays within days of each other) so it would be the perfect time to break the news if we were. Currently a pipe dream. I have so many ideas of how I'd like to tell DH but I think when we get a BFP I'll be too excited to contain myself. I've booked a weekend break with the girls next month to look forward to and take the edge off...

Hi everyone. Is anyone else here due AF on the 17th? I really think I am setting myself up for a fall! I am soooo anxious! My BF is away on work now until middle of next week so I cant even annoy him with my anxiety! When is everyone going to test? I will be so disheartened if we cant have a baby this year. Especially as this one (if we fall) will be a Christmas day baby! The best Christmas present ever! I need to be less psycho!

yup still due 17/04 babybeany FRER's arrived today but saving for Thursday - January bfp was faint but definite at 9dpo. Might allow a cheeky cheapie tomorrow to preserve sanity! Saner than I felt this time last month but this final week might be testing (no pun intended) hope it treats you kindly xx

@Pob13 hahaha!! Certainly adds a flavour to the bedroom!
@hatethesnow I use the cheapie opks. Basically the line gets darker for days before your surge but it's not until the test line is as dark or darker than the control line for it to be truly positive. Once you get the true positive you ovulate 12-48 hours after that. So you could get a positive Thursday and ovulate Sat. I tend to get pretty dark lines for a day or two, then a strong positive the night before, an almost positive the next morning and if I ovulate that day, the line is much lighter the next morning.
@helbel42 this month I got practically positive opks for a few days and had the ewcm and everything and then just didn't ovulate and 6 days later- bang! No idea why it was delayed but if keep bd'ing if I was you!
I'm 3dpo and due 21st- I think! I ovulated late. I have a scan on the 20th to check my ovaries so am hoping she'll be like 'oh do you know there's a baby in there??' 😂

@PassTheAfterEights it’s good to know we are on the same CDs. 😊 I think this will help with my sanity! Let me know if you test tomorrow. I think I’m going to try and hold off POAS until AF due day, although I’m not sure I will manage to last until then. I haven’t bought any FRERs before. I have a Sainsbury’s cheap one in the bathroom cupboard which I was planning to use after AF was due. I might treat myself to some FRERs though. Fx for us both xx

Thanks @boboelephant. I was sooo tempted to test today but would rather af arrived than see a bfn! So decided to hold off and just wait until Thursday. However my DH has just told me that he may need to fly to London for work on Wednesday and might not be home until the Friday. He would rather I wait until then if af doesn’t show up before then. Aargh 😢 x

I'm ok thanks. Feeling like I've been waiting for ever. CD25 and only 3dpo. I waited so long for ovulation so now waiting in the tww feels never ending. Already failing in my attempt not to symptom spot! 🤦‍♀️

@JustLikeTheySaid I do the exact same thing. I have it planned perfectly how I would tell him but I’m too scared to buy an ‘announcement’ gro as I have a box full of baby clothes that I bought for my baby last year (MC) and it’s like a constant reminder. I wasn’t superstitious last year but I definitely am now 🤦‍♀️ I’m so scared to do anything “wrong” 🙄

Any manic symptom spotting? so far I've had a weird one this month actually - ewcm for about 7 days!! I usually only ever get it about 2 days prior to Ov and then it stops....but this went on for 5 days after dtd/ estimated ov....

Hopefully its a good sign - I've got swelling boobs too - but thats normal waiting for af business

@Boboelephant. The tww is the worst. It doesn’t help that most symptoms overlap with af! I got my hopes up last month and then was gutted when af arrived bang on time! I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you. When are you likely to test? X

@Sammy900 don’t want to get your hopes up but that was the only sign I had when I was pregnant last year. I had EWCM for another 6 or 7 days after ovulation, thought that I hadn’t ovulated and was having a long cycle or something but nope 2 days after it stopped - BFP I had never heard of that being a sign but it was for me, I reallly hope it is for you too 🤞🏼

eeek that is exciting thanks for sharing - it is really out of the norm for me so I've been going.... eh again? All last week - it's finally stopped now. I was wondering if anyone else had experienced this and then been preggers so thanks :)

I caved and bought some frer today. According to apps, AF due yesterday or today and nada so far. @Sammy900 I'm having CM more than usual as well, but I did drink grapefruit juice this month so maybe it's because of that?
