Starting an April thread because I couldn't see one yet.

I'm 33 (for another week!)
TTC baby number 4
Cycle 3
CD 3
BFP due 11/04

AF is nearly over here, I'll actually be fertile when DP is off work this month which helps. If I get my BFP this month I'll be due in the middle of December.

I'm invoking Murphy's law this month. I'm bound to get a BFP the week before we go for a child free week's holiday right?

@applesauce1 When a photo is inverted, if there is a second line there it tends to glow. So to me yours looks glowy

I'll keep fingers crossed that Daddy Apple gets to complete his evolution this cycle!

Aww thanks @clairehr ! I just did another IC and I'm getting more sure that there's a line. Unfortunately, I've reached my limit of photos that I can post today, so can't get a second opinion.

Also just read up on chemical pregnancies. 50-75% of first pregnancies are chemical?! That is a nice fact for me to carry around. Sorry to share. I don't think I wanted to know that either. Just like I don't care to know how many calories are in a glass of NZ sav blanc.

Mrs Y87 yes I took about 100 tests back when my period was meant to arrive..and one on Tuesday. Nothing so definitely not pregnant. Also the tests have gone up and down this week with two days strong like these but some of them almost totally blank. Grrr.

@hayleyfx Good luck to you! I've had similar experience so understand how much a sticky bean will mean! Fingers crossed for Xmas babies :)

Have the step children this weekend so hoping I'll be distracted from trying to POAS stupidly early!

Test or no test?

@applesauce1 FWIW re the chemical stats, remember that number includes all the ones people don't realise - it's only the early testers and desperate TTC'ers who find out (I had one in Jan - devastated - but if I hadn't been on the lookout for a preg would just have assumed AF was a few days late). Doesn't mean all pre-AF BFP's have a 50-75% chance of going west.

Not sure if you're on a desktop but the photo posting limit is much more generous than on mobile app............... can you tell I'm desperate to see bfp

@FingersXssd83 I'd definitely test but I'm a bit of a POAS addict!

I'm 3dpo today, will prob test at 10dpo if I can hold out that long (got a decent line at 10dpo with my DS so prob would have had a squinter a day before!) , although don't think we're in with much of a chance as we only dtd the day I got my opk and about 3 days before but as they say it only takes one swimmer!

@clairehr it’s so hard when you’re not just worrying about getting pregnant but also about managing to stay pregnant. Feeling a bit fed up but trying to be as positive as possible FX, it would definitely be the best Christmas present ever!
@FingersXssd83 I’d probably test first thing tomorrow morning, a test should be pretty accurate by now! I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you 😊🤞

@applesauce1 also just had a look at your test and it looks very promising! Definitely a line there

@PreparingToBeAMummy, @MrsY87 could be right. When I fell pregnant last year (MC) I took a ovulation text strip which was positive when I knew I couldn't be ovulating, made me realise I was pregnant and took a test & got a BFP so you may well be pregnant. I'll be keeping my fx for you. 🤞🏽😃

I've just sterilised a glass jar for my morning wee - who knows when my FRER will arrive tomorrow. I'm going to a wedding at 2 so I'm hoping it comes before then.

When we first started TTC, my mum gave me this old (1990) magazine that had super super microscopic photos of what happens from the sperms hitting the egg to baby being born. I just read the text to DH in my most clipped, BBC voice, but read 'blastocyst' as Blastoise to see if he was listening. We've decided that if there is a baby, it will begin as Squirtle and hopefully will evolve into a Blastoise. Fingers so tightly crossed for Squirtle to show me clear lines tomorrow morning!

@PassTheAfterEights That's a bit reassuring. I sort of wish I had waited a few more days so as not to get hopes up. Just addicted to weeing in random empty vessels found in my bathroom.

@clairehr Have you done any tests yet? I can't remember if I've read that you have or not? When are you due to start testing?

I have a digital test in the cupboard, but I really don't want to use it until I've got clearer lines, because seeing the words NOT PREGNANT are a bit soul destroying. Perhaps we could suggest a more kind message that Clear Blue could use? Like, either a picture of a baby for PREGNANT and a picture of a glass of wine, instead of NOT PREGNANT. Or even just the message, "YES WINE". Which is usually my motto.

No testing from me yet, far too early, but I CAN test from next week. Hoping to leave it until AF is due... but also said I'd not symptom spot this cycle and I failed on that one! Keeping myself entertained with the BFPs in here so far :)

@applesauce1 loving the Pokemon references! It'll be interesting to see what the Wartortle phase is like 😆. Keeping everything crossed for good line progression for you

I've been out tonight @applesauce1 which has been great as it's taken my mind off it all. Here's hoping for Squirtle #2. Will let you know how I get on 😁 x

Trying to go on cm this months, and it seems to be less ew today. So, if today isnt a lucky month I think Im gonna try some opks. Where is the best place to buy from (cheaply?) And what do i do with them?

@Pob13 I use one step ovulation test strips from eBay (amazon sell them too) 30 for £4! So cheap and they work perfectly for me!

@pob13 so glad u asked that i always wonder why there are rings in test pics. im not married or engaged (shock horror living in sin) so i have no ring to put in if i do one haha

due af tomorrow.. well today now as its almost 1am.. cervix is still high and soft though... straaaaange

getting so fed up now all i'm getting on clearblue is high fertility no peak when normally i would of had a positive ovulation test yesterday evening. is it possible the clearblue ones can just miss the surge as you have to take them in the morning only?
